  1. In the middle of Technicland strange things were happening. Nobody knew why the pile of 152 5x11 LBG Technic Panels we’re starting to move but it couldn’t be good? Or could it? The Monolith ! ... or perhaps this could be called what do you do when you’re bored and have 152 LBG panels from your TC14 entry. Enjoy :)
  2. In terms of custom pieces do you mean parts painted ? As the wheels have obviously been painted silver?
  3. You’ve got your title wrong. If you drive on the left hand side of the road, like in the UK, but sit on the right side of the car you drive a Right Hand Drive car. Left Hand Drive means you sit on the left in the car to drive it.
  4. Where are you seeing that? I can see 4 light grey ones inside the fish (and shown on the table) and I think there’s at least 1 black frame in the base structure
  5. I see (via Instagram) that your superb Golf is part of the Ideas display in Lego House. Do you have any plans for offering instructions or an LDD file? Shame it never made it as an official set
  6. Forma has a thread in Special Themes. I’ve ordered myself the full set
  7. Just seen this in the Technic theme and then watched the YouTube video. The website I ended up on wasn’t a traditional Lego one and implied these are limited editions for both the models and skins. So does that mean I can’t buy it from a Lego store? Anyone know any more? bitten the bullet and placed an order for the full uk set. Even if it dies after this model I think it’s an interesting concept
  8. Just watched the Forma video on YouTube. Looks interesting, it’s a kinetic sculpture with Technic at its heart and then a clip on cover. So where on this forum should this end up? Here or with the buildable figures?
  9. I don't think I have a preference for size. It's more about what the model looks like and how its functions work.
  10. I see the stuff on Facebook almost everyday offering the Chiron at half price. It’s a shame to see this happening to “one of our own”. Unfortunately this is something that’s tricky to stop, it’s blatantly a scam site and as you say their more likely to get a potato in a box rather than a lot of plastic. I’d ask TLG to see if they can offer any advice and hope that it goes like the recent spell of Lego UK and Lego England sits I’ve seen recently. i just hope this doesn’t put you or any of the big creators off building such fantastic models
  11. Don’t worry I’ll try to continue building my semi-random builds. Really enjoyed this competition, thanks @Jim
  12. I know and sooooo close. I was following the voting and me and Hall kept on switching places. Oh well ... but I don’t see me finishing this high again!
  13. Well done to everyone this was certainly different. Congrats to @shadow_elenter, @Erik Leppen & @HallBricks Thank you to everyone who voted for me and gave me my highest finishing place to date. Roll on TC15 ... PS anyone have any suggestions for what to do with a load of grey panels?
  14. Yes the Bugatti was phrased as Build the Impossible so I’m assuming this is something similar!
  15. I can understand the need for the colours as it helps with the model orientation when following the instructions. I recently built the Extreme Adventure but did a colour fix to light grey on the Chassis and it soon became confusing as to where the next part was going. i would love to build models removing the blue and red pins and axles but it often works out too costly to do so
  16. It’s still on my (very long) to do list to try and complete an LDD of your car
  17. I don’t think at this scale / price point it’ll have a gearbox.
  18. I wonder how many parts @Thirdwigg‘s 911 works out as. It’s one of my many WIP LDD files. It’s a good midi scale and could show what the RSR could be. An old RSR is a thing of beauty.
  19. Do we really need a mid scale Technic RSR? We’ve already got the RSR in speed champions and the GT3RS in large Technic. Interestingly it’s got the Corvette on this list which is also a speed champions model!
  20. Yet another great model from you. I love how compact you’ve managed to get this.
  21. GT race cars come in lots of different shapes. Spa 24hr this year was a prime example with I think 11 different manufacturers represented. A Lambo looks very different to a Bentley, or a Porsche or a BMW or a Lexus etc ... So do we think this will be a licence set or a generic set like the 24hr race car and the Rally car?
  22. Might sound like a stupid question but what’s the best way for applying these and lining them up? ive finally built the Porsche and have the v1 GT3 stickers to apply to the car
  23. Hi all, I’ve finally got round to building the Porsche as TC14 is now done. I’m building it using the “community driven Errata” pdf and I’m stuck. in the Errata there is a build stage 73 where you offer up the modified H frame and then the Errata has a stage 75 where you add a 11 long grey liftarm. but my problem is stage 74 in the manual has you clipping the H frame into place using 2 x 3L blue pins and the Errata pdf doesn’t show these 2 blue pins on stage 75 or any stage after as far as I can see in the version I’ve downloaded. let me appologise if this has already been answered but there’s 33 pages of comments on this thread, so I hope you can excuse me. thanks in advance, seasider Edit - ignore all this, it helps if I read the text in the Errata as it explains this!
  24. The fork lift is one of the original Technic models I have (though in need of some replacement parts) and I remember the chain mechanism well. glad to have solved your problem. im guessing the link will fit securely into a studless liftarm if you’re going in that route too
  25. Are you using Technic Chain 3711? if you are use Link Tread 3873 at the ends and this will push fit into a standard hole. this technique is used on Fork Lift 8843 ... from 1984! http://lego.brickinstructions.com/lego_instructions/set/8843/Fork_Lift_Truck
