This build was inspired by Scottish Castles and Tower-Houses. I wanted to experiment with a modular building setup, and a new style of stonework. The keep is built on four separate 16×16 sections that can be pulled apart and rearranged. For the stonework I used brackets, headlight bricks, and brick with stud to give three different depths to the SNOT tiles. Credit for the corbel design under the battlements goes to LL. John designed the brickbuilt arches used here. Bjarn-dar Keep sits in Southern Mitgardia and is the main residence of the Bjarn Clan. Today a fresh shipment of supplies is delivered by some Mitgardian merchants. And one example of how the modules can be rearranged: See more here. Thanks for looking, comments and critique always welcome

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

You know that's right! Geographically we're still tops too at this point @ZlatanXVIGustaf Welcome to the guilds! -
Nice expansion to your previous builds If you could get some larger sheets of paper, or even a cloth background, that would help your build presentation and make it easier to fit the complete model in a picture

Pretty neat wooden lookout platform Nice touch with the straw bales behind the targets

Quite a gorgeous tower! The way it sits into the rockbase adds more interest to the scene, and the wooden details are excellent Brilliant deer head too, has to be the best I've seen

Been doing some Castle building again: Still a long way to go though. And a general reminder: only a little over a week left in the Summer Joust! -
Yet another wonderfully natural landscape Very somber and touching story as well Personally, I never tire of seeing your incredible trees, and I think it fits perfectly in this scene

Thanks! And yes the bottom 2 rows of sliders work, but the 2 with large red handles don't move.

My third build for ABS Round 2.1. The seed part this round is the red bucket, which I used 17 times. This was a ton of fun to build, and I was even able to include the seed parts from all previous ABS rounds, making a grand total of 10 different seed parts in this MOC. You can see the fine print for the 'advertisement on flickr'. See more on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking!

Here is Sir Glorfindel: The dragon plume isn't necessary, if it's extra work

Thanks for a heads-up, Z. Have a great time at BW -
Thanks! Thank you, I've kept it together because it is so much fun to mess around with Thanks! The sight was the last part I built, and once I thought to add crosshairs it looked way better.

You did really well creating impressive dragons out of largely transparent elements Excellent presentation as well, great idea to have each dragon posed on a matching rock base
-
Great use of SNOT to detail the street, and make a nice angled curb Fun minifig combos that certainly fit right in for Kaliphlin

Another build for ABS Round 2.1, in which the seed part was the red bucket. This build started off with the hot rod, and I then decided it needed a bit of setting and sand seemed like a good choice. After that, a sand castle seemed an obvious choice for an extra use of the seed part. And the car does roll smoothly. More on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking

This was built for the ABS Builder Challenge, Round 1.2 It was largely inspired by Cesbrick’s amazing Kid’s Room model. This was quite an enjoyable change from my typical minifigure scale Castle creations. Both the closet doors and main door do open and close. You can see more pictures on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking

This was built for ABS round 2.1, in which the seed part was the red bucket. The blaster features a removable clip (accomplished via magnets) along with a working trigger and charging handle. The whole thing is quite solid and very playable. More pictures can be seen here.

That's what I like to hear! -
Tons of impressive buildings and details to admire The Venice look was captured wonderfully, and the main wooden bridge makes a great centerpiece It looks like you even managed to work some shading into the water, which is a great extra level of detail The dark red building, and tan/bley building complex are my favorites

That's too bad, maybe just a little vignette entry? Time, always such a bother I hope you're able to get something entered though. If you didn't post all of your Ch. V builds before May 1st, you might be able to use a couple for entries into the Summer Joust too Great! Looking forward to seeing it Glad to see you around again! Immersive scenes do tend to take a lot of LEGO, unless working in microscale. -

Less than a month left in the Summer Joust now, with plenty of prizes up for grabs -
First build in GoH: More recent builds: I joined the Guilds pretty near the start, as I was interested in Castle themed MOCing, and there was a huge group of people enthusiastic about the project, along with prizes, challenges, and more feedback on creations than you could find elsewhere. The before mentioned reasons all have kept me active in GoH, but especially the friendly community of builders are what make the Guilds so amazing It's the place to be for Castle MOCers, especially those looking to tell stories, improve their building skills and presentation, or just to have fun as part of a community.
