  1. 11:10 10:6 14:4 16:3 15:2 23:1 Good luck!
  2. If I would have 2 spare one... Sill there is an option in gearing with the current setup, but the cardans are the weakest points (1 broken). No differential + hard surface + lot grip = no surprise. I added some reinforcement - not very elegant, but effective - to the rear suspension, now it seems surprisingly reliable, made some drop test also... passed.
  3. Edit: added some photos about the chassis.
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aCKHhWwdwA Do You hear gears clicking? Oh yes. This is the best I could do now, I will not make longer video, sorry. P.S.: Can somebody help in embed please? The code as described doesn't work for me. Thanks Jay Psi - see below!
  5. The XL motor is geared 1:1, the wheel diameter is ~94 mm. The theoretical max speed is 3,89 km/h (XL motor runs 220 rpm), under last I assume it should be around 3,2-3,5 km/h - slow walking speed. Not a good performance for a speed race car. This project was made as proof of a concept, but as mentioned, the rear suspension arms are still not stiff enough, maybe later I will think about on new set-up... this is maybe the 9th-10th version, I start to loose the interest as I have already plans for next MOC. The easiest and most expensive would be to use 2 RC motors, which I don't have, and it was also a point in this build to use Power Function stuff only. (Yes, I would happily see new type RC Motors for affordable price dear LEGO! ) The battery box doesn't influence the stability - thanks for the long and wide wheelbase, but it does help a lot for the suspension behaviour. I have tried several geometry, and finally found a not too stiff and not too soft setup, I wanted to replicate the resposiveness of the real ones. The tilt angle of the car is pretty good, maybe 45° or over, didnt measured. Video... I am not keen on low quality videos, so if I will do one, it will take loooong (must learn video editing), some guys here put high standards to follow - gladly.
  6. This is the most funny (cool) creation in this contest, although i think the transformation needs a bit development - f.e.: manual lever and simple mechanism to move, or does it have already? I can not spot really... Made me smile, great!
  7. The trike itself looks cool, maybe worth to develop it further outside of the contest.
  8. The dragster airplane is great, I like it!
  9. Thanks All! Edit: i added some more pics in the Bricksafe folder, linked in first post.
  10. Embedding was also not an option, that was the first i tried... whatever, Thanks guys, done!
  11. Hello! I would like to present my first MOC, which i was tempted to build since a while. I was always more a "fan" of Class 1 buggies ( https://en.wikipedia...i/SCORE_Class_1 ) over Baja trucks, and I also couldn't find any LEGO versions of them, so i decided to build... and failed, built again, and failed..., built again, and so on... The long travel independent suspension with driving was really a challange, finally I found a solution, which works... kinda. I reached my goal, to make this thing move, but I must admit, the driving performance is poor, as the suspension arms are still not rigid enough, so the rear wheels start to lean. It moves, but not what i would call: clear run. Still, i thought, maybe it is worth to share, because the rest of the car is OK. I also would like to inspire others to build such MOCs, i would be happy to see more (and better performing) unlimited buggies! Building instruction (V3): here And now... the pictures (edit: no more video will be made, lack of patience and knowledge) - fixed: EDIT: as updated version is available, old pics and video removed. Pre version pics added. V0 - sketch model: V1 model with XL motors - not really good performance... V2 model with L-motors: Update: V3 is ready - see page 2. A clever patch by @Didumos69 for the rear swingarms, now they can not disconnect at all!
  12. Hi Chris, just contact LEGO customer service, explain what happened. I am pretty sure, this excuse will be honored with a spare part! Good luck!
  13. Hi, i am not sure, what rim You would like to use, but 2.2 is too big for 9398 wheels. Go for 1.9 size, it will be perfekt. I own such ones in 96 mm, and work good - look good, cheap. http://www.ebay.com/...=item19f843c9a3 There are 90 and 108 mm versions on the market too. http://www.ebay.de/i...=item3f38787dfc
  14. Here You are, i can only quote more experienced people: http://sariel.pl/2009/09/gears-tutorial/comment-page-1/ http://www.technicbricks.com/2014/01/lets-talk-about-gears.html Have fun at building!
  15. Hi, i would try to chane the gearing to worm gear to small gear to big gear. than the XL can run on full power, with more constant speed.
  16. Hi, i wouldn't consider model team products as without function, you can roll, twist, open parts, etc on them. I think, what could be called functionless technic: static sculptures made of technic parts. Here is an example for possible FLAGship model: This was a bit mean, but depending on complexity, i think a good sculpture could be worthy... still mostly for part bins. Here is another example for more complex one, ok a lot bionicle parts, but i used a lot (i guess at least 60%) technic parts. https://www.flickr.c...in/photostream/ You can say, "it has ball joints, so moving the arms, legs, head are also function." Trust me... if you are not dare to touch, it tilts and fall immadiately.
  17. Hi Madoca & All, thanks for sharing instructions for your Mocs! I fell in love with your No3. buggy, it was a real joy to build it, although i changed few things, as i don't have all the required parts, and adjusted for easier battery removal. Still, i think it turned out quite pretty, even if the seat wouldn't be too comfortable.
  18. Hi All, i faced recently this interesting C-model build by amaman, also with Building Instructions (see link below)! Reminds me of Datsun Zed, great remake, great photos too. I don't find him as member here, so i decided to share with the community. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/413392
  19. Ok, in the video, what Zblj linked here, looks much smoother. (Still, i could imagine a higher level presentation for 100-200 Euro technic sets, especially, that these are the first impressions for the public.)
  20. Hmmm, maybe just tired batteries, but i find the pneumatics very very slow... not really good playability, in my opinion. Off: Don't people really have sense for making videos (even nowadays 720p is basic), or were they asked to not to hold the camera accurate, and make visible the whole subject?
  21. Wow, this looks really professional and realistic! Excellent!
  22. Hello, sorry i don't make LDD models. This one is quite simple, could be replicated from the photos. Basically the moving sections are stretched for the size of the actuator. The panels and the support for the claw are just pinned. Hope this helps!
  23. Correct, right shoot. Merry Christmas for Everyone!
  24. I hope for something like this, in this color scheme, working suspension (?), no yellow, no red, no black again, please... A tipper truck would be also great, but maybe just too few functions are available for a flagship model.
  25. Hi All, i made some fine adjustements (you can not have enough panels!), i belive i will end up build the white black version, with RC functuions. Would be great fun... a drifting truck. Enjoy! LDD file: http://www.file-upload.net/download-10004359/8041-MOD-V2.zip.html
