  1. Congratulations to all the winners! I'm honoured to have come in third amongst all the great entries in this year's contest. Thanks to everyone who voted for me and also to EB for hosting.
  2. Oh, I wish we had a LEGO brand store here, so I could have it in my hands already!
  3. The modifications you have made look fantastic!
  4. Thanks, Purpearljellyblob, I'm glad you like it!
  5. ... when you start replacing "a girl can never have enough shoes" with "a girl can never have enough LEGO".
  6. Wow. Thanks everyone! I'm stoked given the number of great entries there were for the avatar contest. Congratulations, too, to Oky and the winners and place getters in the micro and animal planet contests. Everyone deserves a round of applause for all the amazing entries. A big thank you, too, to Si-MOCs and EB for hosting a fantastic sci-fi month!
  7. The Whizz Midget is just beautiful! It's a perfect balance of sportiness and toughness. I'm not as much of a fan of the shape of the Wolverine SS, but it is a great colour scheme.
  8. The facade on this building is just magnificent! So grand and elegant. I love how the outside of each floor is different, yet maintains the consistent look and feel. The awnings on the ground floor (both over the restaurant and for the shop) look fantastic, as does the brick-built main door . The inside is equally as stunning, with so much attention to detail. Too many great details to list them all, so I'll just highlight my favourites: the tablecloths on the round tables in the restaurant, the white bed with the yellow bedspread, the red fridge, the dark red / tan wall combination, the old-fashioned toilet in the green bathroom and the white sofa . And the stairs look great, too. All your buildings are beautiful, but this is definitely my favourite one so far!
  9. Thanks, Esurient and dr_spock! I knew something was amiss when I grabbed him out of the box, but I couldn't put my finger on it. One of the joys of sharing your LEGO with an almost 6 y.o., I guess!

    Courthouse

This courthouse looks lovely! I like the minimal use of the brick bricks to suggest just a touch of ageing and realism. You've also captured the look and feel of the actual building really well!
  11. Wow. That extract is one hell of a parts list in itself. I bet you were sick of the sight of those plates and cheese slopes by the end of the build!
  12. The facade on this church is gorgeous! I particularly like the curves that you have incorporated into the top half. Well done!
  13. This is amazing! It looks fantastic and very true to the real building. I have to ask ... how many 1x1 plates with tooth went into this tower?
  14. Looks like a real set, only better. There are lots of great details here, but my favourite parts are the stretcher and the awning above the path.
  15. This looks great. I like how you have done the interior, especially the conveyor belt for the bottling and packing! Well done. Just one suggestion. Do you need somewhere for a truck to pull up to take a load? Maybe large double doors at the back?
  16. Looks good so far. I'll be keeping an eye on this one as well!
  17. This is cute! I like the die for the sign, the bed (very girly!!) and the flowers. I didn't realise all the colours those flowers came in (Note to self: add those pink flowers to the wanted list!).
  18. Sounds interesting. Any photos?
  19. Love it! Kids are definitely awesome.
  20. Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. I really appreciate it. I'd like to be able to take credit for the idea, but it's just an (unintentional) photography trick!
  21. Here's my entry, called "Sunken Treasure": And the link to the topic. Peppermint_M, can we have more than one entry to this Building Drive?
  22. Here is my entry to the "Wonderful Things" Building Drive. What does every deep sea explorer hope to find? A treasure chest full of gold! This one makes the diver look a little like a cyclops! There are a few more photos on flickr.
  23. This looks really good! Any chance of a photo from above so we can get a better look at the skylights?
  24. LOL. I've got some ideas using non-Fabuland pieces also.
