  1. I love what the hippy did to the brand new VW. Specially, the flowers on the wheels. Also, the Beetle and T1 look fantastic. It's not easy to make a small car with many details, yet you managed to make realistic cars with recognizable details. Congratulations on these lovely models.
  2. The bridge easily outstands the Palace Cinema. I like the curveture of the stairs, and the colors of the cobblestone street. The bridge on its own could very easily be situated somewhere in Venice. Flower beds are a nice touch to finish the pedestrian area. Well done.
  3. These are really nice. I haven't tried at this micro scale, as it's very hard to get the details right. I like the first floor of Apple store, it's a really simple and recognizable design, however the detailed roof looks a bit out of size (but I'm sure it's hard or impossible to make it smaller). The street layout looks fine, very colorful, and with many details on the facades. My favourite on the street layout is the library, it looks very grand with the bricks and pillars on the front. Well done.
  4. I was in Vienna, too. And my conclusion was that I can totally understand why the (dominantly) female audience couldn't keep quiet 50 years ago. Even at 71, he's got some energy that makes him a special performer. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it. About half of the songs he played in Vienna, were from the Beatles, and the performance was fantastic and very energizing. I had the music caught in my mind for couple of days. Simply loved it there.
  5. This is yet another great news from you, Grogall! Thanks for being our informant. I've been to Vienna a week ago, and in comparison to Munich, at least it's a more comfortable drive (shorter, and not as crowded), yet public transport is better for Munich. Since the store opens just when I'm going back from summer break, I'm hoping to catch the opening weekend.
  6. Interesting topic. I was told I should put my lighthouse for sale, however, I'm not sure anyone would buy it. And even then, the shipping would be risky, as I'm not sure how stable the round structure is for long distance shipping. And as I'd want to keep the island, just letting go of the lighthouse, is not really a complete MOC. On the other hand, putting a price to it, is even trickier - to price the parts according to BL, is managable and but your own work, that's where I don't know how to make a price. All in all, I'm still keeping it for myself, and I'm just more likely to take it apart then really sell it.
  7. Another lovely building from you. I like how you make them in a similar style, yet each has its own personality. What I like the most about the cafe, is the first floor with vibrant orange and the crowd - gives it a realistic look. Well done (as usually).
  8. I'm not a big fan of LDD, I only recently tried long enough to almost finish one of my smaller models in LDD. However, this beauty looks great and I'd love to see it in bricks (and plates). The modular aspect of the hotel is great, adding different floors adds to the build. My favorite variation is on the last picture, with 2 floors over the entrance, and then the floor with terraces. Well done.
  9. I spotted this fine house couple days ago, but never had enough time to write my thought on it. Actually, it's just the kind I like the most. Looking pretty simple with a few extra details really standing out. The plates above the windows are perfect, and attract all the attention. The roof in olive green looks perfectly fine, and the used of cheese was a great idea. The color scheme is well planed in somewhat muted colors. All in all, it's a lovely residential building, so congrats on the fine build.
  10. Stinky, can you add me as well? I don't have a Google+ account, but wouldn't mind being on the map. I'm from Ljubljana, Slovenia (Europe). Thanks.
  11. There are some amazing and simple architectural details on the building. I love this simplistic effect of combination of jumper plates and plates, it looks simple, but I never thought of displaying studs like that. I'm sure gonna try it in the future. The station building is very impressive - both in size and in style. Well done.
  12. The 2CV's design is great! My favourite combination is dark red and black. Somehow, it looks more realistic than the other bright colours. Well done!
  13. I've just made a deal with Vaders_son - it was fast and smooth, so a +1 for him.
  14. By far, my favourite detail is the green bicycle without its wheels. Although, it's owner likely doesn't find it funny.
  15. Another great review! I took my time reading it, as I hoped to go through in one go, which was not possible with my weekend company. It's a set I sought for while at the Legoland park. Despite all-black look (as it's supposed to be), the building itself looks far from boring, there's a lot of detailing that attract some of the attention. I don't mind that size is not proportional to minifig scale, however, I'd prefer more details from books/films included as opposed to some play features, such as the dungeon. Nevertheless, it's a fascinating set.
  16. You did a great job! It looks like a lovely pop-out map of London's attractions. It's not easy building in microscale, but you did extremely well. My favourite is the London Eye. It's a simple design, yet so recognizable. I like the trans-clear heads for the cabins.
  17. Although a nice idea, I'm not sure TLG would got make a brick like that, specially as one can use more of the 1x1 bricks with a stud. However, a brick like that would make it easier. As the arch is a new piece, I'm hoping for extra colors, too.
  18. Everyone is planning a trip to Billund already?! Well, I can understand that part, but not the raccoon...
  19. It was great meeting you, although just for a short time. And the event being in Europe, it's certainly an advantage for some of us. I was surprised that many came by car, and I really got in a mood for a car trip at the end of the summer (destination still uknown).
  20. I've managed PAB cups so far. And I'm on a tight schedule, trying to have it done by Friday, so my nephews visiting will help with the sets.
  21. Driving south was obviously the way to go. There were about 10 drops of rain, and that was it for the whole day. And while we were driving back home, the weather reports for Gunzburg and the area around were really bad. The sun made lots of difference, as it was lovely to enjoy the park in such a fine weather.
  22. Is it normal to be so tired after the event? I hardly think about anything else than Lego. Quarry, the photographer was caught in a nice pose. It's like they were expecting us, and they increased their stock. And it's not like we cleaned them out - just took few kgs.
  23. This is an interesting design. I have two of those sets, and I'm thinking of modularising it for a few years now. The idea I have is much different from yours, so it's great to see a potential in a set to make it different. The color scheme looks fine, but it's details attracting attention. I like the rounded corner, although I'd prefer a non-transparent roof.
  24. This was one of the few attractions I tried twice, so I guess it's obvious.
