  1. Great story and very nice ship, Franco Clarke, the use of that dragon arch is perfect, and the rest of the ship is very nice as well, although the rounded front gives it a little bit of a chibi look! Not that that's a bad thing! Keep it up!
  2. Gorgeous first picture there, Bregir, love the rising sea and the on-coming storm it so clearly portrays! Excellent story as well, and I really hope we can get to see the final part some time! On the ship itself - in the first dynamic shot, as well as in the next closeup, it look absolutely splendid! - but I must say, that in the last two pics it stricks me as being a bit over-wide down near the waterline. You've definitely captured the cut down galleon look though and it fits your description perfectly - and your rigging, as always, is superb! Great job!
  3. Hilarious and awesome conclusion, Captain B, the only downside being that it is the close of your great story-line! It's been quite a pleasure to follow the good Colonel through on his great adventures! The bank looks awesome (though it looks a tad familiar, I actually can't say which set it was, and can see absolutely no problem with licencing it!), the counter and scribe's desk are great, as well as the chandelier above! And as Kai said, very impressive quantity of silver ingots!
  4. I have to agree with the others - great use of the rock wall pieces, Captain B, and very nice port scene here! The houses are quite nice, especially the awesome fort on one side and the last house on the other! And what will the King think when he hears all of this?!
  5. And, I've finally got around to posting Weyworth Keep! Check it out here!
  6. Yes, Kai and I thought you couldn't go wrong with a bunch of awesome Eslandolan soldiers - and since a non-Eslandolan had built them, no one could legitimately have problems with it either!
  7. One of Sir Uridius Dratiphe's Mitgardian seats, Weyworth Keep is situated at the head of one of the many sources of the great Adeler River, and, like Uridius' Keep, was built into the snow-clad mountain itself! Within the huge wooden doors, standing to protect the Keep from any assault, life goes on as usual - one of the younger castle-dwellers feeds the horses in the stables, and the others go on with their normal activity as well. A young fisherman looks for a catch out by the waterfall to help out with their suppers... And a couple of forestmen sneak around the corner of the tower (just because there's always someone or another who likes sneaking around, you know! ) Dressed in the colours of Weyworth Keep, the guards keep a sharp lookout for any stray Algus, or any visitors coming to see Sir Uridius. There is more to Weyworth Keep, though, than meets the eye! I had a lot of fun building the snow-covered mountain with a large removable section behind the castle to give access to the full interior behind: A few Interior Shots: Sir Uridius Dratiphe himself, who has been staying at Weyworth for some time recently: And a squire wanders about leisurely above: While the castle smith works away trying to get a straight sword out of this piece of iron! Poor guy... Down the other corridor: And a couple more pictures of the interior: A last overview: My largest, and quite possibly my favorite, build yet, this took about two months to completely build, but it was destroyed remarkably shortly after photography (and about 24 hours later no two pieces of the build were still attached, except Sir Uridius himself) for all that! If the peacefulness of it isn't enough for you, there are some pictures of it under siege for the Colossal Battle Contest (but most certainly not built for GoH!) on my photostream. Glad to finally be posting something here again, and I'm very happy to finally have a proper castle in Mitgardia as well! Thanks a lot for viewing, C&C are most certainly welcome!
  8. Beautiful micro, Puvel, the colors pop perfectly, and the houses, rock-work and terrain, ships, and water look superb! Brilliant photography as well, the light bouncing off the surface of the water makes it look like a render (a great thing, by the way!)
  9. Excellent rendition of Gideon's palace build, and very nice carriage as well, KB, but the story is really what grabs the attention here! Can't wait to see what is going on!
  10. Neat night effect, Bregir, and very nice scene with a lot of worried-looking people! The tiled ground works great, and I'm looking forward to seeing what this all comes to!
  11. Beautiful build, KB, that tremendous galleon is really a sight to behold! The rigging and underwater section are great as well, and the story is quite a read! And did I mention that it is awesome how you used the micro versions from you Category A entry here?
  12. Very neat and trim little craft, Sebeus, the brick-built hull is quite nice, and the rigging is excellent as well! Great job, especially for such a quick build!
  13. I had thought better of you guys... In all seriousness, though, another excellent story and a couple of beautiful ships, Ayrlego, and great continuation of the collab! While a tad block-y (particularly in the front - I personally think the stern is perfectly fine! ) the Eslandolan galleon is very nice overall, the balcony on the stern is superb, and the tumble-home and ornate color-scheme are excellent as well! I only rather wish that the bowsprit was smoother and the lower sails were set - I know that they tend to make it difficult to photograph, but I rather prefer it for all that! The dark green ship, though! The angled sides look superb, and the colors and rig are great too! My only nitpick would be that the deck would probably be better either tiled or SNOTted, but that does complicate things a lot for minifig posing! Oh, and those crews are awesome (especially the poor Eslandolan ones! At least they put up a good fight! )!
  14. Very nice micro-ships, Faladrin, I really like seeing some micros in this scale (and the fact is, I actually didn't realize that they were on rowboat hulls until the fourth picture or so! ) Clever way to get the firing cannons (I especially like how you did it on the first, light green, ship), and the pirate looks quite nice as well! Neat job!
  15. Very nice ship, Duke, the sail-plan and rigging look great (except that I might have put the gaff above the lower fighting top on the mizzen, and that I think that having a couple of staysails and the spanker set would give it a more full feel, but those are some pretty small details), and the color-scheme and fore and aft castles are very neat as well! Keep it up!
  16. I was wondering if we might not see a few ships flying fake colors with this challenge! Great ship, Maxim, and as much as I hate to say it ( ), the color-scheme is really cool! The flag usage and stern are superb as well, and overall a very good entry!
  17. Nice build, Faladrin, the exterior and boy bringing in the pig looks good, but the interior definitely steals the cake meat! The checkered and bloody floor is great, and the stands and minifigs are excellent too! Great job here!
  18. Great prospecting build Kai, the dark tan and burnt orange on the terrain are excellent, and I really like all the tools scattered about and the minifig posing as well! Judging from the round tiles, there is much more iron/silver/rock there than gold however! Oh, and I think a different color background would probably look better,
  19. I actually did it entirely by hand (without any tables) this time, but I'm sure it would go much faster with some, and that's almost certainly how Ska does it! Glad you like the plain text above the previous way, though - I tend to prefer it as well! As to previous questions as to when the results will be added to the accounts - I'll check with Phred and the automation team to see how much needs to be done for that, but hopefully it'll all be worked out fairly soon!
  20. Just have to love this build, the idea is ingenious, and the execution superb as well! The palisade/flower bed walls, outpost tower, shack, and moat are excellent, and the crops and animals are fantastic as well! ...And the cannons just really fit somehow! Great work here!
  21. Very nice scene, Faladrin, the different colors and kinds of trunks look great, and the carriage and minifig activity is great as well! The guy sawing and the other guy burning wood are some of my favorite details - and, of course, it's great to see an apple as well!
  22. Good point, and I hadn't thought of that - but after all, you know, all those with missing ships who captured some will only have the 9 days as well! However, a good micro-scale build has always been a way to get a ship, provided it is approved by the licencing court
  23. Very nice response build, Capt Wolf, and an impressive show of force in Weelond! The angled walls of the fort, and the plates crossing the flagpole for some reason look great as well! Great job!
  24. Whoa, very cool and very impressive looking cannon there, TitusV, it looks like our claims are going to be pretty heavily protected! Neat irregular base and little covering as well!
  25. Very nice little build, Faladrin, the palm leaves on the shack look neat, and the hanging fish and shark are great too! I really like that native boat and the walkway/pier as well, and great to see that we're getting along well and trading with the natives already!
