Both A and B models look great. I love the rally car, it makes good use of the 41999 stickers -

While you all are rebuilding the gearbox and steering area, I went for something much more simple Here's my humble rebuild of the spoiler in order to get an idea of the scale of the set. Its pretty big and can be easily angled a few degrees forward and backward -
Well I started work on another truck. It all started when I was trying to build a car, and wondered why no one puts gearboxes in truck MOCs. So, I decided to make a manual truck with a 2 speed gearbox. I also wanted a pneumatic crane on the back, but wanted all the wires/functions to be routed to the middle of the truck. Something like this Here's the chassis. Its quite sturdy and can take some abuse. I added a bed and the Unimog crane as a test. Current progress is looking much messier as I have not had any time to order new parts. The front axle has been moved forward one stud and the truck now has Ackermann steering (based off this http://www.moc-pages.../moc.php/320971) Excuse the messy colors and such, but I was able to wire all the pneumatics and turntable rotation. I plan to have 3 pneumatic functions: 2 cylinders for the crane and outriggers. I wanted the sides to be studded and smooth as I liked the tile look. Its quite cramped in the middle but everything works out. Right now, I've hit a road block for the last several weeks. i simply don't know how to design a proper cab or crane for that matter. As of now I've reverse engineered Efferman's knuckleboom crane(http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=477568) in order to gain some inspiration. As always any feedback or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks Rishab

42056 - Porsche Speculation
Rishab N replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow. This model is the supercar Technic has been waiting for IMO. The looks alone make it a must buy for me. I also like the box hopefully they keep that minus the camo. The different box also makes me wonder whether this will be a S@H exclusive or something. Maybe there will be a Porsche dealership edition similar to how the 8461 F1 had a dealership edition -

Its not quite the 8455 in terms of pneumatics, but I think this model is very well done. It looks good IMO and the price is good too -

Eh. My hopes for a BWE were high, but I can't justify spending at least 300 dollars for this. Yes its big and will dwarf most if not all models, but that seems to be its only selling point. I'm not a fan of the color scheme and for a toy its function speed is extremely slow. Yes its realistic, but as a toy functions should be a little faster and smoother IMO. A good parts pack full of 5x7 frames but again too expensive. I commend TLG for making such a large model for Technic as it shows they are taking Technic even more seriously, but I think I'm going to pass on this. Edit did not see the post stating its 179.99. This many parts for that price is a fantastic deal. -
42054 - Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC
Rishab N replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like this set. Its massive and looks good. The new tires show that TLG is listening to AFOLs and the different steering modes is fantastic. I would have liked to see a fake engine and AWD over a motor and battery box, but that's not a big deal. The crane may be a little half baked along with a couple tiny things on the model, but I'm sure there will be plenty of modifications and attachments on the forum. Are the rims the same as the 42030 or are they new too? Also I wonder if it uses the portal hubs or the 42000 hubs -
This is extremely impressive. Nice work

General Part Discussion
Rishab N replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Just wondering how much difference there is between part 32005a http://rebrickable.com/parts/32005a and part 32005b http://rebrickable.com/parts/32005b. I know that one has stoppers, but can they be substituted for each other?- 5,466 replies

Your Best Technic Bargains
Rishab N replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If anyone is interested I found a NIB 8868 for $195 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Technic-8868-Air-Claw-Rig-Pneumatic-Electric-Truck-New-in-box-/351628457159?hash=item51deb074c7:g:HzAAAOSwZG9WlaU I'm not interested as I want some of the newer flagships, but not a bad price compared to Bricklink -
I was hoping for an updated Y Wing in the Force Awakens and was disappointed. Your rendition is everything I hoped for. Great work

Great work. I hope to do something similar to this with my Unimog as it is currently lying on my shelf with parts missing
