I know so many of these listing prices are possibly WAY off, but, I do wonder if this set might be a potential City/Town Square type set, perhaps themed for either the System's 60th anniversary or the original Town theme's 40th anniversary.

LEGO Ninjago 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Oh yes I did, but in my opinion, those guys look more like grunge, post-apocalyptic (think Mad Max) with a touch of Steampunk. Dieselpunk more veers either towards the brighter, more optimistic World Fair look of Decopunk, or toward the hyperbolic look of Weird WWII, an alternate historical genre. Psst, I'd remove that Instagram post if I were you, as it's technically a leaked image.- 2,384 replies

LEGO Ninjago 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
For a character? Or perhaps that's just the name of the battle rig? Nonetheless, that name makes me wonder if designers do have the Dieselpunk genre in mind when designing this wave, as some had suggested earlier.- 2,384 replies

LEGO Nexo Knights 2018

I see. So, based upon the fact that no inside sources are aware of any such wave, that therefore means it doesn't exist? Right?- 1,601 replies

LEGO Ninjago 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Brick Fanatics had an article about this being added to Brickset's database. Brickset - 70657 Ninjago City Docks Dieselnaut? Is that a newly invented word, or is it French for something? Some of those other set names are indeed in French, but this one at least has "Battle Vehicle" in English.- 2,384 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
A three story building does sound somewhat like a modular, but for a normal retail set, that possibly couldn't be, right? If this possible new part looks anything like the large, round window portrayed in the 2016 Dr. Strange set, I'd imagine it would be reused in Ninjago sets too, given its certain Oriental style.- 3,962 replies

Interesting, I do wonder if he heard/read that rumor elsewhere or if someone had personally confided that to him. From the link:

Those sound awfully pricey. But hey, I'm not complaining, perhaps there are extraordinary things in store.

Oh yes, I forgot about the Taj Mahal. Really? How can that be? We only had one already in 2015.

Normal sets? Do you mean that the other three sets we've been discussing are definitely a part of this amusement park subtheme? Or are you just presuming, based upon their names, that are part of this hypothetical subtheme?

Well, if there won't be a Fairground set, then what could the other four rumored 2018 Creator Expert sets constitute? Because, according to this post back from October, there are suppose to be a total of five D2C sets for the theme next year. They are... 10260 CREATOR Expert (a.k.a Downtown Diner) 10261 CREATOR Expert 10262 CREATOR Expert 10263 CREATOR Expert 10256 CREATOR Expert

I love how you've incorporated that one 6×8 Nexo Knights arch piece onto the Sand Blue building in the center of the picture. I'm surprised I haven't seen others use that part yet in architectural creations. And, speaking of arches, those Dark Red arches above the doors of the coal shed look very nice.

So of course, that would mean these are translations again?

Unless Disney decides to bring the franchise under the wing of the Disney brand after sorting out their acquisition of Fox, it is considered simply as an acquisition of The Walt Disney Company, and is not pertinent to this discussion. But, having that said, I do believe we'll see the franchise come to Lego by the time the sequels roll out, and I'd be interested to see how potential sets could turn out. It's much more obscure than other Disney theme park attractions, but I recently became aware of this one sub-theme park that's a part of Tokyo DisneySea in Japan. Port Discovery has some really cool looking Retrofuturistic/Decopunk architecture that I'd wish (though never plausably expect) to see attempted by Lego.

An open letter about the Lego City fire lineup for 2019
Digger of Bricks replied to sasbury's topic in LEGO Town
Agreed, as I'm surprised that we haven't seen any sort of iteration of that archetype yet. I mean, I believe the Collectible Minifigure line has at least three iterations of police officers within the theme so far, but not one firefighter. Now I could say that the premiere introduction of a firefighter CMF could give us some of those updated parts (air tank, helmet, etc.), but from the way it looks, we might not see a "regular" Collectable Minifigure Series until September 2019 at the earliest. -
I think the Dwarves' Cottage from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves would make an awesome and most ideal D2C set, especially when you consider that the film was the motion picture industry's first ever full length animated feature. Naturally, the set must include minifigures, and not minidolls. Also, if there was one Disney character I'd want to see the most as a minifigure in the near future, it would be The Rocketeer. Oh yes, and how I do wish the Ideas staff had approved it for production! LEGO Ideas - 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea NAUTILUS Oh well.
-
There's also 31081 Ship Adventure (though I don't think those really are the real names), which may have the same potential.

What do you hope to see from TLG's current relationship with The Walt Disney Company?* Whether it be ideas for Direct to Consumer sets, new themes and franchises, particular characters for potential future Collectable Minifigure lines, sets for the current Disney Princess theme, or even sets based upon Disney Park attractions, share and discuss your ideas and dreams here! *This discussion only pertains to franchises part of the Disney brand, and not Walt Disney & Co. acquirements such as Marvel, Lucasfilm, Fox, etc.
