  1. It looks really good! Only complaint I have is the two large LAs for tilting the lifting assembly.. they look way way too big compared to the picture of the real truck in your first post.. Might look better with small LAs?
  2. Wow! That is surely a thing of beauty! I especially like the seats and headlights Looking forward to seeing more pics!
  3. It's only 2 p.m. here in Norway, so it's almost about time to get the drink on! Best---MOC---ever? Room some for improvement though. Looking forward to the v 2.0
  4. Great list, a lot of really nice models there! I could take it seriously even without his MOCs, but you sound like you couldn't-- Luckily for you his VW T1 and Beetle are indeed included on the list!
  5. Is it just me, or are your models just getting bigger and bigger? Looks great! And the torsion bar offset is still there today on modern tanks and IFVs using that setup. Good eye for detail!
  6. It's a very interesting linkage you made to raise and lower the ripper, but is it just me, or does it not "push" the ripper into the ground?
  7. Is it still built only from the parts included in the set? It looks better than the official B-model's attachment IMO!
  8. Hi amminich! Like I have mentioned earlier( possibly in another topic), the truck in the video turned out to have a little too much ground clearance to effectively utilize the hook lift mechanism. Yes, I still have the actual bed and the actual truck built, vut not combined. If you look at the post just before yours (post #204) you will se I linked to an LDD file of the mechanism, that should let you create it for yourself
  9. That looks pretty awesome, do you have the possibility of shooting a video of it in the snow?
  10. Merry Christmas, and great model! Made me smile!
  11. It probably (most likely) will have the same tires as 42009, but that doesn't mean it will be in that scale.. in fact, those tires on a truck like this, will more likely be of a somewhat comparable scale to the 42030. If the set numbers and -names are now considered as confirmed information, I hope the truck will indeed be a four-axle one, hopefully with some interesting stuff on the back. I highly doubt it will be an RC model, and I also doubt it will feature suspension. But looking at the sets from the past couple of years, I think it will ship with PF, and I think it will feature four powered functions, selectable via a gear box (similar to 8258). On a side note; I really don't like the front of the new Arocs trucks, I much more like the Actros style (is that an older model pehaps?). As for the fire plane, I hope it will be somewhat similar to the Grumman Albatross, or something like that Love that plane, would like to buy one and travel the world with it
  12. Wow! This is similar in scale and theme to what I'm currently building and wondering whether to enter into the competition, albeit mine is half a century newer:-) fitting all the mechanical stuff inside is a challenge (for me at least), so is my studded parts collection, so for now it's built in black with mostly pieces from the nineties!:-P Looking forward to seeing this project evolve!
  13. I'm hoping it concludes to Mercedes-AMG (GT), not Mercedes-Benz
  14. Looking forward to seeing progress! And your conclusion for the cat being more PF and less mindstorms holds true for my cat as well!
  15. I'm really sorry about the delay, but here is the LDD file at least, you should be easily able to recreate it from that, combined with the video
  16. Not necessarily, I actually meant you can use two or more motors on one output if you so desire, but you are limited to the four outputs of one SBrick. Seeing as it is an "SBrick contest", this will help showcase the possibilities of the SBrick (not having first hand experience, I have no idea how it performs with more than one motor attached to a single output). In effect you will still be limited to one function per output, as it's rather difficult to power two different functions with the same output EDIT: So in my oppinion, if someone wants to power 10 motors from one output, please go ahead.. I don't think the maximum number of motors will be the deciding factor on who wins, rather the opposite
  17. I think the easiest way to put it is "you must use four (no more, no less) of the outputs on the SBrick(s), regardless of the amount of motors." There really is no room for misinterpretation there.
  18. Oooh, this is more like it! Hope to see a lot of models in which the SBrick is not simply a replacement for the IR Receivers, but rather a needed component in the build! For example a small model! EDIT: On a side note, I see a potential "flaw" in the SBrick's design: You cant use the lower outputs (lowest "stair step") on the brick to power two motors for each output without using an extension wire
  19. Indeed, I really like the gearbox setup in your new chassis Paul
  20. Very nice indeed! Got to love the crank start!
  21. Looks sweet, the yellow wheels go well with the rest of the body! Looking forward to the video!
  22. I can see the picture when I click it, glad to see it's coming along! How do you like the build so far? And have you noticed anything off in the instructions? It's a bit difficult to see as the picture is very low res, but are you using soft (grey) shocks in the front? They should be hard (yellow) as the soft ones are ...well... too soft Replacing them should make it better
