  1. Wow. That looks very good.
  2. Too bad we still do not have the new 2014 sets yet. I would say the best deal is if you want to buy 2 of the 9398 crawlers. They are at least regular price.
  3. From a father of 2, you have my condolences. This is a very sad story.
  4. Even in the 8070 supercar the wheel will rub the fender.
  5. These models were not designed for us in the first place. When I first seen the pics of this bulldozer, I thought it looked pretty good.
  6. I have noticed this as well. This goes the same for mocs. You'll see a fantastically designed non motorized moc that goes on unappreciated meanwhile a less than stellar model gets praise for driving around in circles. What he probably means by sad is AFOL not appreciating what actually goes into designing a model that is released to the public.
  7. These have been around for a long time.
  8. Paul, this looks so amazing. Well so much for the red parts that I've been collecting.
  9. I think stickers are fine to an extent for effects, but I've seen some MOCs that have gone way overboard. Some of Lego's official models also use way too many stickers. I also don't like when stickers are used to create transitions or one sticker covers more than one part.
  10. These are 3 of my favorites from crowkillers 2012? 2013? 2014 I like the colors on this one. The brickshelf folder says 2011 2 pretty white cars by Crowkillers Daywalker 2013? 2010? Nathanael Kuipers' Concept Car 2008
  11. Some of these cars are nice, but I think they use way too much of that flexible tubing to get the desired effect. I guess it would cut down on weight though.
  12. Probably just an error. Lego has a lot of odd things in their parts inventory on their site.
  13. Agree. That is about 11 or 12 American dollars. Can't wait.
  14. Any idea on the cost? Everyone's instructions seem to be getting more and more expensive.
  15. True, but you have to look at everything involved that helped make it a classic. Would it still be a classic if not for an edge with non Lego parts? As far as inspiring goes, the model that inspired me(and I am sure numerous others) to get involved in Lego again is one of the most viewed technic models at brickshelf and mocpages. But no offense to the builder but I wouldn't really consider it worthy of any type of Hall of Fame in 2014 because it is so dated by today's standards.
  16. I agree about it being a classic, but if you make an exception for one person, then you almost have to do it for everyone. Only reason why is because I am sure there are other people that have built cranes that would have loved to have used custom parts but chose to find other methods using Lego. I also found it a bit amusing that right here at eurobricks there non Lego items featured on the frontpage, but since they are minifig, I guess it is ok.
  17. I see the instructions for the 853 are for sale at mocplans. I thought $10 was for all 4 of them, but it is just one. I am still going to buy it though.
  18. I've noticed a lot of people doing live stream Lego things now. One person is charging a fee for offering Lego buying tips for bricklink sellers.
  19. I am a car person, so I'll speak for 2 people themselves and say that these 3 should be in as well. Looking at brickshelf, it certainly seems these are 3 of the most rebuilt models posted under the technic tag. Every time brickshelf updates another one of these pops up by someone. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62699&st=0 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=80296 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73723 <-Can't find the original thread, but I remember much controversy surrounding this one both here and technicbricks. I would also add Sheepo's Porsche and Landrover since they generated so much positive Lego interest all around the internet. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=55035&st=0 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=80063
  20. How are you supposed to decide what gets in and what doesn't? I can see a lot of hurt feelings here.
  21. I agree. I ordered a few sets of the chrome wheels from chromebricks and I think they look fantastic. The tire may be a bit too low profile for this particular era, but they look great.
  22. I really liked the way the damped shocks were used on the SSS. The gullwing door model was so cool.
  23. Just a thought though, maybe this model did not pass the review because he is selling instructions and according to the Cuusoo rules, instructions are not supposed to be sold for the models. They have been pretty strict with the rules as of late. Models are disappearing from Cussoo left and right.
