  1. Sorry for not responding earlier. As I am not the one taking the picture and I had been away for a long while, I could not really respond adequately. First and foremost, thank you very much for all the praises, this is really encouraging, as I am just starting MOCing again. For those who wanted more details about how the tents are made, here are some close up pictures. The build of these is fairly straightforward. 2. Hello Everyone, Let me share with you my latest MOC. I could not find a better name than Market Street. I have purchased recently a couple of Prince of Persia sets, and really enjoyed the building. I figured I could use them to make a nice street. The whole street is made of three modular sections. My wife took the pictures. I have to admit that it was quite hard for her to get a nice view of the entire street. Market Street - All by Kinggregus, on Flickr Luckily, my wife took some close up pictures, here is the left wing: Market - West by Kinggregus, on Flickr Close up of the main gate: Front Gate by Kinggregus, on Flickr Close up of the right wing (unfortunately the fountain, which I am quite proud of, does not show really well): Market - East by Kinggregus, on Flickr And now, the back of the right wing. The library has a secret shelf that leads right into the treasure room: Library + Treasure Room by Kinggregus, on Flickr The back of the main gate, nothing exceptionnal: Front Gate - Back by Kinggregus, on Flickr The back of the left wing, it includes a cave, a stair and the armory room: Armory + Cave by Kinggregus, on Flickr Thanks for looking,
  3. Nice contest. Would it be possible to link me to the tires used in the sample model shown?
  4. I knew that when I saw you two were joining force, we were due for something great. However, I really did not expect something as exceptional as that! I really want to build some pirate MOCs after seeing this.
  5. 2014 is the most interresting year Lego wise for me. On one hand, I have never seen such a large offer, but on the other, I do not feel attracted to many sets this year. As a result, I have purchased mostly discountinued sets.It was the good opportunity to get these camels and ostrichs from Prince of Persia. That being said, I am amongst those that believe this will be Lego's biggest year. I am sure that the Lego movie will boost sales results. But as others have said, biggest year does not mean best... At least, it is highly subjective.
  6. I am so nostalgic. This is my dream base. I really like the way you made each piece fit with each other.
  7. Service in Lego shops is usually great. The only issue I have is that staff is usually reluctant to let me know if they have other parts not on the PAB wall. In terms of wrapping, some employees occasionally go the extra mile and wrap the PAB box in an individual bag; that way, there is no chances that pieces fall out.
  8. What you did is super cool. I am sure you had a great time with your kids.
  9. The age range is probably the silliest decision form the Lego group. They have very little to gain but so much to loose by putting an age limit. As a kid, I stopped playing Lego specifically because of the age limit despite still loving them. I vividly remember my parents telling me to move to something else at some points because I was above the age limit.
  10. Initially, when I restarted buying Legos I was keeping all my boxes and was keeping my sets in these. However, after moving places, I figures there was really no use in keeping these boxes and they were taking a lot of place. In fact, I already find it difficult to find place to store my bricks, I am glad I do not have to worry about the boxes. I also fail to understand the value of boxes, If I am purchasing a set second hand, I am buying it either for its display value or its bricks, certainly not for the box. Moreover, a lego box is in most instance already damaged when you open it (It is not like a shoe box).
  11. Lasse, When I saw that you posted something, I had to jump on it. This is most impressive as usual. What a great team work. Congrats!
  12. Your move seem to have been quite an adventure. Sorry for asking, but I am wondering what is the reason you have so many unopened sets?
  13. Congrats for making it to the Brothers-Brick! This is really well deserved.
  14. I find it interesting to see all the praise about this set. I know for sure that my wife would never let me buy this one or would find it ridiculous. As a matter of fact, she tolerates my display of the modular houses, grand carousel, taj mahal, etc... but if I was to buy this one, I am 90% sure she will never allow me to display it. I am waiting to see the parts the set includes but at first sight, only the gold piece interest me. I have enough brown and I rarely use the Technic pieces.
  15. This will be my first CUSOO purchase, and what a purchase.... The design seems to be simply astonishing. I would not be surprised if this was to become a bestseller.
  16. Stunning!!! This is the first MOC I see on cars and this one surely did not disappoint! Did Omar helped you build it or was he the architect?
  17. I have to admit that I am going on Eurobricks to mostly see MOCs made by other and get some inspiration. While the majority of the sets I purchase are licensed, I am not building within that line. Within the licensed forum there are too many topics that are about speculating about future themes. I would actually like if there was a subsection dedicated to MoCs.
  18. This is such great news!
  19. Thanks Vee. I am amazed about the number of colors. I recently was very frustrated as I needed to buy a few bricks to qualify for the free delivery. I had not noticed that dark tan=sand yellow on the Lego shop. Moreover, the color on the website looked like tan so I ended buying some black and brown bricks which I do not really need. Had I seen your list or the peeron list, I would have been a happy man. Personally, I find the bricklink names to make much more sense.
  20. This is exactly my thought. You took every words out of my mouth.
  21. Another amazing review! I really like the way you present it and the quality of your pictures is astonishing. Thanks so much,
  22. Prezes, your review is amazing. I really appreciate your critical perception of the set.
  23. Hello Everyone, I am pleased to share with you the second MOC I ever made: The Union Soldiers Headquarters. PIctures courtesy of my wife: Main by Kinggregus, on Flickr The MOC was inspired by the comic strip "The Blue Coats" (In French; les Tuniques Bleues) and more specifically this picture: Les Tuniques Bleues by Kinggregus, on Flickr Here are two views from different angles: Back by Kinggregus, on Flickr Back 2 by Kinggregus, on Flickr This picture taken from above can prove to be more explicit in showing how the buildings are positionned. I learned how to make different angles. (picture courtesy of my wife who had to stand on a chair for this): Overview by Kinggregus, on Flickr Comments which would help me improve my next MOC are more than welcome. Thanks in advance
  24. I wish I would learn as you did. This is a truly awesome MOC. I really like the kingdoms sets....
