  1. Gosh I really hope not, unless they have another wave later. Just seems like such a small offering. I do so like the SC sets, such fun little cheap builds and plenty of stickers.
  2. Respectfully though nothing you wrote has anything at all to do with the topic. Actually I am glad they are starting with the Master Builder's line, it keeps people from saying it's not a worthy UCS set also they can have more of these bigger playsets without burning up UCS slots. Really looking forward to the next one.
  3. Exactly, it's called advertising, just with a different twist. Not at all uncommon for a multi-billion dollar company to spend insane amounts of money on advertising, it's quite shocking actually. One would have to wonder how much a Red Bull or Budweiser would cost if they didn't spend astronomical amounts sponsoring race cars and whatnot or advertise at all.
  4. I will say, it is starting to look much better, so keep it up, wish I had some worthwhile build advice to help you out though.
  5. It's not really a Virus more like Malware, it's a redirect much like the one I had problems with earlier this year here on EB. Just phishing for personal information. Been around awhile just never posts.
  6. @Jon61 yes I clicked on the PF pack and in the description it said power your MOGO sets with this MOGO power functions kit.
  7. Strange they have so many retired sets as well and they show pictures of boxes that say LEGO but when they describe the sets they are MOGO, as has already been mentioned. Plus that amicus portfolio started selling in 2015 and ceased operations in 2016. All around weird, I did try to buy something but stopped at the information gathering stage, which seems like what they are really after.
  8. Also there is a topic on this amazing creation over in the Technic sub-forum, in case anyone is interested.
  9. Amazingly huge piece of equipment for such a specialised purpose, should be really cool in Technic. At first I couldn't figure out how the operator could see what he was doing, then I watched a video. Unbelievable they ride with the bucket. Still can't get over how much there is to this thing, thanks for doing this.
  10. Looks great, very large as well, really like the way the cockpit part turned out. Is it just me or do those wings bow a bit do to deflection?
  11. I've not seen the movie yet either so that aspect is not something I can speak to, I guess it will be like that Heavy Assault Walker thing then, a set no one wants at any price. Still seems like it was a decent value though, that was the only reason I even bought it, as I have not really been buying very many Star Wars sets lately, just seem overpriced for what you get anymore, especially when like me, you don't really care about or collect minifigures.
  12. How elegantly simple, at first I thought what the hey, then after seeing pictures of the real thing, I thought spot on perfect for such a very small build.
  13. Neat and clean, looks pretty good, just curious, why awful towers?
  14. Yes same as all Star Wars sets, actually though this one is a decent value, at $39.99 it has almost 100 more parts than the cantina set for the same price or 30 parts less than the throne room set for $30 less at $69.99. Or about 8.6 cents a piece, even less with a discount, also it does have some weight to as well, really can't get a much better price per piece with Star Wars. I think what puts most people off is it's looks, but it is actually not a bad build experience.
  15. Cool, reminds me of the old Wacky Racers. That thing looks like it can really haul ice.
  16. It does have quite a few not so common parts, nothing really rare, still think it's a good parts set though if you can get it at a discount. Lots of slopes in both greys and a few tans, several 1x3 plates with off-set studs on top, semi rare dark grey technic connectors also quite a few studded technic beams, a couple dogbones. I think what I most like about this set is the build, kind of interesting how they achieve the plain brick shape and that it mostly has bigger more useful pieces instead of a boatload of tiny pieces like most sets seem to contain anymore. Hate to say it but I do like this set.
  17. Appreciate the review, it's always nice to read a proper review although I would have liked to have seen some attention devoted to the part selection. I do realize there aren't really any special parts but there are some decent ones that I found to be useful in other models, always like hearing about them. I do agree this set is pricey fortunately I got a 15% discount from a price match. I actually like this set for some strange reason I mean it is basically a grey brick, I still enjoyed the build and like you said it gives Han's speeder a companion. I will probably end up getting a second one when it goes on sale just for the parts.
  18. Ah okay of course you are right, I apologize to everyone. I think now I will just log out for a couple of weeks, seems I can't say anything agreeable anymore and that's not why I am here.
  19. I think you can, if it's bad say it. Otherwise you will be basically saying if you don't have something good to add don't post anything which pretty much means you are censoring posts to only allow praise, sorry but that is not how the world works at least not the one I live in.
  20. To me it is very important to enjoy what I am building, sometimes it's proper scale other times it's correct functions, nothing is chiselled in stone, for me as far as building goes just have fun damn-it. Quite frankly I could care less what anyone else thinks of it but it is cool when you can actually impress someone else. Having said that I do think if you post a moc and call it by a specific name it should bear at least a slight resemblance to what it is supposed to be and you should welcome criticism to improve it since that is the obvious goal. I think sometimes some people are a bit thin skinned though and take it as an insult if you don't like what they have done. Seems like they just want thier ego stroked and they seem to strive only for recognition. I blame it all on the way society is now, like making the kids play football but not keeping score, don't want to hurt the losers feelings.
  21. I think a good place to start would be to see what it is going for at Brinklink, that should give you a good idea of what you could expect to get for it. Best of luck I know how hard it can be to part with such things.
  22. While it doesn't look much like a mini to me, more like a lowered jeepster, take it apart and try again probably isn't necessary. I do think it should be changed considerably really couldn't say where to start, definitely the fenders and front grill could use a do over. That does look like an interesting suspension setup on the rear axle, like to see more of it. Underside picture would be nice.
  23. Funny I actually find all the leak speculation and rumor mongering to be quite boring along with Minifigure wishes. I liked it more when people would critique the actual build speak of the good and bad aspects and offer up worthwhile mod information. Lately it all just seems to be sniping one another complaining about prices and accusing LEGO of dropping the ball and being lazy.
  24. This is what i would really like to see as well.
  25. Very interesting, never thought about it before, are those ink pens actually brick colors?
