  1. Some new videos, found on Youtube: https://www.youtube....pholland/videos edit: worth to check the background for some new views of B-models...
  2. Hi All, i made a quick mod for the race truck in LDD (based on original model by Tore M), formed for my taste. I know, the rims dont exist in black, but but... Maybe worth to share, if somebody builds it, any picture is welcome here. The model is 99% ready. Enjoy! LDD file: http://www.file-uplo...41-mod.zip.html
  3. Very good, as for the appearance, as for the funktions! My personal opinion is, that it is really grown up the quality of the A model. Would like to build it...
  4. Good one! I especally like the seat soltion! Will steal it for my project...
  5. Wow, well deserved the positive feedback, here You get mine too!! Looking forward the instructions!
  6. Thank You Sariel for the update and for the effort of reviews in advance! Almost all B models look to keep up the level of the A models at first glance. I like them.
  7. I like that buggy Effe! I was playing around with the LDD model, and whispered some wishes for new colors... i made a red alternative too, maybe the owners got inspiration. Actually i am thinking about to add to my christmas list... (sorry if the pics are bit big, i don't find option to resize)
  8. I don't prefer pneumatics, but i must admit, i had smiling face while looking your photos, discovering the details. Very compact, all the functions are here, LIKE it.
  9. I made the pivot points as far from each other as possible, but in the regular way it is still not enough. Even if i put the differential 1-2 stud deeper. I ran out of ideas, i will build the static version, maybe later i will give another try for making it PF.
  10. Thank You guys for the hints, i will not give up yet.
  11. <p>Hi, thanks for the comments, i will check the Polaris solution. Daniel: yes, I tried those set-UPS too, the CV and U joints just don't offer enough movement, neither in angle, nor in slide. The one with sliding inside the wheel hub was a step forward, but still not enough. It works as it is, some silicon spray on the 6.5 DBG axle makes wonder. Still, it works against the suspension, so it isn't going to be the holy grail. Any further idea is welcome!
  12. Hi All, recently i decided to go for a RC Class 1 buggy, with looooong travel suspension, which is started very well, and than... a very well placed faceplant in the gorund of mechanics. Result some broken cardans, etc... After 5th or 6th rebuild of the drivetrain, i finally found one solution, which lasts at least for 1 meter. Another issue, that the solution works against the suspension. i added also some bars to make it more stable, it seems that the project will turn into a static display model, for pushing by hand it seems will be ok. I don't want to cover my feelings, it tastes bitter. Worst case scenario to build a solid axle, but than the point of the project is gone... Attached a picture, although the buggy itself lays in pieces... i rebuild it with new designs at least twice pro day. I decided to turn to the community for help, maybe some of You are also itnterested for technical challenges. Have You ever met, done such solution? https://www.flickr.com/photos/22510469@N06/5762688308/in/photostream/ I am a bit afraid, that Lego parts don't allow such design, since they can bend, twist due to the material and connections, especially with PF. Opinions? Thank You in advance! agrof
  13. Dokludi made his Version already. Check his Brickshelf Folder. @admins: strange, but i can not insert links...after the dialog pops-up, none of the function buttons are alive and react. Is it just for me?
  14. Exactly my feelings as well, beside, that the front part of the 42030 designwise completely sticks out - in a bad way, compared with the back of the machine. I remember the BANG effect as i saw the 8265, and another WOW during the building, everything was driven from the back, the clutch idea etc... I just don't see any interesting bits in this. It is... BIG, ok i admit there are some nice touches (green engine, openable hood...). I don't see any possibility for geniuos mechanics, like in the turret of 42009. At least all motors in the back part (maybe battery box in the front) shafts, cardans... but as i see, the motors are put closest to their duty area, simply geared through. Still i am waiting for further infos, maybe something will change.
  15. +1 absolutely, i expected much smoother and more realistic scaled look, especially, if we take a look at on 8043 an 8258... i will probably pass, but the red truck looks good! But it is still a front loader... maybe dressing it up, fill the gaps, reconstruct... will see. Bulldozer is still a potential buy. :)
  16. Happy me... :) I do love front loaders in general, and a bulldozer is coming too... this will be my year.
  17. Hi All, i am just faced with these: http://www.youtube.com/user/hexbugtv and played with the idea: how cool would be to involve kids into Lego Technic with such collectibles - ready for customization. I mean like Ninjago spinners, Chima vehicles. I know therefore we have Mindstorms, but i think about more compact sets: 1 IR, 1 Medium motor... well custom battery box (Li-Po), for reasonable price. Does somebody made such MOC? Feel free to put here, opinions, links... whatever. Maybe just another idea for different kind of Technic stuffs (OK, i wouldn't mind some official steampunk Technic set ).
  18. Count me in! First the Fiesta, now this... very creative part usage, appeareance is TOP, i would like to have a copy of it. Definiately.
  19. The appearance, the mechanics, the functions, I still love this set, i DO! Not to mention: they look so fantastic with 8043 together...
  20. Actually not impossible: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/drakmin/sets/72157627779718767/
  21. In this case most of the comments should be also deleted, as they will be - mine as well - not relevant on-topic. Or just delete the whole topic, and start a new with the title above. Thanks.
  22. Well, i think there is a lot of good work in this model - technically. BUT. In my opinion, the fault is here, that it was driven by "the bigger - the better" logic, which is false. Impressive, the required functions are successfully applied, but the whole thing is way too messy, and hurt my eyes. If this would be compact and more a real crane look alike, i would more appritiate it. The outfit is always a selling point - it is pure marketing. Also it is more challenging to implement the same functions in compat size. So it remains a good and impressive MOC, but nothing heartwarming - sorry, sincerely i didn't get the feeling: "Oh, i WANT one", and in this sense there is no reason to compare with 42009, as the topic title does. Here is a good example for getting the instant buy feeling: (BTW: am i the only who can not use Enter to break the lines, or it is a general problem?)
