    A bit of setup: My son has a Horizon Express that we modified to remove the side chevrons, but he's constantly having a hard time storing or carrying around the passenger cars because of the Jacob Bogie. I'm not a train guy, but I do a LOT of Digital Designer building, and came up with a simple solution to remove the Jacob Bogie and just add 2 regular ones. My actual question is this: The Horizon Express engine car occasionally detaches from the front magnetic holder as-is, will this problem get worse if I modify the center to have two regular magnetic bogies, or will it stay the same? Will 2 regular bogies even work in this model?

    Really hoping the Toxikita whatever set has a female Slime Face with a trans-Neon Green head. It was very difficult to make a team of 6 out of the 3 heads available in that color.

    I keep trying to figure out if the sets are visible in that single, grainy photo of the table in the booth.

    All their new limited edition figure sell out almost immediately, and it's rumored that they go to mostly the same people, but that might just be some trash-talk from another customer I talk to who missed out on the Fire Priestess and the one that came after that. I missed out on the Fire Priestess because it wasn't on the site when I went to work the day it came out, and when I got home it was sold out and I was told it was "Gone Forever". I'm still a little bitter about that, but whatever.

    Didn't think the Bley switch happened until 2005. This is all pointless, though. You guys have fun with... whatever this is. Outrage coupled with debate. I'm out.

    But even before the China outsourcing people were having problems with color-match in their LEGO elements. I remember all the posts at FBTB complaining about fifty shades of Bley and twelve different yellows in the same box, and that was about a decade ago.

    I had this problem when I ordered 852293 Giant Fantasy Castle Chess Set. The shipping box looked like it contained unassembled furniture. Then I opened it up and saw that 99% of the box was filled with the actual set box, which is also enormous (and sitting in the back of my closet, because it is too big to go anywhere else right now).

    LEGO opened a factory in Mexico. That's what I was talking about. I was saying, 'Hey, are you guys going to do this China thing about all the LEGO product that rolls out of that particular factory, or are we just picking on China'.

    So, hey. Lot of complaining about China. I get where it's coming from: Lower standards for industrial safety and accountability, and some awfully grey areas on rights violations. What I want to know, and this may sound callous, is: "Am I going to get to listen to a bunch of complaining and quality-issue blaming on that new factory in Mexico or where ever it is?"

    Or they're going to drop the quality of the other factories to meet with China's lowered bar and all that doom and gloom was right on target and our fun is spoiled forever. (I am totally kidding. I do not think that this is the case.)

    Man, I sure am glad he pointed all this out. I never would have known, because we absolutely haven't discussed Chinese manufactured CMFs to death. I'm also glad he joined to tell us he was quitting so we could heal the him-shaped hole that will be left in the hobby and all our hearts.

    LEGO has given us some fantastic villains over the years, and while Dr. Inferno is held in high regard around my house, I also forced him to accept Ogel, Sam Sinister, and even Cyrus Borg into his organization. I'm looking forward to seeing what directions LEGO takes this theme in, and what directions it pulls my imagination in as a result. I'd love to see Dr. Inferno or Ogel return, but I wouldn't object to some new villains, either (maybe no more Magma Drones, though). Now we just need to see the pictures. While I'm hoping for dark blue predominance like last time, I'm willing to be flexible here.

    I did that to most of the named characters in LEGO stuff. The Ninjago kids, Some of the Adventurers, the Atlantis Crew, Rock Raiders... You get the idea. Hunting up a spare Wyldstyle head now so I can give her and Emmet spots on the team. But Alpha Team was the first to get the expansion. It just made sense, and I had an awful lot of spare Chases and Traces. Plus, I've always liked them a bunch.
