  1. Glad to have you in Mitgardia! Very good snow effects, and the dynamic pose of Amalthea and the bear are great
  2. Lovely ship, I haven't seen many that look so nice at this scale Your character looks to be a very promising one
  3. Even if it is a bit big, I quite like the string bass design Quite a comfortable looking inn with the flower pot, raised area for performers and most importantly: plenty of food and drink
  4. Nice path design, I like how the reddish brown plates look below the round tiles The bamboo plants remind me of when I had just gotten a bunch of them off the PaB wall myself, I used to use them so much
  5. Tremendous castle layout! The angles and various bridges give a very unique look Quite a pretty landscape with the various trees and flowers - perfect for Avalonia. Great to see you fitting interiors in! I love the storage cave, and winding path down to the beach
  6. Those trees do look great, I'm surprised how well telescopes work for the trunk Clever use of the large blade element in the plow
  7. The tree is excellent, and the little stone wall looks quite realistic Neat hoe design too. And as someone who has picked rock out of fields, I fully understand his expression
  8. What a first MOC Lots of absolutely gorgeous designs on display here! Those trees, and the the stonework of the tallest section are especially pretty Have you considered joining Guilds of Historica?
  9. Glad to hear that, Dathil New freebuild:
  10. This was my fourth entry into the Colossal Castle Contest, for the Video Game Castle category. This model is based off of the watchtowers in Riften from the game Skyrim. The birch trees are versions of John’s tree design shown in our tree tutorial. I did include the stairs that make up most of the tower’s interior, though I wasn’t able to get a decent picture of them. Nordheim has various large watchtowers along the main roads leading to the city. Sir Glorfindel is on his way to visit the dwarves there, and bring them news from their kin in Hradcanny. More pictures on brickbuilt. As always, comments and suggestions welcome
  11. You're off to a great start with your AoM builds! The green or blue (?) underneath the trans clear plates gives a nice sense of depth and the overhanging cliff face certainly would be a dangerous setting for a practice fight Neat way of attaching the leaves, though as HQ pointed out, the bottom section of the trunks are a bit thick. Maybe just use 1x1 round bricks there instead of the slopes? Can't wait to see what else you come up with!
  12. Neat way of showing the raked gravel The tree is very pretty, and I like how you included a bird as well
  13. Haven't been as active as I like recently, due to college, and then competing in the Colossal Castle Contest.Though I do have some builds from that for the guilds, just waiting to be posted. Also have plans for some new ones (need to finish Age of Mitgardia finally ), and some Safe Haven stuff to do as well. Naturally I am still a Mitgardian
  14. Glad to have you in the North, Stad!
  15. Finally I have another freebuild to share: Mitgardia has been quiet of late, I hope the holidays give everyone some more building time
  16. My 2nd entry for the 15th Colossal Castle Contest, for the “Ye Old Switcheroo” category. I used a technique somewhat similar to my technic rockwork, but using plate modified with clip and handle instead of technic bricks for the cliff, and really like how it turned out. Getting a dragon’s egg is always a dangerous business. This Mitgardian adventurer thought switching an egg for a similar shaped rock would allow him to make an undetected swap. After a long climb up the cliff face to reach the dragon's nest, he finally seems to have achieved his objective. But will he really get away with the egg? Plenty more pictures available on brickbuilt! Finally finished the semester, so now I can get onto CCC entries/GoH builds! C&C welcome
  17. Nicely developed culture you established here! I very much like the general style of the figs, and agree that the dragon cultist ones are especially impressive The Dragon Slayer Warrior, Rogue Assassin, and Fire Elemental are also top-notch
  18. It's easy to see you put a lot of thought into this series! The tiny dragon is adorable Mkuu, Winda, and Ganga are my favorites Clever hammer design for the blacksmith too!
  19. Quality all around! One thing I hadn't noticed before is the thickness of the wall, it gives the building a much more realistic solid feel than the 1-2 stud thick stone walls we often see The rafters/roof structure and window are lovely too of course
  20. This setting really starts your imagination going! Tremendous use of color and the layout is superb. The city continued in the background adds a ton too
  21. Very neat building, the simple wall design works nicely especially combined with the ledge around the bottom Great use of some new CMF parts inside, with the tray and bowl. And I'm quite interested to see the story continue
  22. The unique stonework fits this scene beautifully Superb lantern and little barred window as well
  23. This was built for a college assignment, where we had to make some sort of visual art. Of course I chose to do something with LEGO, and used it as an opportunity to recreate Chartres Cathedral. The Abbey of St. Piat was not included in my rendition. It took 16 hours to complete, and weighs 4.6 pounds. This is my first cathedral, and it was quite a fun project. You can see more pictures on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, feedback always appreciated
  24. The porch is a nice addition to the building, and as a whole I think it may be your best building yet I agree with Titus about the single layer of brown plates though.
  25. Another lovely medieval house Angles all incorporated very smoothly, and the use of the new macaroni tiles is superb Excellent combination of colors and textures for the landscape too
