Thanks for mentioning these users here @Aanchir! I don't check out AFOL constraction creations as much as a probably should, but hey, that first user's work is pretty sick, and solid looking for that matter too!
-
But... it wouldn't be a "mono"-rail then.

I certainly would hope so, because a multi-build/part pack type train set, if done right, would make up for much of the long periods of absence without any serious train sets.

While checking out the forum this morning, it was funny to see "last posted on" dates on topics denoted with 2017, as opposed to no year denotation.
-
Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification in translation!

So, we are getting a people pack, and its setting sounds great! There's definitely potential for new and/or recolored animal molds for this one, just like @Roebuck had mentioned. If I had to hope for only one new mold from this set, I guess it would be a squirrel. Now that flexible and straight track pack has me wondering. Didn't those flexible track parts get discontinued?

Probably, as I think that January of that year is seemingly the earliest possible date we could expect it. This has been discussed elsewhere multiple times, but to recap, 2018 as we know is out of the picture, and 2019 has two Lego cinematic movies slated for then. If Lego will stay committed to hopefully giving us at least one regular CMS a year, then I think it's safe to say that 2019 is booked. The only way though we might see a second Disney CMS in 2019 is if that year's second cinematic Lego movie, The Billion Brick Race, ends up getting rescheduled by WB for a date in 2020 instead, which I think could plausibly happen. Probably like you, I'm surprised that Lego hasn't given us a second Disney CMS sooner, given how well the first one sold. So on that note, to get back on topic, what are your wishes @Pop Star c o for a Disney Series 2? I just looked at those now, and I'll say, they're all very good! I really dig your TWA Rocket and how you brick built those shaggy hooves on the horse pulling the Main Street Transit! Perhaps that's old trick, but nonetheless, that's the first time I've ever seen that done.

Apparently, these set names/numbers @Brick Lover has been posting are rough translations from French shop websites; so that's most likely not the actual name, but at the very least they're likely approximations of the real ones.

Since the last time I posted on this topic, I've discovered one other AFOL Instagram user who, as far as I know, does not host his creations on any other site. User lukesbrickheadz creates, as his name suggests many custom BrickHeadz MOCs that are worth checking out. By the way, I'm delighted to say that the Instagram user I had initially wrote about in this topic's original post has earned the distinction of having his micro cityscapes being named as 2017's Best Creation of the Year by the blog The Brothers Brick! The Brothers Brick - Brothers Brick LEGO Creation of the Year 2017 [News] Hey there @Vindicare! Have you perhaps remembered some of these users you've mentioned or maybe have discovered some new ones since then?

Well, one thing that's rather unfortunate about the new rollercoaster system is that the two parts that make up the steeper incline aren't designed as so to lengthen it with additional straight rollercoaster track, so it's a set length. Steeper inclines mean bigger rollercoasters, but with the system Lego has created, that simply can't be done. So because of that, I don't understand why Lego made that incline two parts anyway. Perhaps it was for packaging's sake, I suppose?

Up until yesterday, I wasn't aware this topic existed! Now I know there is at least one other thread in this subforum that is similar to this one, but before we ring in the new year, I'd like to revive this discussion with at least one more post for 2017. While I have many wishes for a multitude of original in-house themes and licensed franchises, my quintessential dream theme would be for a Dieselpunk/Sky-Fi reimagining of the classic Adventurers theme, filled with fantastical warplanes, airships, advanced lost civilizations, ancient doomsday devices, evil barons with mechanical armies, and daring aviator heroes. I've shared this dream of mine on others topics here in the past, particularly on this one where I fleshed it out a bit more. I think such a fantastical take on the classic Adventurers theme might be more successful in this day and age over a more traditional one, seeing how well a theme like Ninjago has done since 2011. Hey, I didn't know you were on Eurobricks! I've seen many of your Ideas projects before, and have admired their set like quality and construction! Your renditions of Mole's Digger and the Ulysses's Sub Pod are my favorites, and I love how you recolored that canopy part from 8970 Robo Attack for the Sub Pod in Trans-yellow. Now that's a recolored part that we need to see! Also, even the many smaller expeditionary land vehicles seen in your set proposals would have been great standing alone as Adventurers sets!

LEGO Ninjago 2018

But come to think of it, the tire wouldn't stay on securely anyway, as the spinner doesn't have any grooves on the edge to accommodate the tire. If it did, its alternative purpose would be all too obvious.- 2,384 replies

An open letter about the Lego City fire lineup for 2019
Digger of Bricks replied to sasbury's topic in LEGO Town
I can definitely agree that purist solutions to particular shortcomings with Lego's inventory can be much more fascinating than new molds at times; but, Lego does introduce plenty of new minifigure accessory molds each year, and unfortunately most go toward very specific molds for licensed themes or "big bang" in-house themes (a.k.a. Ninjago and Nexo Knights). With the latter though, Lego can find ways to reuse those molds since they aren't restricted to a particular license, but more offer than not, it seems they don't. So the bottom line is, Lego could focus more of their yearly allowance towards more universal, archetypical molds, but it seems to instead be eaten by much more specialized, stylized ones for other themes. -

If these spinner wheels can fit Technic motorcycle tires like @Bobathan Buan had just shown us, perhaps they are going to be utilized for constraction figure compatible vehicles from that rumored summer 2018 CCBS theme?- 2,384 replies

While I don't think Disney will be planning any new action/adventure movies any time soon, I do hope that if they do, Lego will still consider doing sets for them, despite the failure of Disney's last two attempts at new historical action/adventure franchises (a.k.a. Prince of Persia & The Lone Ranger). You see, not only did those two themes give us grittier takes on genres that otherwise would have not turned out the same way if they were in-house takes on those genres, but perhaps we would have never seen such themes at all if it weren't for those two movies. Lego had never done a "sword & sandals" Arabian theme before Prince of Persia, and before The Lone Ranger, an American Wild West theme hadn't been seen in sixteen years. So, here's hoping that there's something down the line for Disney action/adventure movies in the near future for Lego's sake, but currently, Disney seems mostly focused on live-action remakes of animated classics for now. Or, in line with my hypothesis I shared above, such a set might not sell well at all if it weren't for the Disney branding. But hey, I do hope I'm wrong.

My favorite Batman figures that we've seen so far would probably be, in order of earliest to latest... The 2007 Earth Blue & Light Bluish Grey variant. The 2013 "Beware the Batman" variant. The 2015 DK Encyclopedia Pirate Batman variant. The 2017 TLBM S1 Vacation Batman CMF. The 2017 TLBM Tartan Batman variant. Now I'm just waiting for a Gotham by Gaslight variant.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Actually, for a miniature take on the actual set, it looks pretty good! Even though it appears to be a three-in-one rebuild as opposed to a three-in-one vehicle like the actual set, I think the alternate build route makes this polybag a whole lot cooler! We need more three-in-one/alternate construct type sets in themes other than Creator. -
What a fun little Steampunk airship you've done there! It's so compact in its size, and I don't even mind that it's not a true zeppelin, given its usage of those balloon pieces.

It may not be as well known as the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (and therefore less likely to ever happen), but another Steampunk styled Disney submarine that would cool to see would be the Ulysses from 2001's Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Man, talk about another wild piece of Retro Futuristic Disney Park architecture.

Ah, that's right. I totally forgot about Disney's plans for a "World of Pandora" attraction at Walt Disney World. So I guess because of that, perhaps James Cameron's Avatar is relevant to this discussion.

OK, thanks! That date makes much more sense that the one Zusammengebaut gave us which you shared on this topic with us earlier. Perhaps that site was instead giving us the press release date? -

They don't necessarily bug me, but the Post-Apocalyptic genre just isn't my thing. But, I am happy for those who will be repurposing these for Post-Apocalyptic creations, as I believe these figure designs have strayed closest to the genre, so far that is.- 2,384 replies
