  1. I bought this design and colour. Waiting for release... in the basket... build.
  2. Couple of (maybe) new pictures, they are big, so i just put the links here: http://www.leg-technic.hu/images/postgallery/lego-technic-42009_1360490962.jpg http://www.leg-technic.hu/images/postgallery/lego-technic-42009-mobile-crane-mk-ii_1360492729.JPG http://www.leg-technic.hu/images/postgallery/lego-technic-f1_1360492633.JPG http://www.leg-technic.hu/images/postgallery/lego-42008-service-truck_1360492506.JPG http://www.leg-technic.hu/images/postgallery/lego-42008-service-truck_1360492524.JPG source: http://www.leg-technic.hu/hirek_erdekessegek/33/amiert-erdemes-lesz-nyaron-is-a-lego-t-vasarolni-1-resz
  3. Hmmm... these are interesting comparsion pictures. We already noticed differences, but this is a very good example to see how much the turrets differ. Just check the back part - as argued there are missing panels, but i just realised first, that the booms (lifting arms) have also completely different built-up structure. I am really curious how the final design will look like. One is sure: if i buy one, there can be made a lot of improvement.
  4. Fantastic work Dokludi! Awesome reverse engineering talent, and lot of free time. I am just envy, no offense. For the german users, watch the video through: http://www.proxfree.com/
  5. 2 favorites: M-Longer's - Liebherr 944 tunneling excavator http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=446831 and ZED's Cat D9T http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=404694 Both are beautifully detailed, and fully working machines!
  6. @42009 I wouldn't be surprised, if they would use the next strategy: show up 2-3 versions, which basicly have the same functionality, but different outfit. Once to keep the hype - August is pretty far yet, second to collect impressions in the different fairs, forums to get a better/improved design. I know, they have not too much time left considered the design and BI finalisation - pre-production - distribution lifetime chain, but still. I would do. :) So read carefully this dear holy company employees: bring the one with the panels on the superstructure, with more realistic look, and the boom from the preliminary picture, AAAAND yellow rims! Please! Thank You for listening!
  7. +1 (or let it run under the name of somebody, who is legal, and can be trusted.) Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! p.s.: 8110 is too much for me, THIS would sit beside me...
  8. *oh2* Amazing! Modell team UCS is there.
  9. I think you are wrong, it is clearly to see, that 42009 has 2 LAs for the boom (or did you mean this for the 42008 as well?), and for the 42008: i am pretty sure it is just a "fault" of the presenter, as he left that strange shaped stabilizers activated while showing the boom function. Cheers!
  10. hmmmm, i also liked much more of the construction and the colour scheme of the preliminary one. I mean the boom. Now it is... just undone. Which is good by one hand -we have a lot possibilities for upgrading, but for the price this thing will have... @admins: i am not sure if direct linking of this picture is ok now, if not - please feel free to delete, thanks! The tow truck is cool, i like it a lot.
  11. Hi all, i am not a fan of pneumatics, i love the mechanical solutions, so i just can agree with the ones above: 8265 - Still in love with it 8069 - anyway i would add here the 8455 8053 and maybe not the greatest set, but i was really amazed of it: 9392 - simply because of the shaping, and all functions realized in a small compact set - this is Technic about.
  12. Here is my wishlist - of course all as flagship : No.1.- most wished - maybe with double tires (Claas Xerion 5000 cuold be a B-model of the skidder ) The grader and the container handler could be also combined as A and B modell...
  13. Hi, this is not a bulldozer, it is an agricultural machine - basicly a tractor with rubber track, for better weight distribution. The back thing is a plow: The front fork is mainly used to move straw bales, like this (ok, not to stack them, just the forwarding version was made for this model): Personally, i like this B model. Ciao!
  14. +1 absolutely! p.s.:I also didn't experience the problem with that pin, neither the one with the track.
  15. Welcome here! Couple of us use 100% silicone spray to grease the gears - shafts, i did as well but only for the gears. There is also one hint, take really care for the free movement of the gears - do not place them tightly - not even slightly tightly recommended here. In this amount of connections what the 8043 has, they can produce a lot of friction, which takes the fun away. As i bought a used one built-up for the parts, on the test i experienced ~50% less performance with the same battery pack. So it absolutely payed off to pay attention + use the spray. I spent maybe 2 hours more at assembly, but trust me, every single step of it really fun and lot of interesting details - solutions to discover! Take a coffee with you, and enjoy! agrof
  16. Thanks guys! One hint: if anyone would replicate the crane solution, i suggest to use the new type of linear actuator, i tried the older one as well, but it didn't worked that fine.
  17. For me personally one decides: if a custom part added, it should be part of the creation, must have the Lego feeling, that doesn't stick out. It works very well with Bricksonwheels's chrome parts, with the Brickforge Vespa, Brickarmy weapons, Ansmann tires on 9398, etc... Same for purist MOCs, if i find one beautiful, i will also spend minutes for enjoying just to looking at, and discover the details. But for me f.e.: an excavator loses it's lego magic, if it is made with pro modelling linear actuators - it is another hobby, where the RC hobby uses Lego parts. Still can be impressing, but not more. Or using home made low quality handpainted paper glued on minifigures, which just hurts my eyes. I appretiate the idea, but not the result. And yes, there are many, who can paint minifigs or create body and head decals in beautifully way, and make me think: i want one! Well, these don't help further in the discussion. I am really really not interested in competitions, so for me the rules don't count. I want to see good MOCs, and i respect if someone says it is not Lego, because it is not built in purist way. I still can have a smile in my soul.
  18. Hmmm... just a quick question: why are wheel, car, airplane, computer and so many things invented? Maybe because of limitation... the human body is limited in speed, in carrying capacity, in calculating. If you think a bit further, why the human beings began to grow plants and animals? Because of the limited available amount of food. I understand You think about using "alien" parts for making things (MOCs) better and better, this is good, and research, challange. We also get new parts from Lego year to year, they do the same. Also to invent new parts / constructions you need to reach out the comfort zone. We are on the same side in this issue. But actually ask "How can limitation increase creativity?" - it is not really deliberated question in my opinion. Maybe it is too philosophical. Peace.
  19. Hi All! And here are couple of pics about my modded excavator. Here i only reshaped, filled here and there, i made the main boom 2 studs longer, and a bit stiffer. The original cab looks so bulky, for me it was totally out of scale. I tried also to do the tracks more realistic, but failed. The mechanics... come on, it is already AMAZING! Hope You like it! And my two favorites, bit photoshopped: More pics HERE . agrof p.s.: modding is fun, but now time to step further for a serious moc... fingers crossed.
  20. Thanks! It was challenging to find a geometry where it stays compact, and works smooth. Maybe the only disadvantage, that i had to install a clutch for the upper LA to increase the torque, so the speed is reduced, but still enjoyable with good lifting capacity.
  21. Hi All! I have this beauty modified, mainly i filled the gaps, recoloured, outfit detail things. From technical point of view, i instantly added a second differential, and a re-tought crane, which has now improved movement range, looks more serious, and closes itself properly. All functions work as before, i only installed a swith in the top of the cab, now the playability is much much better (search for the black antenne on the top), since you can easily reach it, not like the battery box in the original design. I hope You enjoy it! More pictures HERE . agrof
  22. Hi! I don't think you need to worry much about this issue. Firt of all, the part are really strong, these are also examined in FEA. As i need a part from a built-up model, or i want to change in the deep structure, i often don't pick each part, but stress / bend the whole construction (1000+ pieces models), and sometimes i am also really impressed, that nothing broken. Due to the tolerances it will bend always a bit, but i hardly believe, that it will cause a long time effect. Maybe after couple of years... i never had a single model untouched that long. My suggestions: - remove the battery pack, if it is not needed, - build or use an unvisible support. (f.e.: 5x3 L beam, which can be folded down from the chassis, i checked, there is enough space to build it in, or use a small box). The outtriggers are also a good idea, but due to the clutch they will not help a lot - only if you remove the 1x1 gray "blocker" on both sides, and you fold the outtriggers manually till their limits. Don't be afraid, You will not force the drivechain, the clutch will slip only. I hope i could give you usefull hints. Bye!
  23. Hi! BI should represent B(uilding) I(nstruction). Anyway... i just bought a second 8043 (i still rework mine) to make this model... okay okay, i got it in the price of the electronics part, but still it was the main motivation. Thanks Jono!
