  1. This is cute! The lime round plates trim on the facade works really well. There some clever details inside as well, like using the space under the stairs for the couch and drawers unit, the dice tile for the stove top and I like how you done the light above the stairwell. My favourite part, though, is the top floor with that gorgeous bed and the neat little greenhouse. Well done!
  2. Ok, I admit, I'm literally drooling! Overall, the building is stunning and the muted tones of the buildings make it look like a very grand. Then you start taking in the details ... too many to point them all out, so I'll just mention my favourites: the tiled floor on the ground floor, the effect created with the mix of plain and grill bricks on the outer walls, the railings in front of the first floor windows and the trims at the roof line (straight and curved parts). Also, the interior details are impressive! The attention to detail (like the patients blue shirt) is amazing. I really like the technique you have used for the tiling on the ground floor. Thanks for sharing.
  3. This is really cute! I particularly like the colour combination and interior of the bus stop building. Well done and good luck!
  4. This is awesome! The posing on the crazy scientist is just perfect!
  5. LOL. This is great, especially the posing. You can almost feel the panic in the chicken suit guys.
  6. This is a great start for a story. I definitely want to hear what happens next!
  7. Thanks, obsidiantheart. The idea for this truck started with the dish and the flickfire missiles. Everything else was built to fit those features in. Thanks, soccerkid. I really appreciate the nice comments. The first version of this was 6 studs wide and very awkward looking. It had a seriously cramped interior!
  8. Great idea, nicely executed.
  9. This has James Bond written all over it. Well done!
  10. This is mean looking chomp-er, and would probably crumble my support truck in one bite (if you got past the flick fire missiles ).
  11. Nice, sleek car. I'd like to go cruising in this.
  12. Wow. This looks awesome. I like how difference in the seats and the opulent railing on the balcony work well to differentiate the two seating areas. I'm looking forward to seeing your Palace Cinema as a whole!
  13. Thanks for sharing. It's interesting to see how this evolved over time, ending up quite different from the original. I like the current shape of the building, although the blue is a bit much for me. I think this has the potential to be a great modular building if it had a different colour scheme. I also like the third version, as it captures the 80 classic town perfectly. My favourite is the first one - very cute!
  14. These are all fantastic cars, with the possible exception of the 6-wheeler. Not sure I'm ready for that one. My favourites are the Vintage Truck (great tray) and the Cobalt Cruiser (nice shape, especially when viewed from the side).
  15. Sorry, no other suggestions for now, but I would like to see this as part of New Mannum.
  16. This looks fantastic! It seems to have everything except the farmhouse. I particularly like how you have done the grape vines and apple and orange orchards.
  17. Nice! This looks like an official Winter Village school. I'm a bit concerned about the chemical flask being balanced on the railing like that, though.
  18. Wow. The entries just keep getting better and better. The thing that stands out for me with this one is how everything looks so well integrated. And the micro-mech is adorable! Well done.
  19. Congratulations on hitting your first milestone. How about some small appliances on the top shelf above the kitchen accessories? Maybe 2x2 boxes for a toaster, rice cooker, small microwave, etc? I think you also need to sell some DVDs, books and magazines. And maybe some impulse buys at the counter?
  20. My secret agent support truck has been uploaded. See it here.
  21. By popular demand ( i.e. a lone request from Captain Nemo ), I present my first ever MOC vehicle, the Secret Agent Support Truck! On the outside it looks like any other City truck modified into a refrigerated food transport / delivery truck: However, this truck is packed with the latest and greatest in surveillance and telecommunications equipment to support the modern secret agent, and enough flick fire missile power to blast any baddie into oblivion: A closer look at the state of the art surveillance equipment and the stash of spare flick fire missiles: Just in case there is any confusion, this is a support truck for the good guys. C&C welcome. This was a lot of fun to build, but I will fully understand if you feel a need to tell me that I should just focus on modular buildings!
  22. Very clever and nicely executed. This would be quite popular in the Winter Village given the lack of facilities in the buildings themselves.
  23. You're definitely not the only one, but playability is a secondary consideration for me in the case of the modular buildings. The town hall and pet shop were popular with my daughter for their playability. I recall at some stage that every LEGO animal we had was stuffed into the pet shop. It was quite crowded in there. Back on topic, I imagine the Palace Cinema will also be popular with her because of the ability to buy snacks / popcorn and the multiple seats, which means a group of Friends or minifigures will be able to go see a movie together.
