  1. I use to have a Datsun 260z and if your MOC have a fake leather boot over the shifter.. I would think that you are spot on.. Great job @MangaNOID
  2. Your car looks BOSS!!!! great job and it reminds me of the early 90's Ford mustangs!!!
  3. Good question!! It depends on the target audience.. rebrickable vs bricklink vs Lego all have different standards .. therefore different programs to print instructions goes down to the most popular!!! LDD..... ??!!
  4. Hummmm.. first of all if the model don't have a neutral switch so you can push the model by hand, Push it by hand, you can feel the resistance if you built the model to tight.. If there is no neutral switch, the first step is to remove the PF motors and reconnect the PF cables and battery to IR element and the motors to IR element/receiver on the table or workbench and make sure your batteries are good in the joystick and battery pack.. when you turn it on , the IR element would blink and when you move the joystick, you'll see the leds lights in the IR element blink. there are switches on the IR element and the joystick and make sure the switches are on 1 or A on both parts .. there are 4 channels so you must make sure the joystick/controller and IR receiver are on the same channels..
  5. Here are some more mods and ideas to share for the Lego set 8081... You can upgrade the V4 fake engine to a V-6 without any issues and a 2 speed transmission I've posted on this thread a few pages back.. check them out if you're a 8081 fan!!! and I also added a few kingpin inclined and positive castor suspensions WIP ideas .. feel free to expand your ideas on the Lego 8081 set!!!
  6. How about the Medium size motors?? These Powered up motors are also don't make any since!! The one without the encoder is small and haves a lighter weight but the performance is bad if you compared it to the other M motor with the encoder. The one with the encoder seems to have performance very similar to my PF based Large motor !!!! https://flic.kr/p/2hx4qar Lego technic Control + motors by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr
  7. i would like to share this youtube video with my MOC with 2 x XL motors and a the AA Lego battery box. The MOC is based of from the Lego set 8273 Off road truck with a bit of modernization.. It is small truck scaled smaller then the Lego 42093 Corvette so the performance is very good with the 2 x XL motors...
  8. At my employment, some folks tried to push the (paperless office environment) and I liked the idea.. but some customers preferred a paper signature instead of a digital signature.. With solar power and recycle of materials in California and there is a new state law to ban plastics straws!! , I'm hoping they would push a law to have a paperless office required in all digital or tech related business .. its not required to go paperless ..yet!!!
  9. From my own experience with the PF motors, 2 x XL motors vs 4 L motors comes down to if you need speed (4 L motors) if your model is light enough or torque (2 x XL motors) if you planned to haul heavy loads!!
  10. Wow!!! I had to search on your picture to find any technics elements and I see 4 blue color axles pins!!!! Great job!! One of the Best Semi-truck of this year!!
  11. @Zerobricks I've done a mod of your transmission and I don't own any of the Rotary catches, but I was just curious if the element rotary catches would slide the non friction red color 8 tooth gear on the output axle to engage and disengage to the 24 tooth gear?? ?? here is an example i've built but just a wip!! Technic Changeover Rotary Catch Item No: 35188 Orange▼ Color Images Large Images
  12. I've found the instructions and it shows a few configurations.. The problem is its only 4.8 volts output or add an amplifier that adds up to 7.2 volts?? I don't know if 4.8 volts can drive a M size motor?? Here is a link to the pdf file https://www.graupner.de/mediaroot/files/4713_X_412FM_de_en_fr.pdf
  13. @Zerobricks i have a question that would be helpful what is Suspended pendular front suspension ?? is that the default front suspension on the 8081? or is it something better?? thanks
  14. Well, I've said this before and a few users didn't like what I said. Either, they're different grades of Lego technics or sugar cane elements are starting to come in!! I believe the different grades are learning process till all are using the same molds and process.. I believe sugar cane based is coming in soon and it should fix the quality issues .. and also has anyone tried to use the 20 t black color gears and did it have any gears skipping or improper fit?? I've been using the black colored gears for as while and have not noticed any performance issues..
  15. another 2 speed transmission with center diff. lock
  16. Well I only haves sets that are from the last year or newer and so I don't have any old gears to refer from but currently the Tan gears are a bit taller then the black color gear.. I wonder if the older black gear are any bigger??? This brings a new twist in building and designing https://www.flickr.com/photos/23813430@N07/43651672695/
  17. Here is an easy 2 speed transmission for any 8081 AWD mods!!! Using the new 20 tooth gear for hi gear and a 1:1 low gear .
  18. You need a scale that can weigh 0.001 of a gram would be good enough and maybe there is a difference in weight.. you can compare it to my database ..
  19. If you can weigh them on a scale .. report the difference !!! but make sure the gears are brand new and not worn out when you weigh them!!!
  20. 1:3 gear ratio ....!! plus 6 L motors on the drive shaft = Fast!!! Can't wait to see the video!!!
  21. I don't think my mod can be any more ugly then it was.. Introducing the all brand new .. The year of 2020 .... The Lego 8081 PUG S.U.V .. !!!!
  22. Here is a few pictures of LPE power steering solution I end up changing the design a bit since I didn't have the newer cv-joints .. i used an u-joint and shorten the width to 11 wide.. What I do like about this design is how the axle spring back to the stationary position after you bend it back .. I got a video to share ..Im surprised how plastics can spring back and forth without breaking it!!!
  23. @HorcikDesigns thank you and I got to learn to use the fenders and it blends with the hood and the rest of the truck. too bad its only available in 3 colors :( I really think the fenders makes a big step forward towards to the Lego set 8081!!!) My current chassis is 4 wheel independent suspension with 3 diffs..!!! on a 13 wide wheel to wheel !! ..I really liked your first truck design !!! @HorcikDesigns My current SUV is based off from yours!! Even if you have the medical condition called Trypophobia, you'll feel safe with my MOC !!! Technic, Panel Car Mudguard Arched 9 x 2 x 3 Item No: 42531 Orange▼ Color Images Large Images
