  1. Those tires look amazing. Looking forward to seeing MOCs with them. Also nice to get some red rims
  2. Great looking G. I agree with KamalMYafi, the front looks great
  3. Great looking car. I like the color scheme
  4. Fantastic work! This is my favorite Lego Le Mans car
  5. Fantastic MOC! Shame the panels aren't available in the proper colors
  6. Fantastic car. I'm amazed how compact it is, yet has so many functions
  7. Great work as always Sheepo. Instantly recognizable
  8. Fantastic model Lipko. Looks great and has a lot of functions
  9. I agree with Busterhaus. I appreciate that Richard gave the clone brand a shot as I have always been curious. However to the OP, you say buying parts was too expensive, but you can find the wheels here http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=mountainbricks&itemID=92987159#/shop?o={"invID":"92987159"} Which totals too 40 euros. Shipping could be a few dollars more than the 46 euro price of the fake set, but not too much right? Just my 2 cents
  10. Double post, but here are my Arocs modifications I lowered the truck by a stud and I think it looks a lot better. It loses some up and down travel, but side to side still works fine. I also lowered the second mudguard by a stud as that is more accurate to the real life truck; however, it results in the wheel colliding with the mudguard when the suspension is compressed, and the wheels are at their max angle. Added a few cosmetic modifications too. The crane looks very out of scale, so I may attempt to change that next. I also changed out the suspension for the front axle as it was too hard. Putting one soft spring(From the 8448) resulted in the front sagging a little, so I doubled the springs and it works perfectly
  11. I finished building the Arocs a few weeks ago, and I have to say it is probably one of my favorites, if not my favorite set. I started modding it, and added a few cosmetic things and changed out the front shocks, but the next thing I wanted to do was lower the truck by one stud. IMO the truck looks a bit tall compared to the real thing (Photo credit to JIm, from his review) So, I lowered the suspension on all the axles by one stud. This required some work, but I got it to work on the rear axles; however, I am currently struggling with the front axle. The problem is the steering linkage. In the original front axle the linkage is 2 studs high. Here's a picture for reference However, once I lowered the truck, the linkage collided with the chassis giving almost no suspension travel. I tried a few ideas for something one stud tall, but none of them were stable The problem is the blue friction pin moves the linkage around too much, and there is a steering arm that attaches to the ball pin in the center. Here's a picture of the chassis without the axle So, I need a rigid linkage that would only be one stud tall. Any thoughts?
  12. Glancing at average selling prices, wow this set has held its value really well. IMO I was never a fan of it. I don't personally own the set, so I can't speak for it, but there are a few short reviews here http://brickset.com/sets/8416-1/Fork-Lift
  13. I like the new interface. Much more user friendly IMO
  14. I saw this tribute on YouTube a while back and it looks fantastic. Great job
  15. Looking good so far! However, wouldn't an Unimog U400 have an inline 4 engine?
  16. I've been following this project, and it turned out great. I personally like it with the fixed roof
  17. Amazing C model! Looks really good
  18. I think the HOG gear would need a little more bracing than that. Aside from that it looks good. On another note, I have to say that the small modifications have made this model seem desirable again
  19. Big bump but still looking for an 8070 again with no regards towards stickers, instructions, or box. If anyone has anything please post or PM me Thanks
  20. What the hell?! Why would they do that? May be a bad set, but definitely doesn't deserve that.
  21. Looks fantastic. Imagine if 8070 was originally like this. On a side note it seems like prices for this model have slowly increased.
  22. JANGBRICKS has a video up for the Porsche Pretty favorable review and his model seems to work perfectly. However, he does mention that one has to be carefully check each gear when assembling to make sure its not slightly off or has too much friction
  23. Uwe also designed the legendary 8258 crane truck.
