  1. This model is insane! So many functions, fantastic detail and huge size! Those panels..... Great job.
  2. Hi Weavil! Could you please explain what your moc is? :D Cheers.
  3. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks! WOW oh WOW, that is awesome looking indeed! Great job! Is there a video? :D
  4. That looks really awesome! I bet its powerful too with 2 XL's. Sweet design
  5. WOW, really nice design! I like how you used those gears from the XL motors! Great job  Welcome to Euro-bricks too
  6. I think its important to note that you should only attempt to modify lipo batteries if you REALLY know what you are doing. They are dangerous and a friend of a friend of mine DID set his house on fire!! after doing stupid things with them. After all they recommend you charge them in fire proof bags! For Lego applications I think they hold good potential, but only in the hands of experienced electronic hobbyist or professionals!
  7. yes i do like it! I'm a big fan of nxt motors now, and this design is looking really good! I like your steering with the LA's too. The rear wheel solutions for suspension and drive are cool. Do you use rechargeable batteries? Great job, keep at it and make a cool body.
  8. Interesting thread! I have thought about this a bit, and believe that batteries designed for RC aircraft are the way to go! 58 x 19 x 6 mm. 19.5g 2 of these flat. http://www.helipal.c...r-heli-25c.html
  9. Wow this is sweet! Great performance and looks! I really like the bounce and soft suspension, great job!
  10. This is looking really good! I'm very excited! Only Wished I worked for Animal Logic (The animators) Deff one for BRay!
  11. For those that have not seen or do not know! Yes I know its not technic, but perhaps its ok to show!
  12. Arrh, just make your own from some old plastic lid. I made some shown below, work great! but under massive stress will slip. Why exactly do you consider the model above to be a failure? :) I can see the steering geometry needs to be swapped towards the center of the vehicle not the front, for much better steering, you have plenty of room.
  13. sweet, any idea on a mechanism to hold the ring in place? :D
  14. "im away from my legos for some days" This is just not good enuf!~! :P I guess I will have to build it to see! :D Great job on its compactness Edit: After following the path of motion using my "imagination" :P I have a feeling that the torque will separate the 8t from the 24t for the low gear. Have you tested this? Could be wrong tho. :D
  15. Thanks for all the nice comments guys! Ohhh that is a thought, will have a look see. @aqaz That's funny, cos I was thinking the exact same thing. Tho I will stick it out with this model and the next one will be slightly larger with unimog for back and large bike for front. after all I hav lots to learn.
  16. Another update! I have lowered the bonnet by 1 stud. Made the front axle narrower by 1 and completely redesigned it. Now it is smaller lighter and stronger! WIN WIN. I think it looks much cleaner and less bulky too. As for the wheels, still not decided as yet. I think 62.4 ones are too small as you can see below. But at least this new axle can support them, so the choice is available. I think with grey rims the wider tire will look better. This will be a tutor Hotrod, so I do think the wider tires will look good when the huge back is built. Thanks very much for your comment, but unfortunately as you can see I have already altered the model before I read this! The tire I want doesn't exist in lego!
  17. Gorgeous design. I really like the colour scheme and details. what part is used in the wheels? Fantastic functions too!
  18. Absolutely stunning bike! I can't believe this is an actual set. Forgive me for suggesting, but can't you just rotate the tire 180 to get the tread to match? (Edit: beaten to it)
  19. I tried, but those wheels don't fit in the new 42000 hubs. If I place them out wards it looks even more strange. What other wheels are there that are thinner than 8070 wheels? I'm thinking a complete resign when I have the time. I have RC motors coming so may want to put them in and make it much faster!
  20. thanks for the comments guys. But I'm not sure, I'm basing the design of these pics. Keep in mind this is a wide angle lens so it is a bit distorted I think the head lights on mine are a little too high, to be honest. Not sure how I will fix that! Also the wheel dont help, I think I need to reduce the live axle by 2 studs and bring in the lights by half a stud each.
  21. This is soooo awesome, I can't wait for a detailed body!
  22. Here's a quick update on the Hot rod detailing. This is my first attempt to really detail a model, so thought I would try this before the Patria! hahaha
  23. That is a great idea! you could include a elevator or travelator! That would be awesome! How much lego do you have? :P
