  1. This set reminded me so much of the old figure packs that I picked it up when I came across it in a store, I just recalled. And I don't even collect City sets!
  2. I bought multiples of 6703 and 6704 when I was a teenager. Miss those packs.
  3. I won't be surprised if they just use the "Bedhead" piece for Kai's hair. (That's what I've been doing, anyway.)
  4. Nope, Emmet's comedian Chris Pratt!
  5. This piece looks fun! Let's do this Clikits thing. Heck yeah, bracelets!
  6. I'm not sure why, I just assumed Lord Business's hair was going to look like Mugatu's in Zoolander. Probably because they're both villains played by Will Farrel. I hope there's a set with one of those billboards! Or, I guess I could make one. Still, I want that Bike/Jeep set we've seen pictures of! All the early promotional materials I saw for this said the bad guy was called "President Business". Sad it isn't still that.
  7. Torso print won't matter much if you're planning on building an accordion, since the instrument will most likely block any decoration.
  8. Got 9 at a Wal-Mart. The 8 that I wanted and 1 for my son. They were on a side-cap on the actual LEGO isle (for a change). The yeti's head in a little loose, is that normal? Might get a few (or 5) more Evil Mechs for the Blacktron armor.
  9. The prices indicate that they're probably not just for kids! I mean that as a joke, but then you get to sets like the Opera House and the Ewok village and the time and display space they take up and the shine of the humor wears off just a bit.
  10. I think this is great! I love the old "Named" villains of LEGO, particularly Vladek, Ogel, and Sam Sinister. It's nice to see one of them resurrected. I always thought the rainbow styles of the Knights was supposed to be Power Rangers-esqe. Still weird, though.
  11. You taunt me with that Heavy Sci-Fi barrel end in the second-to-last picture!
  12. I have a big, ridiculous soft spot for Alpha Team. I like them as secret agents, and have a hard time picturing them as the original concept portrays them. I was in my dark ages when Alpha Team came out, but I still picked up the copter, the ATV & submarine, and the underwater exo-suit from wave 2. Later, when Agents came out, and I was out of my dark ages, I bought the heads for all the Alpha Team characters and turned them into the extended Agents team while retaining their original characterizations. Except TeeVee, because I was using his head on a group of evil drones, and also I've never been fond of him, I guess. This meant I had to re-name Agent Charge to Agent Crash since there is an Alpha Team Charge, but whatever. I keep kicking around an idea of building modernized versions of their original sets in Agents colors. Kinda wish we had gotten that Ogel armor shown in the video, though.
  13. All that's missing is the launched pig.
  14. Now ram it with a rusty truck!
  15. Accidentally used this in a Digital Build the other day, and then realized it wasn't widely available when I couldn't find it on Bricklink to see what colors it came in. It looks really neat, though. Can't wait to see what the real thing looks like.
  16. I think part of it also has to do with the system specifications of the computer you're running it on. I have a file that is something like 16,000 plus bricks, and on my old, antiquated machine, the file chugs along and has a 15 second delay between clicking an action and the actual response. However, on my friend's high-end gaming PC, the file behaves relatively normally. Also pretty curious about a 40,000 piece project over here!
  17. That's really impressive! I like the overhanging classrooms.
  18. I guess it would help if I actually, y'know, remembered to post the link. Sorry about that. http://amodularlife.wordpress.com/2010/06/12/modular-standards-for-lego-city-buildings/
  19. I used to have an article from the blog "A Modular Life" bookmarked that discussed the standards (width, connection placements, ect.) of modular buildings. Is that what you mean?
  20. Don't know if this is a LDD bug, but everytime I try to use the Flex tool on a 16L chain, the program hangs and has to be shut down from Task Manager.
  21. Just popping in to whine that the Mountain Warrior build posted earlier totally cost me a red Technic connector. Had to use a power tool to cut it open to get the pin out without damaging the funky black piece. GRUMBLE.
  22. Has 11477 been mentioned yet? I know it's new.
  23. This might sound like a weird suggestion, but you might try building the rocks in LEGO Digital Designer before you go ordering a ton of slopes. I built a large extension to the set you're using for inspiration, and I did all the pre-build layout stuff in LDD. Of course, then I went a little nuts and built a 192-stud x 144-stud table layout for it... But hey, I got plenty of practice with landscaping!
  24. EAT THEM. Sorry, I dunno why I do that whenever someone asks what to do with stuff. Anyway, on the topic of clocks, there are 2x2 round tiles with clockfaces (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4150px1), but they might be a bit small.
  25. I stalked you flickr page for a while before ordering stuff from you a couple of times. Just wanted to take this opportunity to say that I love your stuff. Gotta ask, will the Gladiator Arm Guards fit under the Brute Armor?
