  2. In my mind, large container ships have containers of all sorts of color. Would it not be nicer, instead of using stickers, to have containers of different colors? Applying so many stickers looks more like a punishment than fun to me.
  3. I wonder who is the audience for this new ship. It seems to be too *messy* for adults but will be too expensive for kids. It also looks like none of the minifigs are exclusive in this set. I am however quite curious to see more pictures.
  4. I feel this set is missing some colors. The Movie set line is generally so colorful and for this one we get just some grey and black which is not really exciting, even for a small set. In the special pieces, I see that the set includes the new 45° angle piece which is a piece I look forward to have. Thanks a lot for this new review
  5. Thanks for the great review. I am sure this set will be really popular among kids. The car is fantastic. I understand that this set will not appeal AFOLs that much. However, there are plenty of sets for us to enjoy in 2014.
  6. This is such a great contest idea. Since the Pirate theme disappeared, this part of the forum is much less active. I think (hope) that the contest will give encourage TLG to bring back the pirate theme. The prize seems to be very generous and will surely be a nice incentives to competitors across the world. I really look forward to seeing the entries which will be, without doubt, amazing.
  7. These super heroes are sooo cool! You include some great details. My favorite so far is Captain America. I think they would have more visibility over the licensed theme forum, especially now that we have all these reviews of the Lego movie sets.
  8. As you say, great truck! I am curious to see how people will modify the alternate build to improve it!
  9. Great review. I am surprised about how good the wall looks. As for the pod, I find it so unbelievable. It looks like it is made of stone... I fail to see how it can fly.
  10. I have to say that I tend to like the set much more than the evil lair. I really look forward to using all these parts to create an actual saloon. I agree that the set itself looks like a massive mess, however, I have never seen a set with so much potential for modifications. As a matter of fact you can turn the set into a vehicle or a building... you decide.
  11. Deathleech, this is a great review you made. I particularly like the quality of the pictures. As for the set, I really like the color used. As you said it breaks the usual grey. The minifigs look great as well.
  12. This is the most original entry I have seen. The idea is great and I love the design of the Christmas tree.
  13. This looks great. I think however that you could already start building windows. The right side looks like a great start.
  14. Congratulation to the winners. The entries were amazing. Jim, I think you did an amazing job with this contest, from the preperation to it (by getting the community involved in the design of the contest) to the quality of the result page. While I am not a technic builder, I have been lurking the technic forum more than any other forums lately, simply because it has been so active.
  15. Thanks everyone for these extremely useful parenting advices. They are really appreciated. I'll probably get a simple Duplo set. The letter one mentioned by Gazumpty seems really nice.
  16. Hi everyone, I have a 7 month old daughter who starts to play (or lick) with all kinds of toys. I saw all these lovely Duplo Princess sets and would really like offering one of those for Christmas. However, the boxes specify that the starting age for the Duplo toys is 2 years old. Should I be waiting for next Christmas before initiating my daughter to Duplo? Thanks a lot
  17. I would actually like it a lot as well. Are there any places were we can currently identify which designer is behind which set?
  18. I own three unopened sets. These are sets that I had already bought and build, and thoughts were amazing. Initially I had bought second copies to use them for parts, but so far I have not needed them. Oh and the sets are Helm s deep, Uruk Hai army and Weather top.
  19. Great review! I feel really bad saying this but I have never seen a set as ugly as this one. The monochrome aspect of the set is far from appealing and using stickers to vary the color worsen the aspect of the set to me. The massive pieces do not even attract me to make it an interesting part set. Radagast looks fantastic though. Surprisingly, I like the statue a lot as well. I could see the figures become very pricy as the set is so unatractive. I may have been too spoiled lately as I have seen sets that were constantly better than the previous ones. Thus the disappointment.
  20. Thanks for the great review. I have to admit that I find the building outstanding as well. I may try to build it with my existing collection. In fact, I do not see any uncommon parts.
  21. This is incredible. I would love to see it in real life. Are you planning to do the train station as well?
  22. I was not aware that all the models in your signature were from one person. As incredible as it sounds, these are the ONLY projects I ever supported (together with the western modular). I am so disappointed none of them have yet reached the review stage. I would buy any of these models in a heartbeat. This last plane is so beautiful. Great job and thanks for sharing.
  23. I love going over the brothers brick. I am also quite found about classic castle. That being said, Eurobricks is to me the best place to discuss everything about Lego.
  24. I find it weird to have a cavalry set without horses....
