  1. That looks incredible, Kai! I don't spot any important omissions, though the storyline was never my strong suit
  2. That wall technique is beautiful A gatehouse in between the two wall sections would have looked tremendous, but I totally understand getting tired of working on a model after it takes much longer than you like. Another thing that can help make a wall look more exciting, is to place it on uneven terrain or angle the wall across the landscape. The tree adds a nice pop of color, and is well built. Great touch to have some icicles hanging from the wall too
  3. The elegant lines and arches of the architecture are so pretty The gallery, dark orange roofs, and half-stud offset dark tan patches are my favorite details And the minifigure poses and heads tell a story on their own. I'm also intrigued by how we can see the tower interior from the main view, I usually avoid that with my own interiors, but really like how it works here. So I'll have to give it a try in the future. These thugs aren't going to be happy when they're caught
  4. Welcome to eurobricks! Enjoy assembling the AT-AT, and the custom scene you have planned for it sounds promising
  5. I'm amazed by how well you have gotten this to work! Looks like a fun way to easily experiment with castle layouts
  6. "Struggles with being the older brother of a genius!" Sure it's hard getting shown up by your younger brother sometimes. But when that happens, I just go with: "I taught him everything he knows!" Probably learned that from you, Z
  7. With Book III rapidly approaching, I thought now would be a good time to look back at Mitgardia in Book II. I've been working on a MOC Index for all the builds by Mitgardians in Book II, and seeing all the incredible MOCs again both brought back a lot of good memories and provided lots of inspiration for new builds. Here is one of my favorite builds from each contributing member of Mitgardia during Book II. Each picture links to the build topic so you can check them out further if you like. @mrcp6d @janatale @Infernum @RonaldusMaxus @kabel @Alfadas @MKJoshA @Tomsche @Gunman @Jodocus @IenjoyLego89 @Ecclesiastes @Admiral Khan @soccerkid6 @DrColossus @kevkipo @Garmadon @nivremis @Direlda @Jakon @Admiral Ron @Dutchy @mccoyed @Davidbarrena @Venkefedo @Slegengr @Sir Gareth @Andrew Spader @IGUNNUK33LU @Puvel @Dragonfire @Mpyromaxos @Pvt13 @High Baron Vindavin @Legofin2012 @The Stad @hench @Mr Breden @Yooha @Duke Blastus @Etzel @Legopard @Sigolf Brimabane @Captain Braunsfeld @Blaze @DwalinF @VK-318 @dathil Note: Some builders do not have a creation shown, as all the pictures in their topics disappeared I hope to see many of you return for Book III in Mitgardia! If you are interested in seeing the MOC index I've put together, you can find it in the 4th post here. I worked mainly from the Mitgardia Book II topic, and various challenge/mini-challenge topics, so I likely missed some builds. You can link me to any I should add, if you know of some I overlooked. Feel free to share any fond memories you have from Book II, and ideas for going forward into Book III
  8. As a matter of fact I do. But I was planning on waiting to show those until I can get my other little cottage posted, and John reveals his Kaliphlin island. Though if you were following our website closely, you could have already seen them
  9. Thanks Garmadon! Not much new in this house, just combining some designs I came up with before Thanks Kai! Thank you mccoyed, and yes this building had no interior as I was short on time before Brickworld. I'm looking forward to doing a building with an interior again soon Thanks dG! Thanks Z, and indeed they would... I'll keep that in mind Thanks Titus! This went on a large landscape that Rogue had built. Saved me from needing to build my own, and he had plenty of space on his
  10. Sounds promising! And you certainly are I'm super excited to see what you come up with for Book III
  11. The first post has been updated! And I can now award @mccoyed his overdue titles of Farmer and Watchman @The Stad: Your builds are all in the scorecard now as well, keep up the good work Let me know if I missed anything again
  12. This was one of my small contributions to the Guilds of Historica display at Brickworld 2018. Kevin had extra space on his island, so I built this and one other house to fit in an Avalonian setting. We had some lights left over after making our realm for the Tree of Worlds, which allowed me to throw some inside this house to light the stained glass windows. Despite the plentiful timber in Avalonia, stone is a common material choice for the more expensive homes. If the building looks familiar, it utilizes many of the same designs as our previous Nordheim Armory. See more pictures on Brickbuilt. C&C welcome
  13. Certainly a top notch dragon Great balance of color and its shape is quite convincing I also really like the various earth tones you used in the small landscape below it, and how you then put that on its own black base
  14. Glad to hear it, hope you're able to finish in time! Sweet! Can't wait to see it And whoever wins the category could claim the micro castle as their prize if they prefer it to the set
  15. The Summer Joust is a little over halfway done! We've already had several stellar entries from Guild members, but I would love to see some more And as some added incentive, a couple of the custom prizes have been revealed:
  16. Varlryio
  17. Eryl Storrar of Harburg is already a staunch Mitgardian despite his young age. From left to right: Karin Storrar, Eryl and Elise (twins), Karsten Storrar. Eryl's parents, Karsten and Karin, are the Lord and Lady of Harburg, while his uncle is Sir Glorfindel - Karsten's younger brother.
  18. The mill looks well kept sturdy Great mix of stone and wood sections, and the roof is excellent too. I like that you included a portion of rock and some flowers in this landscape, as it helps break up all the dark tan. I'm excited to see all the modules together!
  19. Mottled Stone Wall Tutorial
  20. "Older brother of a genius!" As the title states, my younger brother is a genius I'm thinking ZCerberus gave it to me, after my brother and I got to meet him at Brickworld. Maybe this will stop the confusion over which of us is older
  21. A classic deGothia scene Well composed, plenty of small details, and even full interiors! Differentiating the market area from the houses by having a lower street level is really clever and effective Especially since you included stairs to give easy circulation between the levels. The brick built bird in the market is one of my favorite touches, though I also enjoyed how you used sand green in the stone building.
  22. Super cool use of olive green! The house is superb with the crumbling stone and roof textures I also really like how you used cones under the flowers, gives a much more unique appearance than just using the flower elements by themselves. You should consider joining Guilds of Historica, Book III will be starting soon which makes a great time for new builders to join, and your epic castle creations would fit in perfectly
  23. @TheLordOfBricksGlad to have you in on the fun! Even if you did join the 'wrong' guild I'm excited to see you develop Fingarfelin!
  24. Wonderful recap of a truly amazing project! It was a privilege to contribute this year, and we certainly learned our lesson about using technic Congratulations to everyone who contributed on earning the well deserved Group Layout award Also thanks Gideon for getting some great pictures of the tree
