  1. Well, very good job. I really hope you take the cup down now... Good luck!
  2. This is by far the most convincing minifigure display I have seen. Very nice job.
  3. Your models are amazing. This car is so recognizable.
  4. Hi all! Tomorrow is the big game for us. I am of Belgian nationality and my wife is Argentinean. This needed to be celebrated by creating a small vignette. GO BELGIUM!
  5. That s a great MOC. I would have also ventured to say that the officers were not in the front line as depicted in that vignette (not sure we can call it a vignette). I really like every MOCs that are focused on union soldiers, I hope to see more from you.
  6. I usually keep just my latest MOC and break down all older MOCs for three reasons: 1. I do not have much display space 2. I do not want to be limited part-wise when I build a new MOC. I want to use my resources to the maximum 3. I truly love sorting bricks (I know this is weird)
  7. Thanks Godtshep. That's indeed the idea. I am right now working on a stair as I think it should be on two floors. The facade will be the last module I will work on.
  8. This is such an incredible MOC. I think the builder found the exact figure configuration that was needed. The roof technique is so perfect. I think some bricklink stores will receive large orders.
  9. EDIT: New update in Post #22 Casino PS ---------------------- Hello Everyone, This the first time that I am trying my hands at a MOC which is "Lego Town" related. This means that any of your advices would be very appreciated. For this first time, I figured it would be nice to do something which has not been explored that much: a Casino. Such building is quite interresting as there are many interior features that can be made. As I am working on a limited space, I have to divide the build into sections. This is good news as it means that I can share my progress with you. So far, the Casino is populated only by its personnel. The Slot Machine area (+ a Black Jack Table): The Table area (BlackJack, Roulette, Craps) The Bar (No the barman is not drinking): Thanks in advance for your comments
  10. The new style horses. I find it cool as I thouht such item would typically be with the minifigs.
  11. Went to the London Bluewater store. At first sight, there was nothing interresting, then I saw brown horses!!! It is tricky to fill a cup with these. I think I mananaged to include a dozen of those. Other pieces I took: 2x4 plate purple, 2x4 plate azure, 2x6 pink plate, transparent cheese slope. All in all, I was really surprised to see these horses.
  12. I went for the first time to the Lille (France) store as I was in between two trains and I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised by the haul I got. For the first time in a long time, I purchased several cups (2 large/1 small). I did not pack them tightly due to time constraints but here is what I got: 20140619_200529 by Kinggregus, on Flickr Also, the staff was super nice. Will definitely go again.
  13. You forgot to apply the stickers!!! Seriously, this is an impressive job :)
  14. Agreed, that would be a fun one.
  15. Excellent Review Rufus. This set largely met my expectations. The only reason I did not give the "Outstanding" rating is due to the number of stickers. I think some stickers could have easily been replaced by printed parts, especially for a set of this size. I am under the impression this set will be a real best seller. Do you know if it is a Lego exclusive or whether it will be available in retail?
  16. Amazing!!!! Not only did I learn a lot but I also really enjoy the building. It is amazing how we can see such a perfect evolution. You have also taken some amazing pictures. Truly fantastic building!
  17. I really like this set. It will look fantastic under a Christmas tree and once Christmas is over, I will be able to use the amazing selection of pieces for new MOCs.I am actually quite pleased to see the dears being brick-build. That way, I could use the pieces for some other purposes when Christmas is over. Can anyone tell me if the deers are tan or dark-tan? What about the house?
  18. The landscape is terrific. The hill looks really natural. Thanks a lot for sharing this fantastic build.
  19. Never have there been a year I was so eager to see sets being released. Parisian Restaurat, Benny's Spaceship and Ghostbusters are three sets to buy on day 1. Interestingly, this is the first year there is no theme/line that particularly interest me.
  20. Category A: 18 - 1 point 19 - 1 point 17 - 1 point 4 - 1 point Category B: 3 - 1 point 1 - 1 point 17 - 1 point 19 - 1 point
  21. Hello Everyone, I would like to make some customs transparent stickers that would eventually fit a 1x4x3 frame. I was wondering if any of you had experience making such stickers? As I do not have a printer, I would ideally like to use the service of a third party. Have you used the services of a company that does this? When looking on the internet, it seems a lot of companies require an absurd minimum quantity. In the end, I would not need to order a huge amount. Thank you very much,
  22. I am really impressed. You have made the best use of the new parts available. It is stunning how the set, which was really good, got even better. Seeing this set makes me really nostalgic.
  23. But what is the police doing letting him fly alone?
  24. I am a proud owner of all of them :) I think they were the sets that really got me back into Lego and convinced me that Lego was for adults as well. Before that I was purchasing small sets just for fun. I remember lurking on the lego site on a daily basis for quite a while before deciding to make the move and buy cafe corner, market street and green grocer all at once. Since then, I am hooked. 25. Very interresting topic. I am very curious to hear the feedbacks that will come. I do not use the 2x2 brick that much. The element I use the most is either the 1x2 brick or the 1x4 brick. The element I use the most proportionnaly to my collection is probably the 1x1 brick with a stud on the side. In terms of color, the feedback will probably vary a lot according to theme of interrest of the respondant. Personnaly, I use a lot grey and tan.
