I do get your points. I personally prefer cars over technical machinery, but I do believe that Lego should go back to something like Racers theme and not make technic all about cars. -
I know we’ve been debating how technic is getting much less technical, but I think the upside of this current trend is the brilliant technical solutions are getting infused in other themes and other sets

I fully agree Lego needs to move up to the wider rear tires, especially considering we probably will get a lot more of these F1 large scale cars due to their collaboration with F1, two new teams joining in 26 Audi and Cadillac and due to new regulations the look and feel and the overall shape of the F1 cars changing in 2026 season

I think the purpose of these F1 models, especially as F1 is more and more popular globally, and in US is to expand the audience and customer base for Lego. Most of us are already committed customers just being on this forum. I personally am a big fan of F1 and like current direction.

For 2025 to have F1 theme across multiple lego themes makes sense to me as it marks 75th anniversary of Formula One and the sport is getting more and more popular.

good point. @Salix Looking at Brickset (excluding polybags) 2020 - 7 cars (2 double packs and 3 singles) 2021 - 9 cars (3 double packs and 3 singles) 2022 - 9 cars (2 double packs and 5 singles) 2023 - 6 cars (1 double pack and 4 singles) 2024 - 10 cars (3 double packs and 4 singles) + 2 additional ones if August rumors are true

If those rumors are correct, this would be a big increase in number of sets in 2024 versus 2023
