  1. I'm pretty sure that a Space Tourism subtheme would be a greater possibility for City more so than Friends. The same could be said for hypothetical Lunar and Martian Exploration subthemes, something I'd never expect the Friends theme to traverse towards anytime soon, but hey... I'd really love to see at least a normal passenger train set for the Friends theme some time soon here; but, I do think a monorail would be a lot more "chic" for the line, compared to a traditional railway. After all, they did give us something like that using the new rollercoaster track in that upcoming Resort set.
  2. Ooooh, a Space Police III limousine transport! The criminals must be quite flattered!
  3. A most excellent review, and for that matter, a most Outstanding set!
  4. That's kinda how I feel they're planning out the future of that line too. Perhaps, but I suppose it's up to the interviewer to rephrase those questions if he decides to ask them in some form or another. Speaking of such, here are all four questions I did submit pertaining to the Collectable Minifigure line, with the fourth one probably indeed being a bit more blunt:
  5. Indeed, as the energy construction aspect of the Green Lantern Corps mythology is what makes those comics such a great fit for the spirit of the LEGO System! Now that you bring that element up again, I lament that they haven't utilized those characters more. And super retro looking too!
  6. I think the Space Camp idea presented here by others would be the most plausible to happen, but I'd still like to see a Space Tourism subtheme instead, one with a Virgin Galactic SpaceShipOne-like shuttlecraft. That way, the Friends theme in a way would have its first official...
  7. Why sure, that could be rather interesting to see!
  8. That is indeed some clever NPU! Simple, but clever!
  9. Well, I didn't ask that particular question quite as blunt as that. Was it for an interview/questionnaire? How long ago would you estimate this was?
  10. Entry 3 - 3 points! Entry 1 - 1 point. Entry 9 - 1 point. Entry 10 - 1 point. All in all, these are some excellent entries! I had a rather hard time deciding between Nemo's Car #1 (the third entry) and the yellow Bugatti (the first entry). I was also amazed that two of the entries were based upon Nemo's LXG car!
  11. I have a copy of Kre-O set 38955 which I found at a Goodwill a few years ago, which is also from their Battleship theme. That set does have a nice semi-automatic handgun mold that is most fitting for Lego minifigures in terms of scale and TLG-like design quality.
  12. Huh, so they're covering The Little Mermaid now. Well, Ursula looks great I'll admit, especially in capturing both her hair and her tentacles. And speaking of hair, I'd imagine Ariel's will be a rather interesting build too. It's quite ironic that we should hear of this news, as I only saw some The Little Mermaid themed BrickHeadz creations featured on The Brothers Brick a few days ago. The Brothers Brick - Brickheadz that dwell under the sea
  13. I'm not putting too much faith into TLG honoring these milestones as much as I did in the past, but that'd certainly be a good excuse for the next "big bang" to take on a nautical/pirates theme! Please don't make it anything like Disney's Treasure Planet though. This I think is the strongest point you've made in this argument.
  14. Well, I suppose those could be done as individual "gift-with-purchase" sets, as we've seen a few promotions like that in the past to complement Creator Expert's modular building line. Thanks! Another idea I just had for themed bumper cars would be a medieval jousting tournament theme. How 'bout that?
  15. Where and when did they announce that?! I did submit a question pertaining to that aspect.
  16. ...but never the colored canopies that Lego's in-house Space themes usually had. That for me is the star focal point for many of the sets within their own themes. That latest of subtheme of City is what gives me hope that we'll see a lunar or Martian exploration subtheme for that line in the near future.
  17. Do you have any concept artists or fan artists who's work you may admire? Are there any Eurobricks members here who also have art as another side hobby? What are your favorite genres and subject matters as far as concept or fan art go? Whether their artwork be Lego related or otherwise, share and discuss it all here!
  18. Exactly, but with the lavish ornamentation of a carousel ride, much like this example:
  19. Ooooh, bidirectional hinge bricks!
  20. How about a swing ride? That would most certainly be very ornate in its finer detailing and grebbling, not to mention that it'd be a good candidate for Power Functions adaptability.
  21. Well, if this somehow does result in more breathing room for you-know-what...
  22. Sure, I too love seeing many of my favorite licensed characters portrayed in minifigure form; and in turn, give us their own satirized takes on them in these cinematic movies. But, with such a current oversaturation of licensed lines overpowering and/or eliminating archetypical in-house themes, I'd really like to see these films try and make up for that to some degree.
