REVIEW: 71024 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Disney Series 2
Peppermint_M replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Liking this series, it is very good! Thanks for your wonderful review Fangy! They are always top-notch. I know I will need one of each of these figures at least, and those different head accessories on the figures will be great to add to the Friend's rubber hair. -
Eurobricks event #15 Günzburg - information topic
Peppermint_M replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Or as we did with the Unikitty: Send different eventees with your purchase I know I won't be needing anything specific to such a weight, I am too random with my building and projects that I can't pre-plan well! I am happy to be a "mule" for Bricks -
4 days until the event! 4 years ago it was 2015! 2015 had plenty of very good sets, making it quite hard for me to figure out my favourite. But I decided! 41073 Naida's Epic Adventure Ship Here was a LEGO set, a whole LEGO theme that finally appealed to my sister and I. Exciting designs with an adventure to be had, in gorgeous colours and a unique aesthetic. Ferris Wheel and Temple of Airjitzu are runners up.

Oh, the LEGO movie was full of fun stuff! I would have loved the Sea Cow. This kind of was the one I thought was best, because Johnny Thunder

Eurobricks event #15 Günzburg - information topic

Mmmmm, bricks. If the Fenzes leave us some nice things! -
The joust was my favourite that year, I wish I had bought two! The Hobbit and LotR did bring a lot of cool parts out though.

Mill Village, I LOVED it. Goats! A true LEGO Goat for the secret internet goat They are now something of a signature in my very large builds. The set has slowly come apart as I built more Castle, but I really do love it.

Maybe this discussion should go in another thread? Like, one of the many covering ideas for new themes, Action Themes and potential Future themes?

It looks really really dodgy. In all things in life: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!

I loved that set, but I got the Medieval Market Village that year. No space for a choo-choo in my house. An excellent choice for the year!

So there are many deep reasons that I look after Action and Adventure Themes. It is also why this is exactly what I look for in music.

What LEGO Theme would you adapt in a Live-Action Movie?

If you think it fits in media, I'll move it over. -

I would 100% watch this. I want the older buildings to really rip on how young the newer ones are and get all snooty about neo-classical over Deco and modernist. Just for laughs, there are a few Brutalist buildings they can all ignore I need singing Johnny Thunder in my life. Let him grow the mustache (we know for sure he can do the sideburns) and he can be Live Action! JT. Singing. -
Yah, guys, can we not wander in to the political? As tempting as it is, we're here for LEGO and uniting fans of said bricks. Yep, this is a site designed by a guy in France to celebrate a Danish toy inspired by a British toy, a site to chat with friends about bricks. Then as it grew in scope more an more fans from around the world joined. The tagline was updated to include everyone. Changing the name now would confuse and alienate members. As for the logo: Anyone with the graphical skills to make it how you think it should look? Go ahead and create. The site is run, maintained and staffed by volunteers, so some things we don't have time to get to. If you want to try helping instead of gumbling, that is super welcome.

Good grief! That is a WIP? I applaud your work and greatly look forward to the final MOC!

I can go and move it for you. Staff and some regulators have that permissions on the forum to move things. I would think it goes in the town forum (from the thread name!) so I'll move it over.

Another fab build! The Duplo Duck really fits a fairground build, it looks like the fiberglass models that most side-shows and rides have as decoration at the fair. The Unikitty bases are a great touch in the background. Thanks for sharing

HispaBrick Magazine 032 is out!
Peppermint_M replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Having had a chance to read this issue, it was nice to see @Redhead1982 featured. -
Oh that was fun. All in good jest, Why change the name? A lot of big companies find they lose recognition and customers/users when they change their name. A site like EB keeps the name. Besides, there is nothing wrong with Euro in the name.

Gorgeous build! It looks like a lovely South Cost villa. I especially like the pool deck (I could spend a few lazy afternoons there with some drinks and a good book) and the lite bley ingots as stonework. I have the baseplate in the desert colours that came in Adventurers, so I know what it is like to work with Thanks for sharing.

He beat me to the punch! Inverted tiles look great, but the 1x3 does not come in as many colours as the 2x2 and it also has hole for a peg in the middle. For dusting, Make-Up brushes are great for LEGO. They are gentle enough not to displace parts in a fragile build, come in a number of shapes and sizes and while the £/$ store ones are terrible for applying make-up, they are fine for dusting LEGO!

I will shuffle it across for you

I am going to guess that whatever team/company runs the Ideas site put through some sort of update to the live software system that knocked out the ability to link to images. The company I work for has their software handled by an external provider and I can tell you, every update brings new problems for us in the office!

I am personally sketching out a continuation, bouncing ideas off my sister and gathering parts for builds. It does mean that I have been getting some -cough- custom minidolls.

Eurobricks Event #15 Building Challenge
Peppermint_M replied to Skalldyr's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Newport is mine, Casnewydd in Welsh. Not sure if you're the only one, but I am at the point of seeking a good package to bring mine along.
