  1. According to the description in the instructions, it was based on several muscle cars from the 60's. I think it looks like a Mustang/Camaro mix. It cost me about $200. I did have some parts to start with though, but not many.
  2. This is looking quite astonishing, but I have to be honest, those curves around the wheels look kind of cheesy with all of those joiners and bushings.
  3. This is really cool. I think it would have been a more impressive video if someone would have randomly mixed the cube up prior to placing it into the cube solver. This way it removes any doubt of the moves being predetermined.
  4. Welcome Owen!
  5. I think if you have to result to screws or glue, you may want to rethink the build.
  6. This part has also become quite the rare item. I think this model uses 4 of them.
  7. Wow, that parts has gotten really rare. This store has the most.
  8. Congrats on making the front page! Well deserved!
  9. I wonder if Lego still has them in stock? They might considering that a German store has over 170 of them and probably got them from Lego. You know what is really shocking?
  10. Welcome to the forum! You should be able to link your pictures right to here. I am actually subscribed to your youtube channel!
  11. I am just wondering how stable that front axle is only using a stud width to support it. That is why I was wondering what springs they were.
  12. I guess that is the trade off if you want speed. This is really nice. Does anyone know what springs are being used for the front suspension?
  13. Oh yeah, now you get the rebrickable links up! J/K. Stunt car eh? This should be interesting. That render is awesome by the way. Nice job Bakbird!
  14. Had to wait for a few more key parts to finish her up. But here she is. I love this model. It looks great and is fairly simple with some unusually neat and unique build techniques. I like the way the hood opens, very nice and smooth. The gearbox and suspension work perfect. The instructions were easy to follow although you have to look carefully when building the black chassis because the pins are hard to see, but luckily you get the black version of instructions along with the red and the black set has the chassis in light blue gray, so if you are having trouble seeing, you can use that as a reference. I changed the blower to a sort of shaker scoop and used the pearl silver grill from the black model on the red model. Also went with the new glossy black wheels. The intro to the instructions did say to use the plans as the outline and you become the painter. This would be a great model to motorize too. Lot of room for motors and a battery box. And it isn't a very heavy model either. Had a lot of fun building this and the end result is superb as always. Great job guys! Edit: I need to learn how to take better pictures.
  15. Yeah, I would just keep it in this thread.
  16. Really cool model and idea. I think there is a thread about it in another forum from back when it was added to cuusoo. I think it is the special interest forum.
  17. He only has one picture of it. I would like to see more.
  18. Made it up to page 125 last night and should be able to finish the red model today. I must say that you guys did an amazing job with these instructions. Everything is clear and easy to follow. I liked the comments and background history in the beginning too, that was a nice touch. The chassis is excellent. I love how the suspension works in both the front and rear and the transmission is really interesting although somewhat simple with only 4 forward gears, but I like how it is built into the frame of the car. It's clever and it works. It also makes it look more realistic. I'll get some pictures posted hopefully tomorrow of the final model. I am changing the blower though. Going to try a shaker scoop idea and using the new gloss black 6 hole wheels.
  19. Looking good. Is the front wheel base just a bit too narrow for the body? Or are you going to use different wheels? Maybe it's just the camera angle that makes it appear narrow.
  20. That is BS my friend. Something needs to be done about this.
  21. I've built this model and it has a nice live axle design. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5387480
  22. I don't mean to sound blunt, but what does that have to do with the subject of this topic?
  23. That is pretty cool. I remember seeing a real car similar to this that some college kids invented last year. EDIT-> Here is the one that I had seen.
