  1. is that a foot pedal i've spotted? could you post some pictures of the build process and the chassis. or am I asking too much. H
  2. That's a nice moc, man. I would love to see it lift another technic vehicle. H
  3. Nice model. I've used LDD in the past and found it a bit frustrating. I use pen and paper sometimes when it comes to working things out, or just get on and build with the parts. H
  4. I like your modifications, particularly your 3rd axle. I would have tried a rear steering axle instead of extending the crane. The problem with the crane is it is now too long (in my opinion) you can keep it shorter and show it lifting a decent amount of lego beams etc. Or you could have used pneumatics for the crane. I saw a lorry recently with a rear steering axle and I think they are becoming more common. I don't have 8258, wish I did. H
  5. I like that. I bet it's fast. H Just watched the video. It needs a nice polished school corridor. H
  6. I actually like the look of the prowler. I'm yet to see one in the flesh though. It would be an interesting one to do. H
  7. Brilliant! More images please. That's a nice compact little model. Keep it up. H
  8. Beautiful truck and trailer. I don't think you could better it. That's a model team set if ever I saw one. H
  9. I've not kept up with this one. Where is the Mk 2? I will look back through the posts. H Brilliant models. I love the four door version with the chunky tyres. I can see what the excitement is about. Please post pictures of your builds and inform us all of any new ideas etc. H
  10. Yes. I wish I had one to open. We can but dream. H
  11. Welcome to the forums. Why not post some images. You can take images off the LDD. H
  12. I don't see how anyone could buy the set and not open it as soon as you got it home. To those who did not open it because of work or some other distraction, open it at Christmas and enjoy. H
  13. Not available on the UK shop. I will keep watching. H
  14. I think 8258 and 8043 played a part as I always looked at lego images. I would still love to get my hands on 8258, I have the building instructions so hopefully I will have enough of the right parts to build it soon. It is a good looking set. H
  15. That is a work of art. I would happily buy such a model for display and I'm sure the star wars fans here would also. A great build. PS: I'm usually in the technic forum H
  16. That's interesting. A four seater built with your style of using bright wheel hubs as lights. Nice detail and you can put a figure in it. I love it. H
  17. That looks good. How does it drive? I have some of those tracks and they don't grip well, depends on the surface as they are not rubber. But you can get some rubber inserts parts. I think they are used in mindstorms. H
  18. Some subtle changes. How does the roof fold up? It so needs that battery box covering up, maybe a red panel or do some more work on the rear. What's frustrating me at the moment is that Argos are showing 8070 for £47 but it's obvious to me its discontinued so can't be bought. H
  19. Those bespoke pneumatics are exactly what I mean. Surely they could do them as a one off in a set and see the response. We know about the limitations of the pneumatics and so we will use our creativity, as we always do, to make them work in the way we want. Below is the vehicle I saw in the week that gave me the idea for the larger pneumatics (see outriggers). H
  20. That's a nice looking course. Get cracking with it and show us a video. Don't forget the pit of bricks, it should be very deep upto the top of the wheels. H
  21. Great! The rear end is looking good with the lights and exhaust, the whole car looks great. I would have left the front motor more exposed. H
  22. No, Alasdair, I don't think I have. Please post a link or image. Thanks H
  23. To me a pneumatic cylinder looks the part and have a bit more strength to them. I love the build of them and they feel solid. The linear actuators feel a bit flimsy. I've had pneumatics now for about twenty years and always look to use them first, they are easier to mount and connect. I saw a vehicle this morning which I plan to build soon, it was that which led to this post. A larger pneumatic cylinder would be the ideal part for the function I have in mind. If they could incorporate one into a new set I would be at the front of the queue. H
  24. Hi People, What are the chances of Lego creating some larger pneumatics. I could easily do with some double in size (length) for making outriggers etc. what do we think? PS: Apologies if it's been talked about before. H
