Technic 1h 2013
captainmib replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think they got this flaw covered. A formula car has a very different back - low and open. Behind the rear suspension there is almost nothing, maybe some exhausts and a wing. And second, maybe it doens't have a batterybox/pf-motor at all. We will see... -

8070 Spider
captainmib replied to therealjustin's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I don't know if it's the quality of the pics or the quality of the mod, or both, but I instantly like the 8070 even more... You did a good job there. Did you use only the 8070 parts? And could you maybe show us the changes/build? -
At first sight it doesnt seem so big, but compared to your house and the 1:18 model... That thing is a giant! Great job on making it so good looking, smooth and well scaled. I wonder how high the part count is? Can you check that in LDD without crashing it?

Tumblers and a Bat!
captainmib replied to mahjqa's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Maaaaaaaaaaaan that black tumbler is a cool ride. I would love to build it sometime, but i lack the motors and black panels... I love the steering system by the way. Checked out the LDD file yesterday and you really got me puzzling about it. Clever job! -
Black Cat

Wow that's a lot! Haha, Dluders, you know how to put some pressure on a builder. Meshing that amount in LDD must be very very frustrating -

I like the stickerless version better as well. Nice car and that gearbox is huge! How many gears did you use? Around 20? -

What a great looking MOC. Looks really tough. Did you use all the panels from 8110, or are those not enough? -

I build your 9394 c-model, the helicopter, today. It is a really good alternate and fun to build. Looks great as well. The only downside i came across is that the instructions miss some small steps. For me no problem, but i was building with my brother, (no experience in building technic lego) so i had to help a few times. Anyway, please keep doing these nice alternates. You're quite good at it!- 782 replies

[MOC] RC Feller-Buncher
captainmib replied to timslegos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What a nice looking and good functioning model! Wow! Really looks fun on the video and that drive train looks really cool. I like the use of gears that way. -
Here is a question i haven't seen answered: IS this a true technic set? Apart from the driving it doenst have any functions. Blackbird says its a great toy, and i'm sure it is, but is it technically challenging? Are the axles providing enough build fun, since it's the most complicated part of the build. Maybe i'm whining, but i just like complicated sets with nice functionality. I hope someone can answer this: why should you buy it? ------------------------------------ Edit - btw thanks for all the pictures and review!

Well, this set looks fantastic. And i'm just a technic fan. Which leeds to my question: Since i own the Unimog (which has around 2000 pieces) how does this set get that count? Can someone explain? And as mentioned before, this really looks like the top of the bill for the weird monster hunters theme (weird in my eyes that is) It feels so because it doesnt have any weird launching madness or playability - which I don't mind. I would almost buy it... Ps. is the video private for everyone, or am i in the wrong place (europe)

Thanks for this picture intense review! The time this set came out i entered my dark ages. I remember the pictures of this set, but never really saw it well. So thank you for this nice review. I agree with Zblj (you have a hard to spell name dude(?)) Futuristic, standing out from the crowd. If there are people around here that have more of these old, but nice sets, please do a review!
