  1. True, as I presume that BrickHeadz sets are so much easier to cook up compared to typical playsets, in no small part due to their formulaic internal structure, therefore allowing for a streamlined design process.
  2. Speaking of Looney Tunes, here's a major piece of news I strangely missed the first time around, reported back on the eleventh of this month: Variety - Warner Bros.’ ‘Looney Tunes’ Gets Thunderous Reception at Annecy Point being, given that WB looks to be going back to producing shorts for many of their theatrical releases, could this possibly act as a catalyst to bring the franchise to Lego?
  3. We are way overdue for a new underground action theme, almost a decade to be exact; and, given how Power Miners was one of Lego's best selling in-house themes until Ninjago debuted, I'm surprised we haven't seen a spiritual successor to it since then! But, ten years huh? That is how much time sat in between Rock Raiders (1999) and Power Miners (2009), right? So, perhaps 2019 may give us that successor some time around then...
  4. Pretty much everything that we officially know about the sequel can be found over at its IMDb page, including its cast list, respective characters, and plot summary: IMDb - The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part As for discussion for rumors and speculation pertaining to the movie, it's better suited for these two topics instead, one more specific than the broader one:
  5. I see that it's now been featured over on the blog ArchBrick. ArchBrick - Lakeside Cottage
  6. Best of luck to you on your journey towards ten thousand supporters! You know, I have a slight feeling that many of your potential supporters may vote for your project for nostalgic sentiments towards the Earth Green and Gold in its color scheme, as it may remind them of Lego's Emerald Night from 2009 in a way.
  7. His third modular (The History Museum) has to be my favorite one of his so far! His latest one didn't bug me that much upon first seeing it, but I suppose the lack of a third floor is rather odd, and those starfish crowning the top of the building are somewhat tacky. Having said that though, yes, his brick-built signage is always a win every time so far! That's a pretty amazing roof! All those Dark Red bows are utilized quite cleverly! Ohhh, yet another medieval beauty with some lovely Dark Red!
  8. Well, some have speculated that "The Second Part" referenced in the title may not just be referring to the fact that this is the second film in a trilogy/series, if you know what they may mean by that. What sort of information in particular would you be wondering about?
  9. Saw this over on LEGO Ideas the just other day, it's a very well formatted creation that also works quite well as a project too! Best of luck to you in the hopes that it may reach 10K supporters!
  10. True, but I do like both the design of the brick-built signage and the simplistic but clever usage of Black Technic beams evoking the look of film backdroping the signage. Well, I guess it's that I do like their attention to exterior over interior detailing, as the first superficial impressions of many creations are what draw my eye to them first and foremost. Between the two though, I probably like italovergnat's work over Bricky_Brick's for his greater emphasis on exterior ornamentation, not to mention that his color choices and pairing are in somewhat better taste than Bricky_Brick's.
  11. Let us not forget @TheBrickBuilder14's Speed Champions scaled DB5!
  12. This guy on both Flickr and LEGO Ideas has been on a bit of a building binge with "fantastical quintaplex" locomotives, something I've seen at least one other builder do multiple of more recently. Here are two of his best builds: Emerald Champion and The Big Red
  13. Shown as is, I think not, since their construction methods and build aesthetic look like something from Lego sets of the late 1990's/early 2000's, yet built with parts dating from predominantly the late 2000's/early 2010's. But, that submarine from the Golden Grotto playset looks kinda cool though.
  14. Hmmm, then perhaps the only 2019 products they'll unveil may be for DC and Marvel's Mighty Micros, if we're to presume that they'll both continue on with those lines.
  15. The sequel to Wreck-It Ralph is coming out in November of this year, but BrickHeadz tie-ins still could be a possibility for early 2019, given that we did see Justice League BrickHeadz released by Lego after the fact (and that movie was a November release too by the way). P.S. Here are some custom Ralph and Vanellope BrickHeadz for that matter:
  16. Indeed, I just love bridged skyscrapers like these, and the highway running between the two towers makes it even cooler! Now if only that highway was instead atop the bridge... Here are a few more of Bricky_Brick's recent architectural projects that I've featured a little while ago over on @LegoMonorailFan's Best Lego Ideas Projects topic, but not here yet: Modular Film Studio , Hat's Store , and Oscar's Wheels
  17. Well, the fountain in front of the Terminal isn't what interests me as much, as it's the Art Deco Terminal itself that does. A fun fact regarding the Terminal, is that it's the architectural inspiration for DC Comics' Hall of Justice first seen in the Super Friends TV show from the 1970's. By the way, another train station I'd like to see for the Architecture theme is Helsinki Central Station in Finland, an early architectural example of Art Deco.
  18. Regarding Aston Martin, how about a Zagato V12? If the Speed Champions theme were to attempt Lamborghinis, I'd guess that they'd particularly want to create a new canopy part for them, as I don't think the other two windshield parts introduced by the theme would work out in capturing the cabin shape of your typical Lamborghini.
  19. Oh my gosh, that Ultron is incredible!!! Your usage of rubber bands for his mouth works quite well, not to mention those Metallic Silver touches and his additional height.
  20. Well, looking at the past, the first teaser for The Lego Movie was released in mid-June of 2013 attached to the theatrical release of Man of Steel, while our first trailer came out sometime in the late fall of that year I believe. On the other hand, the first teaser for The Lego Batman Movie was released in late March of 2016 attached to the theatrical release of Batman v. Superman, with a second teaser following-up the next week. In July of that same year, TLBM did receive its first trailer at San Diego Comic-Con (unlike TLM), with a second trailer releasing in late fall of that same year.
  21. With the official confirmation of the SDCC debut of our first trailer for Aquaman we heard of a little while ago, for the advent of that, I almost wonder if Lego will be unveiling the upcoming DCEU Aquaman tie-in set there instead. In place of a 2019 DC set, perhaps they'll rather showcase the next wave of Mighty Micros? Maybe a 2019 Marvel set?
  22. The color, shaping, and ornamentation for the Mobile Watchtower all make this build the most alluring for me, but I think the usage of those dark grey quarter-dome components is what really gets me. Already looking forwards to what else you'll have in store!
  23. The pairing of Olive Green and Earth Blue for the house is what makes this creation for me, not to mention that the Dark Orange accenting upon the surrounding earth adds a nice touch.
