  1. What a beast, That chassis sure does look strong! Lovely video, (not the music tho :P) I wish I had such nice environments to test my stuff out in. Very lucky!
  2. WOW that's a lot of everything and a mountain of remote! Very impressive, I too can't wait for the video and pics! Great job!
  3. Thanks! Here is a video to show the movement, you have to look very carefully at the recoil cos of bad quality. But thats the motion im after. :D
  4. Very cool! I like the motion and smoothness, reminds me of a Goa'uld from Stargate!
  5. WOW! Very nice, I like the 8 spoke design. Great job!
  6. Quick update. Working on a firing system for the Main gun on the Patria. I hope the arrows explain whats happening, haha. This is a very rough experiment, trying to get the right movement. Basically with the motor spinning, there is a small pause between "firing" This motion is to simulate the turrets recoil. This is the first time I'v tried such mechanics, and I'n really enjoying it! If anyone seems something obvious I'm doing wrong please say so! or any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
  7. Apologies, I didn't explain myself well, What I meant to say is that my rechargeable say 1.2 volts but when read with a multimeter and fully charged says 1.4 v
  8. I really like how you have given the robot a character, by shaking his head. Awesome project!
  9. I have never seen more than 4 AAA batteries charger before. I think 2 AAA battery boxes would be fine, cos I'm running 4XL, and a servo on 1 atm and its good! V2 IR. That's actually not true, with good quality rechargeable, such as Every-ready, you get 1.4 V out of a good charge. Incidentally, a brand new fresh Alkaline is normally around 1.62 Volts.
  10. Yes the frame is bending, but the cab is upright! I think Waler did the best that can be done from lego, and that's excellent.
  11. I know what you mean, I'm really struggling to make bodywork on my projects. But I have noticed I'm getting better and quicker at it, so just keep moving!!! What you have done looks awesome!
  12. I know what you mean! I had to rip apart the reaper just to continue with my projects. heheheh Look forward to seeing that one too! I have an idea! I just looked at my "real" RC car and wondered if you rip it apart and use all its components with 100%lego chassis, how fast can lego gooooo? I would say it would be safe upto 30kph after that I'm sure it would break apart.
  13. Thanks guys! No not at all! Thank you for your input.
  14. Urggh, WHY did I spend all my money on lego and NOT get RC motors?? haha Great car! Very fast! quick question, with an axle and axle connector coming directly out of the motor, can you with your fingers stop it spinning?
  15. Thanks guys! It was the Patria that broke, hehe. This is what inspired the Hot rod. So pretty.
  16. Thank you guys! Thanks. It was in fact brand new, perhaps it was just a dud with a minor defect in molding, and after some stress broke. I will swap it over to the right side and swap that back to the left, so all good for now, just hope more don't break!
  17. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAAAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAHHHHAAA I laughed so loud! Cheers
  18. Thanks man! Bit hard to see, so I took another pic. The tow ball part snapped off.
  19. Hi Everyone! This thread will contain all my WIP with regular updates, and finished projects will have their own thread, with high quality pics, videos and maybe files. I will be using this to document everything I do with Lego Technic! Gone a bit mad To start with, here is my current problem!!!! My Patria 8x8 AMV ....broke I was just testing on level ground, then a small object and crack! :cry_sad: I will just swap them over from left to right, but still very puzzling after not even going off-road! Is this a known flaw? Anyone else experienced simpler breakage? My other current project is a 32 Ford Hot Rod. Here is a quick video of performance. It features live axles front and rear and chassis modeled of the real thing. 2XL motors power and 1 servo for steering. More pics are coming soon, so stay tuned! Thanks for looking!
  20. Good body work! I'm liking those tires too.
  21. Amazing truck! Excellent video, very well edited and thought out. Great job making all that from the pieces that you had.
  22. I really like it in red! I think its design is great, and would be happy to call it my own! Great job!
  23. Lego technic 8455 Backhoe Loader JCB is on eBay now, reasonably priced! Go for that man!
