Alternative Parts for Soft Axles
Meatman replied to Sheepo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This part is also very rare and expensive now. -
I have 2 questions, in front of the rear wheels, why did you use 7 stud length red lift arms instead of 2 thin red 6 stud length ones? And how well to those 1/2 bevel gears mesh together with each other? I noticed you used this technique in a few places. I don't think I've ever seen that done before. Very clever. Very much looking forward to building this in the future.

Absolutely gorgeous. Probably the best looking combination of brick and technic car that I've seen yet. My only critique is the small amount of axle that catches the wheels. But I understand that is because of the Enzo wheel covers being used.

This is such an awesome set! Can't wait to pick this up.

[MOC] 1:10 Lancia 037 Rally Car
Meatman replied to Hrafn's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No shame in that at all. Got to go with what works for you and works best. I've seen many new types of new suspensions that people have come up with, but most look fairly flimsy. Nice model by the way! -
I must say that is pretty awesome. It might be just a bit too large for Cuusoo though they seem to be all about smaller sets.

My kids have some of the G.I. Joe sets. They are Ok. I'll take better designed quality sets over box quality any day.

Great Figures! Wonder which one(s) will be the most sought after? I would think Ralph Wiggum.

Crowkiller's Muscle Car
Meatman replied to Kronos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
A servo motor and 2 of the Large motors with a rechargeable battery. I don't expect anything spectacular in terms of speed, but it will be a pleasant experience to see it in motion. -

That is a really innovative model. I have never seen anyone do working wipers. Very nice!- 57 replies

Crowkiller's Muscle Car
Meatman replied to Kronos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I am currently working on adding power functions to my model now because there is so much room. However, I do not think they will make it better than it is because the gearbox will be eliminated. It will be fun to drive it around though. -

Aren't those the same wheels? -
Here is a nice article that one of our own here wrote about building cars. Most of this would probably apply to just about any vehicle though as it is pretty general.

[WIP] Pajero Pinin

Yeah I agree about that. Maybe ribbed 7mm hose? I don't know if they make it long enough in that color though. -
CubeStormer 3 Breaks record
Meatman replied to pluto7443's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I mean in this video if someone mixed the cube up and then put it into the machine. The video starts with it already there in place. I also never realized that Lego motors cold move that fast. Are they modified in some way?- 13 replies
