@johnnym, they're a few terms, like push bar and roll bars and guards ... push bars are built with strength in mind, provides protection from debris and the ability to push a vehicle if your push bar is mounted from the frame of your truck and the tubular shape increase the strength and they are usual round tubes in length ( roll bars) . . a bush guard is a roll bar also but its only mounted from the bumper of the vehicle so it only provides protection to lights and grille , its ( defensive ) towards FOD and since its not frame mounted , don't dare to push any vehicles. so a proper roll bars setup would be frame mounted tubular shape setup over the front and rear cap of the vehicle. .. bumper mounted roll bars are mostly cosmetic .. and lacks authentic.

Thank you @LegoTT The open differential design is important.. The gearing is at .51 ratio so its almost 2 times geared down and i believe its perfect. the open differential is the cause of the slippage but I do want that to happen.. why? well the center diff gave the model the ability to stop when the model for example was heading towards to you and it hits your foot.. its a fail safe system for safety , you can climb any obstacle with the open diff design if you approach the object at a certain angle.. on my video, the items that it was trying to climb was on glass and it cause the objects to slip out to make the climb a bit more challenging'.. if you locked the diff.. then it would climb anything but then it would not be as fun because it would be to easy.. The steering is very quick which cause to over steer but it is design originally to be a high speed model and have a quick turning steering was required.. im designing this model to be used as a display and modded for different styles of trucks or to be RC controlled with easy to add motor mounts and yes , you can fit bigger tires , up yo 81mm so far .. i dont think you can fit any bigger , unless you stretched out the unibody...its a unibody design and the element 5x7 , 5x11 frames are for decorative and side walls support so stretching would required a redesign . ill try to make a few adjustments to the steering if I can fit it into its tiny space.. .. here is a few more updated pictures.. truckbody_6 by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr gurney by victormendoza_jr, on Flic Lego technic mini trucks by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr

[MOC] Orange Pumpkin
sirslayer replied to Oliver 79's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Oliver 79 the body style is almost the same as mine!!! at least you have good taste !!! here is a few links to the original design https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/170079-8081-extreme-cruiser-mods-and-improvements/&page=4 -
@Jurss I know you've seen the start of this design and check out the finished chassis!! 8x8x8 with mini turntables between each 5x7 with Ackerman steering on a virtual king pin inclination !!! Riding on the small 49.5mm tires and a motorized version is almost done . The suspension is pure pendular and the motorized version will feature dual live axles and it moves like a snake. .. lego technic by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr

RC Buggy Motor
sirslayer replied to Clawp's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Tazmancrash When you buy the receiver , you have to buy the joystick that comes with it. The issue is there are a few China businesses that use their own 2.4ghz protocol and its not compatable to Lego's or even Lepin own 2.4ghz protocol. So its best when you purchase a receiver and purchase the joystick at the same time or you will run into problems.. The Lego battery AA case always worked on any China's motors and even Cada (china) latest offerings are for Cada receivers and controllers only for one example so just stay away from them!! .. I haven't tested a Lego IR ver1 receiver with the monster motor but the monster motor do run very good if you just hooked up to the Lego battery case only.. I would recommend a good AA batteries like I have mentioned before to get Buwizz like performance at half the cost !!! -
RC Buggy Motor
sirslayer replied to Clawp's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@iLego The receiver is from China and its a clone of the IR ver1 by Lego and the clone ($10 USD with joystick) sports a wifi 2.4ghz with long range and the power is almost the equivalent to ver2 IR from Lego or maybe even better is the AA battery box is from Lego with a mix of rechargeable (on your own risk) Nizn 1.8 volts AA batteries that punch fast and 1.5 volts Lithium AA batteries for endurance. The 1.8 volts x 6 = 10.8volts is close to buwizz 11.1 volts so you'll get awesome performance... -
@1980SomethingSpaceGuy That is a cool bike design you made!!! I'm not able to find or download part 62519!!! Do you have a bent u-joint render in a .IO file format that you can share??? and I did manage to fix my pistons on my files and after looking at your engine.. Wow, that must of took some time!! Thank you....

Cool !! I love those china's buggy motors!!! I got myself 4 of them for only $60 USD .. and the performance is good enough where you can use your Lego battery box!!! Check out how fast my mini truck with live axle suspension and the China's Monster motor!! -
Well after a long fought battle, the turntable is the best and compact solution for a mini 4x4x4 chassis and I'll provide a few ideas to improve and the outcome.. First of all, I had an idea of using the rubber flex hose/tubes and create a stitch between the 5x7 frame element with an axle and protective bushing using the flex tubes. I like how the tubes held it together and it can be used as suspension at the same time but if you compared it to the mini- turntable solution,.. The turntable s really reliable and very compact.. I like how the body can almost do a 180 degree turn before the steering gets binded up.. Wow!!! [WIP] Space Shuttle
sirslayer replied to Jeroen Ottens's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Jeroen Ottens I have done 5 different variants of the shuttle and all were based from the original Rockwell International space shuttle from the 80's .. this one I'm posting is from the Lego ideas contest of last year .. Cargo bay doors open and a crane inside is mounted toward the rear. I've included canards and a airlock from the cockpit to cargo bay Lego Technic Space Shuttles by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr -

i love it!!!! Now, I need to finish mine!!! -
@dhc6twinotter thank you for your feedback, no, I haven't built it yet in real life, but I've done a similar setup without the suspension on a modified 42068 (that's where I got the steering idea from :) (suspension is based from my last real build Black Widow 8081 mod) 1.The center drive shaft on this render was original meant for the pendular suspension setup and it evolved into this design and it lacks the center mount and an I beam under the frame to connect the two 5x7..( i didn't know what was snipe mounting requirement to body so I left it empty) next update 2. The render doesn't show the front and rear mount , connects with u-joint between modules (unknown requirements from snipe, I assume its for the lego set 42108) easy fix once the mode of transportation is establish, next update 3. Good point, can be fixed from real build (I need to build it in real life and easy fix) next update 4.It's a good idea and you're correct, 2nd platform is on backward (easy fix on next update) Update: I can easily slip a small turntable is between the 5x7!!! and flip the steering level to the opposite side to keep the current steering link ill figure it out :)

@SNIPE You didn't say you wanted a live axle .. well feast your eyes on this .. this module can be chain together for a 8x8x8 or 12x12x12 chassis configuration and each module features 4x4x4 ackermann steering with king pin inclination, live axle spring suspension riding on 49.5mm tires. you can move the spring setup over the tires if you need room or you can remove the springs and wishbone setup and it becomes a low profile pendular suspension.. if requested , ill setup a download link at Bricklink and yes, its an all original design by me!! 4x4x4real_3 by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr lego technic 4x4x4 steering suspension by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr lego technic 4x4x4 steering suspension by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr
