  1. In my opinion this MOC has to many parts. You will need a lot of resources (money, or a big technic collection) to be able to build this. It's ofcourse no problem for the builder to build something with a lot of parts, but could it be done with less? I like to build MOC's from time to time that are within a certain reach, like the C-models from Grohl. Ofcourse nobody is forcing anybody to build something, but sharing build instructions is at least saying, "hey man, you might wanna try this"! Well, not going to try this one Just my 2 cents - got this brainwave while watching this thread...
  2. Yay, more cheap Dutchmen! Thanks for those websites, didn't know them yet. It's interesting that online the lego shop for our region doesn't even mention set 42000 yet, but these retailers have them and at neat prices... Sometimes I really don't get the method TLG uses for selling new sets...
  3. Well, i would want to say "good looking moc" but here goes. Can you make some pics of the entire structure so far? I think that all i have seen so far are detail shots... Wing constructions and the attachment of them have my interest as well.
  4. Your English is perfectly understandable. Nice bug
  5. Wow, this is a really cool build. Nice to see an 8x8 with steering in such a small space! And it looks like it can quite handle those ramps! (but maybe the stairs were a bit to much )
  6. Got the same problem! But this thing won't go airborne anyway
  7. So, i just finished building the B-model, and i'm really pleased with the result. This is a really great alternative helicopter. The design is odd but good. The landing gear is different from the A-model, which I think is good. With the same parts creating a different technique. The rotors are cool. One thing I noticed though: In the digital instructions, the rotors on the right section, (viewing from the back) are placed wrong? Anyway, good job from the designer to create this model. Good that it's an alternate helicopter, and with the parts present a really decent model. It could almost be switched around with the A-model. (though it lacks number of functions)
  8. I don't know or own anything fabuland related, is there some history topic about this? I assume it's not being sold anymore.. Like Kristel said, this is quite a challenge
  9. Nice review! I picked up one of these, together with 31008 Thunder Wings, and payed €21 for each. These are my first creator sets, so i don't have anything to compare with, but i do know that i'm more of a technic guy. But, the builds of both are nice, and the result is too.

  14. Remember when the first images of 42000 appeared, the ones from the E-bay auction, that the model wasn't put together very well. That might be the issue here. A small percentage of my brain hopes that TLG will do some tweaking on the crane. (like they did on the service truck) Covering the ugly batterybox, and the right front of the superstructure. There is something unfinished about that triangle construction. Still, really looking forward for both 42008 and 42009. Would like to have both!
  15. Yes, that was the whole idea of this thread. Until everybody started posting here. I don't mind, though.
  16. YEAH BABY! Alright, this is starting to look awesome. And, bad for my wallet... Could the sliding be done with a worm-gear-a-like gear? So, with half of the axle-holding structure inside the gear, so it still grabs the axle, but can slide (you guys all know what i mean, i'm bad at english) The crane is starting to grow on me. I like that it's not completely yellow. 42008 appears to have the same size wheels as the crane? Can someone confirm? Because at first sight it appeared to have the same tires as 8109. edit: you're right porty - 42008
  17. Yo D, i want to skip question 2, since my answer will be no to all questions, but i can't when i'm voting...
  18. Erland, please tell us you guys at TLG are doing this thing right now. Keeping a scoreboard or such.. I'm laughing already by the idea of it...
  19. Nice MOC! Must be hard, fitting all that in such a small space. Lots of rebuilds? I like the looks and scale of it.
  20. WTH! This is the first time i ever see that the turntable is actually turned by pneumatic cylinders... I never knew that (since i don't own the set)
  21. Wow, that is crazy! Simple yet technical... What's the secret underneath the circle?
  22. Where did you get it/payed for it? And can you explain why it's brilliant? I'm not so into motorcycles, but this must have some USP's i presume.
