  1. Promising design so far,the cabin looks really nice. Although the heritage from the R9800 can't be unseen :-P
  2. This clearly doesn't look like portal axles as the drive shaft is on the same height as the drive axles...
  3. Do you have a source? As far as I know, Lego is a anxious about using Li batteries, as there still is a change (heavy usage/damage during play) that these things set off. Such a case would be a nail in a coffin for a company selling kid's toys.
  4. I find the solution Lego has done very neat and way more usable than the old battery box. You have axle holes on the side and a pin hole on top. It practically is a rocker switch, just with connection ports :-)
  5. Don't loose track, Jorge! We need you for further MOCs of heavy machinery :-)
  6. My guess would be, there actually are two half-bevel gears driving each side with different rotational direction. We can only see the 4L axle with center stop in tan, the other axle we don't see is a 3L in grey or yellow, hidden by the rear facing bevel.
  7. But what for? Also on the package, there are 3 Motors: - horizontal for steering - XL for driving - L for tipping of dump bed I am really confused by this gearbox Also this may be the reason why Lego could not include a proper suspension. Edit: Idea! - horizontal for steering - XL for driving OR tipping of dump bed - L for control switch
  8. It's like a double pendular I am really disappointed if they do not include a proper suspension, this would really uplift my will to buy this thing. In the pic from @Bartybum it looks like no suspension at all... I mean, how hard can it be in a model of that scale...?
  9. Just an idea: Would a belt tension arm (with a soft shock absorber) work here? It would keep the belt centered and also correct certain slipping. Normally it's not needed as the belt length should stay the same regardless of the ratio, but for this construction it's maybe helpful.
  10. It is especially strange since the Lambo, Ducati, Bell Osprey (and the Liebherr) are all in the catalogue with their precise designation...
  11. Actually it looks better in those pics, thx @Timorzelorzworz Still it's missing the tailgate ;-)
  12. Thank @Timorzelorzworz & @AVCampos ! That actually is a good addition to the current lineup. Will also be useful for turntables...
  13. He is not the only one liking Control+, but there are lots of improvemente to be made till we really get a system to work with. But TLG has tons of possibilities here, they just take their time (as always). Back to topic: Appart from the design, does the horizontal motor have extra torque compared to XL-motors, or is it just the 90° angle of the axle connector?
  14. Great work, this really could have been an A-Model! Do you have enough parts left to connect the steering also to the second axle? Would be even cooler I think, but maybe difficult as there is not much room left... :-)
  15. Hmm my guess is, the whole drum is just driven by the handcrank on the side and there is no connection to the wheels... at least from the rear view both arrows indicate this.
  16. Was just about to write the same, although you can see at least one liftarm is supporting the wing and connecting it to the hull. The wings itself maybe could be stiffened by using technic bricks instead of liftarms as the wings only have a thickness of 2 studs...
  17. Whoa... *mindblown* With the Lambo, there are also no (or very few) visible blue pins. This surely is on purpose, and very much appreciated :-) The whole front somehow reminds me of Appa, where the gaps are the teeth. Yip Yip!
  18. Great alternative set! Now, Liebherr only has to start building Snow Groomers How many parts did you use, or better speaking, how many are left of this set? Maybe there are enough parts left to do a ski lift pole with one gondola just in the same size as the model?
  19. This would also be my guess. We can see the XL-Motor in the center (with stickers on it?). It should be a little bit offset to one side to let the drivetrain pass through. It seems like there is a black axle 1 stud above the center tilting mechanism, just on the lower left of the red circle. I think Lego have not implemented the complex suspension but a rather easy swing-arm for each twin wheels. No suspension would be an instand no-buy-argument for me
  20. I am really disappointed about the drum. They could at least make 2 different molds like a conical half and a piece like a half-pipe which fits into each other (so the whole drum would consist out of 6 pieces instead of 2). As I said in the Lambo thread: But the reusability of these molds are nearly zero. Maybe as a Blimp or something...
  21. Thanks for the Link! :-) It's kind of ironic to watch the Episode 10 where Markus Kossmann talks about creating new Lego elements. At around 5:00 he says "We have to be careful, that it (the new piece) does look like lego... If it's too spacy or too round, then it's not a lego element..." Guess who is the designer of the 42113 concrete mixer...?
  22. I am not quite sure why they didn't fill the gap on the front next to the nose with a 2l liftarm...?
  23. Definitely! I just discovered the Super Truck Racing series, where similar vehicles are used for racing. This thing with a Smart Hub and these wheels. 1 L-Motor for steering, 3 L-Motors for driving of rear axle, directly as possible. Bam.
