  1. I think those are the standard 2L red axles, only the light fools our eyes. I wonder what for the chain links (on the top around the gears) used in the A-model... maybe a simulated supercharger? Really hope that the blue is the medium blue, to be able combine with existing parts.
  2. While I am not a big friend of such body constructions (too disintegrated for my eyes), I understand the idea behind, and at the end You captured the bodywork really well. Like the usage of the U-joints! Technically... no words needed (I wish I could create such solutions...). I hope, we can see that gearbox soon in details.
  3. Uuuuuhhhhhh... because: How many small panels? How many pieces? Spaceship? Technic? Yes, please, anytime!
  4. I just join to the grateful crowd to say thank you to Jim and Sariel (and Jangbricks and BrickBuilder) for the great effort on making the reviews in the past and the future. I really enjoy to read / watch them time to time. I have the most interest for 42050, how the wheelie function is integrated. I am hoping for a surprising fun mechanism (or playing with the center of the gravity), and not just a boring elevator beam with an extra wheel. Oh, and the B-models!
  5. Thanks for sharing the WIP pictures - somehow I missed this topic yet... Interesting ideas, nice part useage, I do love the panel work on the door! Whatewer how long this will take, I am pretty sure we all will be pleased.
  6. Hi, this is just a weekend fun build, I wanted to give a try to build something with pull-back motors and practice some offset techniques, but in larger scale. So don't expect any serious... Hybrid is because: pull-back + working fake engine, let's say fuel cell motor with elecric drive. No steering - don't needed here. Lot of suspension! As assumed, it is quite slow, but weak! - just like the most concept cars, so I think it brings, what it should. Maybe with 4 pull-backs...
  7. Sorry for bumping this, I have added the mod pictures by Madoca to the instruction, can be found here. Also shot couple pictures, just for fun...
  8. Really good! Love the shape, You captured really well. The details are also very well done. Could we get more technical bits (chassis, driving chain, suspension), please ?
  9. +1 to all comment Fantastic, how you replicated the real mechanism!
  10. As the A/B contest sounds like a long-term one, is it planed to start smaller contest paralel (2-3 mounth long)? I just ask this, because I might participate in a smaller challange...
  11. Welcome. Still your mod is not for fuility, it is more suitable now for rough terrain.
  12. Maybe the instructions are not very clear, I see quite lot people having this issue. The 7L liftarm actually should be sunken 1 stud deep into the "foot". I built mine this way, and have neither clearance, nor stability problem. The lowering mechanism works also as it should, without falling apart. Check here, count the holes: http://cache.lego.co...g?l.r2=23574082 and http://www.techlug.f...P/42043/118.jpg
  13. Actually I didn't expected that much after the very first version, but whooohoo! The functions and the rear view in this scale are fantastic, just some detailing with lights, and done. To be a bit on the constructive negative side: I also would like to see a nicer front (maybe very small panels, angled somehow), and I am also not sure about the rim covers - but they give definitely a nice Lambo Countach effect, maybe just a simple color change (to LBG)... but this is only me... never mind!
  14. I would like to add also an idea into the hut: Pull-back motor(s)! Category 1: vehicles Category 2: alternative functional application - the more unusual/crazy the better I believe this could be a really innovative and fun contest.
  15. Hi, I follow your work for a while, I really like them, this is also not an exception. I love the design, it is so cute and mean in the same time, the color combination is also a hit. Not to mention that hood solution. Driving performance is really good, and I am really surprised that You could integrate Nyan cat too (sound). I can't get out an idea from my head... This + 2 pull back motors (4WD if possible) = the ultimate jump-fun machine in the living room.
  16. Great to see, that You found a way to pleasure all of us.
  17. This is a model, You can be proud of. Nice bionicle part usage, Model Team spirit is not dead!
  18. Hello Madoca, thanks for posting, it is really an obvious twist (literally), this happens, if one sticks at a certain solution... not coming out of that perspective. I just overlooked this, my guess is: the silicone spray what I used to lubricate kept this slight friction hidden. Recommended modification.
  19. Would be simple KO...
  20. Wow! Now this is a nice surprise and great honour, I also wanted to see these 2 models next to each other! Please feel free to share the modifications, observations in a pro's point of view! (Everything and everyone can / should be improved.) Does the sbrick add something to the performance? Best regards: agrof
  21. The model, the presentation, the instruction... all are superB! Hat off, fantastic work, belongs to HoF. What is your studio set-up (and software)?
  22. Ups, I just noticed, that the length indicator numbers in the inventory went white during the editing... I replaced the instruction, please check if your copy is correct! Sorry for the inconvenience!
