  1. I 2nd that! please make your own thread! This model deserves it! your photography is dreamy as well, how do you achieve such imagery? :D I inspired you to make that??? WOW, I feel so honored, but really the pleasure to see this (hopefully all of it soon) is all mine. Thank you so much for sharing!
  2. That's sweet! Seems quite fast. Thanks for sharing! :D
  3. What a stunning model! I'm not a huge fan of bikes but I love this! Excellent job. Can't wait to see your crawler now! No pressure!
  4. WOW I tried this before I continued reading what you wrote, and it didn't work for me, lol. How do you do the Aluminum hack?
  5. OH wow! I feel very honored! Great to hear. Will you be posting it here soon? Is that your bike in your avatar pic? Any links? I would love to see that!
  6. :D yes that is the plan! And yes where are all the Brisy lurkers!!?
  7. :) they were stated as "used" no other comment. Yes I will buy new now, as much as possible. This thread reminds me of this monster!!! http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/1786
  8. I'm very interested in this! Good luck I was making a system that recoils the main gun, and also provides a "movement" by dropping a kind of hammer inside the body of my Patria. This makes the whole vehicle shake. :D The problem I have is when the turret turns, it will "effect" the recoil of the gun. :(
  9. This is really awesome! thank you for sharing so much.
  10. @cgg199 if you would upload the lfx file, I Would be happy to give it a shot! :D
  11. HAHA! Awesome! I too like the idea of purchasing motors "new" from lego direct, however after the last XL motor that was sealed new in bag, was NOT lubricated inside the planetary gears, I was very disappointed. I of course took it apart and greased it up myself (it was a good excuse to take it apart!) :P it has worked fine for months and is about 5% quieter and faster than the other XL's. :) I do believe that the arrival of the co-creation model has held things up! That's 20,000 servos, and 40,000 L motors being used respectively. However surely they would have thought about that considering the competition was for 9398 chassis.
  12. Very good! Inside the red rings, they are just normal 2l connectors yeah? Not the fancy tan knobbly ones. :P
  13. I know this is an old thread, but wanted to say thanks for making those instructions! Great job, and the design too. I will give it a go when I finish work. :)
  14. If you get wheels from ebay, or bricklink, make sure they are new, as 75% of used small wheels i have brought have been cracked!!
  15. Ansmann 1.9" I think, was a long time ago. :D
  16. Sweet! Cya here then! :P That is absolutely true! Awesome! Well I'm not super Brisbane local, but will meet members there. :) I would say in true Aussie style, "bush bashing" would be the way to go for the first time, so we all can just have fun with whatever we got! Then discuss some rules and regulations.
  17. Oh hey thats totally cool! The reason they are different is cos I was experimenting with the axle to make it strong enough. This is where I'm upto now. Thanks for noticing it!
  18. Wow, great machine! I'm wondering would it work better if you had the arm controlled by NXT motors instead of PF ones? Awesome work tho!
  19. A few months ago I started, and I certainly did not have 100 posts. I think there is a week wait tho. :)
  20. Thanks again for all the advice guys! But where are the Aussies??? lol I agree too!
  21. Those wheels cost about $5 Aus each new. :D I'm sorry, I don't know what you are referring too? :) It's very late here. lol
  22. Ahh sweet! thanks! you Could still design a model based on a track ect, and someone here could build and race it on your behalf! Thanks for all the help guys! I love this, regarding rules for trial trucks. 2.1 Modifier The modifier is calculated: (weight of the truck [g])/(sum of all motors’ power for 9V) The trucks are weighted right before the competition 2838/0,9W 71427/0,58W 43362/0,51W 5292(RC)/2,38W 47 154/0,74W NXT/2,03W PF Medium/1,04W PF XL/2,21W This looks like so much fun! I hope there are enough people in Brisbane area to do it!
  23. Aww sweet! This sounds promising! :D Thanks for that! Just wondering the rules regarding construction? Anyone know what they are? Or where I can find them. :D HAHA, well you are more than welcome here! :D Start saving!
  24. Hello! I'm just curious to know how many people here would be interested in doing some truck trial or similar event here in Brisbane, Australia. For those not in Australia, any advice on holding a truck trials would be greatly appreciated! Rules Regulations, ect. :D
  25. "THERE IS ALWAYS TIME FOR LEGO!!!" I'm very sad to read all this! I always build a set the day I get it, unless its for xmas of Birthday. :)
