Ah, I was wondering if someone would bring that up! Yes, that and one other captured ship has been changed, because of technical details (you see, Ska had the convoy forms, so he knew that La Salamandra and the other one were available to be captured - but the submitting forms for those were lost, so he just put the names in as if they were NPC, and didn't roll at all for them to escape or suchlike: at least, I'm supposing he did that from what information I've gone through. At any rate, those ships themselves were not actually rolled the first time, so they could not be legitimately captured). Yes, unfortunately it does make the difference that you'll have to MOC the ship first, but in order to calculate all the ships correctly it was essentially necessary to change that. But on the other hand, the more ships that you build the better - looking forward to it!

Great work Kai, your rock-work and jungle is excellent, and I really like how your outpost turned out, especially after the change on the battlements! Awesome work with the minifig posing, story, and photography as well - and I'm definitely looking forward to watching the story-line progress! On a different note, E.T. Wilkinson de Chauncourtois has been heard to declare that this was quite a puzzler, and as for Captain Whiffo, he, why he - well, he doesn't know what to say about the whole matter, except that he feels like throwing a nightcap at somebody too

Thanks all! Thank you, capturing the jungle feel was definitely what we were going for, and was quite a lot of fun! Glad you like the minifigure posing as well! You missed one I. And you'll surely be in big trouble with him for that oversight when he's ruling from Granoleon! Thanks a lot blackdeathgr! Thanks, Keymonus! This is one of my first tries at two-toned rock-work, and certainly my best! As to the action itself, it was perpetrated solely by the King (and was an assault against a friendly nation, although good old King Fernando definitely thinks that it was highly provoked ) - but as to what the rest of Eslandola thinks about it... that's another matter! Thanks Capt Wolf! This is one of Kai and my first goes at a full-blown jungle, and we're really happy with how it turned out! And that was the main reason they carried along a cannon at all - I just really wanted to use the ruff that way! Ha, ha, thanks Kai! The fort's half-angle was one of my favorite things about this half of the build as well! Who knows?! We shall see! Thanks, BrickCurve! Huge rock faces are quite nice to build! Some say it was actually all the monkey's plan... (I was wondering if somebody - besides Captain B, of course! - was going to catch that!) Thanks, and yes, no Corries were harmed it the production of these MOCs

Kings Port Advertiser and Ship List New Terra’s most reliable source for shipping news. October 616. VOL 1 ISSUE 6 Editor’s Column. Due to heavy winds and some daring and vicious pirates – not to mention the huge conflagration that consumed our very own offices in King’s Port – the past few months have seen a great many ships about which very little has been found out. Not that that, in this age of sail, is all that uncommon – but thankfully for everyone, that is about to change! The King’s Port Advertiser is back up and running, and the ships have begun to sail in. These past few months we have seen an ever–increasing boldness on the part of the pirates – Harrison Torn, Bloody Bill, and Zublius Von Wreck have all been at it again, and our own victorious hero, L’Olius, has been reaping the spoils of battle once more! Mutinies and unrest have been on the rise, and unfortunately, despite the renewed activity of the Mardierians, a great deal of their attempts have been baffled, and some have even been taken by their prey – especially by those pesky Eslandolans! And speaking of Eslandolans – how will their new actions and those of their King affect the trade? How long will it be before King Fernando is marching on Granoleon? And will that stop other traders from visiting the Oleander ports in the meanwhile? Only time will tell! But to get on with what you all were waiting for so long! – Tips and News: Corrington Quick Wing Convoy takes the Doubloons! A hugely successful trading run was performed here by the Corries and their trading partners, and they carried a remarkable amount of gold in with them to Nova Terelli! How long will it be before the pirates and privateers open their eyes to the prizes sailing this route? Sea Sparrow fires on its own ships! What is going on with this captain?! The dead of night seems to have confused the bearings of the Sea Sparrow’s captain, and under an impression that he was under attack they began to fire on the very ships they were escorting! Thankfully the mistake was caught before too much damage was done – but we’ll only have to see if this captain can keep his command and position for very long! Vessel waiting to be salvaged near Nelissa! While the huge Oleander fleet mostly escaped notice, and sailed calmly into Terelli with only a couple of casualties caused by the infamous pirate, Harrison Torn, they left one of their number, the Taurus, stranded near the large Eslandolan island waiting for some adventuresome bounty hunter to go and rescue what remains! A huge treasure found by the Pearl Diving Canoe! This time these small bounty seekers have struck it rich, returning to port with a huge 445 DBs! Will this attract other bounty seekers to the area? Daring solo trade runs yielding great results! In an audacious trade run from Belson to Quinnsville, the Fingernail found some good success, and Neptune’s Rogue found traders dying for their goods at both Berelli and Bastion! Will this bring a new influx of to these under–visited ports? Nightcaps for King Fernando! Going through nightcaps as fast as he does, it’s no wonder King Fernando Augusto VIII is willing to offer a good price for any more that he can get a hold of! However, he has suggested that if anyone really wants to get them to him they had better deliver them in Granoleon instead of at Terelli! This month we once more have so many tales of naval glory to tell that we will not be able to tell them all. But here goes for the best of them: Pirates reap a neat profit: The large open sea between Nova Terelli and Granoleon seems to have been found by the pirates as a great place for an ambushment, and they certainly took it out on the Eslandolan Double Duty convoy sailing through there! The Carno and Garvey privateers, the Spar Slicer and Holyar Stern destroyed and captured two Eslandolan escorts, and another was sailed off with by Bloody Bill. The rest of the escorts made a brave stand, though, and captured and sunk a few other attackers. Battle between the Sea Rats and L’Olius! In an epic sea fight, our very own heroic privateer sunk the large Sea Rat Fortune’s Miskeeper in the famous Crooked Sparrow, but the Puny Sparrow did not get off as well, and was captured by the pirates. Could this be the beginning of a feud between the two?! The Mad Marauding Maudi are brought to justice by the sea purging Justicia! We at the King’s Port Advertiser look forward with suspense to their upcoming trial in Corrington! Battle with Mardier! The Navigator and Pride of Poseidon, sailing in the WOP Oleon convoy, took two Mardierian privateers after a short and bloody boarding fight near the Terraversan shores. After seeing this, the rest of the attacking Mardierians fled. We think they were probably really Garveys', as otherwise they assuredly would not have demonstrated such cowardly behaviour! Pirate Graveyard! The Eslandolan Dragon’s Teeth convoy veritably did show some dragon teeth to the pirates in this run! Sinking two pirates, and capturing three more, we have begun to question whether the purpose of this heavily escorted convoy was not simply to act as a pirate trap after all? At any rate, the pirate lords will surely be wary of attacking it again in the future! The Empire of Eslandola: Sign-up and Discussion

And my section of the collab! And by declaration of King Fernando Augusto VIII: All royal troops and escorts are to be immediately withdrawn from all colonies and settlements in the New World, and sent to Terelli in preparation for his assault on Granoleon in support of his rightful throne!- 780 replies

It was a bright and calm morning, not a breathe of wind stirring through the dense jungle undergrowth, and the Oleonese Tom on the fort above yawned and smiled down upon all creation. He just so happened to love mornings like this, when nothing but the cawing of a few birds and the hooting of monkeys could disturb his thoughts... or rather, might have disturbed his thoughts, if he had had any. Suddenly, just in the midst of his make-believe reverie, and tremendous roar threw all the previous calm out of the window, and a score of Eslandolan soldiers burst out of the undergrowth beneath, firing as they came. All was instantly confusion on the tower. Dick dropped his bottle, Tom waved his rapier and gazed helplessly down below, Johnny jumped befuddled from the map he was studying and the treasure he was dreaming of, Harry grabbed up his rifle and almost tripped over Dick's bottle, and the commander roared orders which no one was listening to so very energetically that he almost toppled over the battlements. * * * Grinning like as many Cheshire cats, the Eslandolans poured out of the undergrowth and down the path. Captain Argentum smiled down at the Oleanders' prospects as his band crashed on toward the small outpost beneath, and from the jungle on the other side, the cannons they had dragged along with them belched out fire and smoke towards the fainting soldiers above. * * * Long before Tom, Dick, or Harry could recover their breath, and before the commander had any notion of what was going on, the Eslandolans were dashing into the fort itself, chasing poor Jack, who had been enjoying the morning just outside of the fort. At this fresh turn of events, Tom and Harry hopelessly threw up their hands, Dick dropped on the floor in a dead faint, and Johnny jumped even higher then before. * * * Out they marched, still entirely bewildered, down the path, as the Eslandolans, still shouting "Contra Oleon, contra Oleon!" planted their flags on the towers above. * * * Back in Terelli, King Fernando Augusto VIII laughed and jumped and tossed his nightcap across the room in glee. They had taken the Oleanders so entirely by surprise that no resistance at all was made, and it would be no time whatever before he marched with his victorious armies through the streets of Granoleon. Wouldn't those pesky Oleanders see! A couple of overviews of my section: And a few more closeups: And together with Kai's section: And now, what will the rest of Eslandola think of this piece of action on the part of the King? Was the High Council aware of his intentions? If not, will they tamely submit? And how about the average Eslandian citizen - not to mention the various Mayors, Governors, Trade Company leaders, and everyone else holding important positions?Big things are brewing for Eslandola and the world! A quick collab between Kai and me to finally get this story-line rolling! It was a lot of fun to work with the jungle vegetation (except when it kept falling over during photography, no thanks to the chair...) and the fort (which is my first attempt at on of those famous dark red and white fortresses), and we were really happy with how it turned out, especially for the four day build it was. Thanks for viewing, comment and constructive criticism are always welcome!

Ha, ha, ha, good timing with this build, Bregir - except that you may be just a little too soon! () The tiled street and recessed arches look great here, and combined with the other architectural details, give it a very palatial look! Neat interior as well, and the sewer is a great addition... at least if you were planning on having the huge block of grey down there anyways! My only nitpicks would be that I don't really think the lime green and dark red look very good together on the same building - and I rather wish you had tiled or otherwise finished off the top, as the studs just look out of place up there! Quite a nice build overall, though - keep it up!
-
Very nice ship, LegoStone, the colors are quite neat, and the net at the front is a great touch as well! I do think the lines of the Esmeralda are a bit more flowing and better, but this is certainly one of your best goes at rigging and sails yet - it looks quite taunt, and there isn't hardly any string sticking out at the ends Great job, keep it up!
-
Excellent little build, Capt. Wolf, and it's great to see the operation kicking off! The yellow and green are a great play on Eslandola's colors, and the furniture and story are very nice as well! One of my favorite details is definitely the chrome sword above the bookshelf though!
-
It may need to be delayed a bit more, to give people a little bit of time after the last MRCA results are released. Speaking of which... Some news has started to float in about the missing ships... rumors have it that a small vessel was last seen sailing straight for a deadly sandbank...

AoM: Belltower Outpost, Tower Phase I
Garmadon replied to Legofin2012's topic in Guilds of Historica
Really nice build, Legofin, the colors are spot-on and capture the Mitgardian look perfectly, and the stone-work and roofs are excellent as well! Looking forward to more of your builds! -
Very nice little build, SK, the platform and bracing is excellent, and the hay bails and targets are neat as well! The base and the way you put the beard above the quiver on the archer to the left so you could turn his head are actually my favorite details, though! Looking forward to Phase II! Base insinuation! Cold never bothers Mitgardians!

Very nice ship, Kai! The rigging and sails are a great improvement on your last ship ( except, of course, your jib and spanker are way too small... ), and the activity on deck is great as well! The cannons and lanterns are definitely some awesome details too!
-
Another huge and awesome ship, KB! The telescopes around the stern do indeed look great, and it looks like it can pack quite a punch as well! Excellent color-scheme and rigging too - and really, the only thing I have to nitpick is the front. The colors on the protruding part looks a little odd to my eyes for some reason - maybe if the upper row of gold studs were got rid of it would have less of a teeth sort of aspect? Other than that, epic job, though, and I still really love your pendants and brick-built flags!
-
Very funny (and very Sea Rat-ish) way to choose islands, Dr_Spock, and great build as well! The fish on the wall behind the bar and the torches are really nice details, and the yellow works neatly too!
