  1. Looks really cool and I think you have done a good job for a concept type piece of equipment but it would not be very good in real world applications for several obvious reasons. I really do like this moc though and might even attempt a similar project, great idea.
  2. Not sure but I think I saw these the other day at the LEGO store, they are totally different, like that fold out play mat thing all smooth except for studs at key connection points with printed vegetation and paved roads on one side, the flip side with dirt looking roads. They seem to be thicker as well, not like a base plate either. They are so much different in fact I feel sure they will still have the other ones still available as the new ones appear to be aimed at a younger audience. They just wouldn't work well with a modular style city layout like most people seem to like, no studs to attach stuff to.
  3. I very much like my smooth white non-reflective laminate surface with dark wood border kitchen table, it's my favorite especially when it has a couple thousand LEGO pieces on it. I also like to have a smaller TV tray/table next to me for instructions and or built up modules.
  4. Would be funny if Shuttle Transporter had nothing at all to do with Space Shuttle and was just some kind of bus, like parking lot to terminal transporter at the airport.
  5. Just to cause you untold grief. Glad to see the Praetorian Battle Pack, didn't really want to buy multiple Throne Room sets to get a few.
  6. Yes recycling truck in 2012 but we also got a garbage truck in 2016, so to me it seems more likely for an updated recycling truck. Either way I just hope they do it some justice this time around.
  7. Turned out really well for a quick throw together idea. I like the bulky look of the armour plating and front wheels that actually turn is a real bonus.
  8. This year will be "special" that's why I say 5 small sets.
  9. Came across one of these a few days ago while rifling through my parts, couldn't remember where it came from or what good it was, thanks to this thread I now remember it was a trigger mechanism from Jynn Erso's gun.
  10. I do love the Great Vehicles, I generally get them all. I do think the garbage truck would be better represented as a recycling truck though.
  11. Dem bones, dem bones, oh what a superb creation, LEGO couldn't do better themselves. Just in time for a Halloween display too, great job. I dare say this should be an IDEA submission.
  12. I predict 5 small sets, 1 medium set and 1 large set. Very much looking forward to this next season as they will be available at Target so I will actually be able to get them at a more economical price. Unlike TRU where sale price equals TLG regular price.
  13. 10211 Grand Emporium, is a department store building, very nice.
  14. So this is still happening? Seems a little odd since we just got 40291 a short time ago, which in my opinion was a better looking set.
  15. That ought to really piss off a lot of resellers. I guess it's an okay set kind of blah to me though for that kind of money. Will be interesting to see if they update it any or use all the original parts, I would like to have a few of them. Wonder how much it will be costing as well.
  16. Like maybe the Pirate Roller Coaster or one of the other two builds.
  17. The new UCS Millennium Falcon of course.
  18. @vermontcathy sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience with breaking pieces, again with the Reddish-Brown and Dark Red, starting to notice a pattern here. You were quite lucky that LEGO sent replacements for such an old set, you must have been very persuasive. Since you have got the replacement pieces, I was curious if you have had any issues with the new parts, supposedly they have remedied the situation, however I am still a bit sceptical. I personally have had no issues with breakage at all with any color.
  19. Yes 31076 Daredevil Stunt Plane, it was so bad I actually swapped out pieces with one's in my bins.
  20. Yes actually it's Norfolk & Way from a comedy bit a couple of popular radio personalitys used to do years ago here locally, Indianapolis. I have changed it a few different ways, Norfolk & Whey or North Fork over the years, still funny to my juvenile sense of humor after all these decades. It's all about how you say it.
  21. North Fork & Way, has always been mine goes way back to Railroad Tycoon games.
  22. Ah okay thanks for clearing that up, just kept seeing the word rumor next to his name. I was hoping there was some actual truth to it.
  23. I notice shading difference quite often, most recently with that stunt bi-plane on the 2x4 red slope pieces on the leading edge of the wings. It was very significant. Also seems to happen with the yellows and blues a lot.
  24. The same could be said for quoting pictures.
  25. I thought Mad Hatter was just wishful speculation, when did it become an actual rumor?
