  1. That was only ever available in the US. So hard to come by in the rest of the world.
  2. If Racers still existed as a theme, this would be exactly what we would be having under the brand. Speed Champions would be a subheading for the sets, but the product line would include the Technic sets under a Racers branding. However, it would be unlikely for there to be more racing cars in Creator or City lines as Racers: Speed Champions would take up that target. After All, Racers had licenses in the form of Ferrari and Lamborghini even in the "heyday".
  3. Fixed it for you I have a few business cards, a Figure for the Ideas House like Fangy (I think I got mine at the same time) and some bricks printed for the LEGO Production Factory. I guess the Dark Knight Batman minifig I have is also a rare/desirable figure.
  4. I'm going to go with: Those racers cars have poor designs compared to the new sets, the RC and Pullback sets were mostly a big prefab chunk so that they could be motorised, with minimal building involved. In person, they looked really bad compared to actual RC cars and the Technic cars designed for display. The best part of racers was the Stunt Rally PC game and the Drome Racers 4D Movie. But does this make it better? As suggested:
  5. Yeah, sure. From someone who was desiring LEGO sets during the "era" of Racers, the current crop of sets are way better. I had these sets and stripped the parts to build my own racing cars. About the only good thing about the old racers sets were the printed parts. Even the minifigure face designs were terrible.
  6. Thanks both, I always strive to build something fun to play with that also looks good from an AFOL perspective. While I admire the builds that look almost real, to me LEGO is a toy that is wonderful to play with, so I stick to that aesthetic.
  7. Oh yeah, that is exactly what any company would do if their trademark is going to be infringed. Whether it is Singhsburys or any number of burger places mimicking that popular franchises without being a franchisee, you'll get a contact from the lawyers. So someone did something that was going to have problems, but tried to blame something more sensational? I figured that too.
  8. We all risk the brand we are fans of coming down, legally speaking, and demanding we cease using anything they have legal ownership of. This is why EB does not host leaks or discussion of bootleg sets. Companies owe us nothing, brand loyalty is a personal choice and purchasing their products only covers you for quality standards. I love bricks and building with them, brand is secondary unless I want to enter contests
  9. Loving all that colour you've got there. Always showing us excellent builds whenever you post a MOC. Thanks for sharing here.
  10. If you edge over the fair use policy and start making money (even if it is a monetised YT channel) then the lawyers are going to come along regardless of your stance on the product.
  11. SET DISCUSSION! Say it with me S - E - T. You know, the little plastic bricks that we build with. NOT THE PLOT OF THE MOVIES. There is a thread in a whole subforum dedicated to the Multimedia that comes with LEGO these days. Go and harp on about the plot, the meta story, the "politics", in the correct place!
  12. Though, there is something of a disaster if they tip over. I use one for MF heads and it was set in a place that was secure. But one day disaster struck, the whole thing was tipped. And some choice words were all I could do! It took some picking and re-sorting afterwards!
  13. I certainly want one of each of these (maybe not Unikitty). They all look fun and I'll certainly have uses for all those spiffy parts. Personal highlights - Scarfield the cat, aww what a cute kitty! Lucy's apocalypse gear is very versatile. Candy with her cassette tape (what a flashback to my childhood) and that toolbox with a classic space logo
  14. Ok, so what the actual heck? Why is this sort of discussion suited to the SET discussion thread, as in the toys that come from the film NOT the plot of the film. Or the plot of the past film. Or any of this Piers Morgan style dismissal of people who do not conform to the 1950's accepted norm. So, take it the heck away from here and no one will be having any trouble.
  15. That is a lot of Nice Part Use there. Really liking some of those techniques and colours. Thanks for sharing it with us
  16. There is also a chance of eBay or Gumtree or Facebook marketplace supplying what you need. Again, maybe a problem in Asia where the market is still pretty new for LEGO.
  17. That obelisk is just filler right now, once I have built more for the diorama, the are it is in will be leading on to another section. I just thought it looked too blank when I set up to photograph.
  18. Thanks for all the kind comments everyone. Like I said before, I am making plans to replicate the other set features and expand the diorama in a similar style. Also, thanks for sharing that cool layout Western Outlaw. I never managed to get that Indy set and my original Sphinx long left its original form.
  19. Wonderful build! But Steampunk lives in SciFi, so I shall move it over there
  20. Yes it is! I got the set and had the idea for building the MOC. Yes it does! But this was put together from parts on hand well away from my build area and my full collection. So I was forced to work with what I had (a shoebox of mixed small creator polybags, mixels and magazine freebies). I like to work with limits sometimes.
  21. It might not fit the MILS system then. If I understand correctly, it is not allowed to be larger than 32x32 and it cannot overhang. One of the few solutions is to "peel" the baseplate off the set and then build the MILS requirements in. Or you'll need to simply sit it on a 32x32 that has the MILS bricks in.
  22. As this is a clone brand,I am going to move it to community. While the mod is impressive, people get tetchy about Non-LEGO products in the main part of the forum.
  23. Local Hospice shop and also the Heart Foundation shop has had LEGO too. The hospice shop has been a source of many good finds for me.
  24. Another way to gather parts, if amassing any LEGO at all is your goal, is looking at the second-hand market. Though, in Asia I do not know how active or affordable it is. Here in the UK, charity shops, flea markets, local selling pages and the like can supply parts very cheaply. On the weekend I picked up a box of bricks for £4 (£3.49 actually, but it was a charity shop, so I donated the change). There was clone brands in there, but once I parted them up I had a fair amount of LEGO at a good price. (And a lot of brick for my "monkey box" of bricks for kids to play with).
  25. What a wonderful dragon. Thanks for sharing it with us, but I must ask: Why the spoiler tag to hide the picture?
