Precisely, if members could message right off the bat then we would all be flooded with spam. As a member of other forums that don't have this rule, I can attest that there are either a lot of "hot singles in my area" or many spammers

Eurobricks event #15 GÜNZBURG (!) sign up thread
Peppermint_M replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
That sounds fine I will book the flight to Stuttgart. Plus, the afternoon flight home on the Sunday means I have plenty of time to get to the airport -

@Holodoc Just to check: Is the flight that gets in at 11:45 am the best for meeting Mike and you? -

@Holodoc Well, I can get flights direct that will land at 11:45 am or 17:10 on Thursday. Then they depart at 17:15 on the Sunday. I would love a ride from and to the airport but which is the best time? (The flights, a bus to heathrow and a hotel overnight is still cheaper than the flights I lost) -

Sounds excellent! I am doing the maths and figuring things out, but it honestly looks cheaper for me to travel to London a day earlier, stay overnight and fly early on the 11th than it would be to take a flight from a local airport. With a return flight and a second overnight stay and a bus home too. So, I'll plot everything out! -

OK, so it looks like I might end up going to Heathrow to get to Munich! But what I really need to know: I have to get back to Munich airport for a midday flight, (then a long wait at Frankfurt) the trains do run on Sunday? I think I would have to leave in the morning on Sunday (possibly early) so I can get for my lunchtime flight home. -

Uh, I live in a village... But I will do my best (Or pinch the city I work in as a theme). -
Can you all stop arguing about leaks/lies/story-time ? Or does the thread need closing a while so everyone can cool off?

LEGO CEO suggests Chinese inspired sets
Peppermint_M replied to ArneNielsen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yo. I have a set of mininbuild Journey to the West figures/scenes so I could have that Sun and his friends. I have a set of Romance of the Three Kingdoms figures with excellent horses and weapons. I also have a half-dozen figures with accessories in tan for the Terracotta Army (Though I would love some in a dark orange). I have been doing my best to find some Calabash Brothers figures. There are some great traditional stories and legends packed with interesting characters that would grab attention as an Action and Adventure theme, not to mention a number of architectural and fortification types that come from the east and look very nice. -
This is my attempt at a "harder" SciFi build, something a little more real. Keeping that in mind, I looked at the aesthetic of current and past space exploration vessels, both realised and theoretical. I imagined this as some sort of smaller scout craft that would be sent out from a larger vessel. Teithiwr is Traveller in Welsh, a name I thought apt for a little spacecraft set out to chart new corners of the universe. Onward brave explorer! The Pilot is currently flying the craft. Of course, without the constraints that a LEGO Minifig necessitates I could have positioned a pilot a little better. If a minifig was human scaled then it would not be as charming though, so I will happily work with them when I build The propulsion unit, keeping in mind that in space there is no air resistance to work around, inertia means the thrusters are only there to manoeuvre around. I hope you like this MOC, it was a fun and new challenge for me to keep things a little more "down to earth" so to speak.

Help with identifying parts/sets!
Peppermint_M replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It looks a little like the sort of things that could be in place at a creche, activity centre or other such place. Even children's hospitals can have little things like this in the playroom. -

I certainly want to come, I have asked for better options from the company I booked onto BMI with, if they do not come up with something I will sort out another set of flights, The Event is my annual holiday trip, so I am making a great effort to get flights or other travel sorted. -
I'm going to move this over to Community, as it is not official LEGO media, or presented as simply a video review of the sets.

I would love to see such rare and amazing LEGO artefacts! As for selling, you could look into auction houses that deal with toy sales. There are a number of them now, as Star Wars, Transformers and other toys have become valuable and desirable collector items. Unfortunately, I only really know of the UK based auction houses. I am not sure what there would be in Sweden, but Google for "auctions of vintage toys" or "specialist toy auctions" might help. You too

What do you do with your old instructions?
Peppermint_M replied to Calanon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have them in boxes and then crammed into spaces that the boxes fit... I have been considering doing something else to organise them or something, but then I still have LEGO to sort. Maybe one day I will do something else with them, but right now it is just a horde. -
What a spiffy bit of Skyfi hardware you've got there It is a favourite subject of mine and I always enjoy seeing other's creations. Thanks for sharing this with the forum.

At the moment I am looking at a mix of options, both other airports and even travelling earlier to start and later to get home. The Prices are pretty awful sadly. I'll give Momondo a look too, thanks -

Currently not so fun, I am hoping that in the next few weeks some other carrier takes on the routes that BMI covered, so I can fly according to plan. -

Ok... So the airline I booked with has just gone into administration. I paid with credit card, so no concerns about getting the money back, but now I have to figure out how I am getting to Germany... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47267901 EDIT: Something it seems I can't get to work on immediately, as all the flight booking sites still have BMI as a carrier option -
There is also the chance of going the Power Rangers/Voltron/Digimon route and come up with a new team. There are a lot of options open to take then; Next Generation, New Spinjitsu Students, a rag tag group of different personalities stumbling across the power of spinjitsu... So many tropes and all of them fun to work with. Heck, there is always the "Alternate Reality" or "Alternate Timeline" options that can use the same character names but in a different situation.
