  1. Say, I really love the bowed shaping of the tower for this build, and the cheese wedged walls making up the base of the fortress look pretty cool too! By the way, is the fictional backstory for this build based in any truth, if you know what I mean?
  2. Thanks! Particularly, I usually keep my eyes open for any noteworthy Ideas projects that have been recently submitted, so from now on, I'll share any architectural ones here more often when I do find them!
  3. Unless you've picked it up already, here's a great parts-based overview of the set by New Elementary: New Elementary - LEGO® ARCHITECTURE 21042 STATUE OF LIBERTY: THE NEW PARTS How about the former Cincinnati Union Terminal?
  4. Exactly, as modern models seem to better suit the Technic theme instead.
  5. Here's the project in question for those wondering: LEGO Ideas - International Space Station
  6. Certainly, but, they don't always need to be $100+ sets. Huh, a Mega Bloks wiki eh? I've never seen that site before, and I was sort of excited that you linked it as I thought they'd have a database of articles on parts Mega Bloks has that Lego doesn't have an equivalent for. Well, not only did they have no such thing, the site looks like it hasn't been updated since sometime in 2014. Starting out, if Lego were to attempt such a theme, I'd guess they'd probably have to launch off with only one subtheme and expanding from there depending upon its level of success, with each subtheme's name subtitled under the broader theme's name. For instance, citing recent past Space lines, as subthemes they'd likely be named as LEGO Galaxy: Space Police, LEGO Galaxy: Mars Mission, LEGO Galaxy: Alien Conquest...
  7. If that stand-in silhouette is indeed reflective of what we're going to see, I'm certainly surprised. It seemed to me that Creator Expert automobile sets from here on were going to be based upon classics while the "Expert" Technic line were going to handle modern/current models. I'm still interested to see how this modern Aston will turn out, but I guess I was kinda hoping for a classic one.
  8. Here's the catalog image for those wondering:
  9. While I have my own reasons for not wanting a James Bond license to go any further than this one set (whatever that set may be), I do honestly think James Bond would make more profit for TLG over Doctor Who, primarily because Bond is an American film franchise based upon a British subject matter while Doctor Who is strictly British in all respects. Point being, Bond may have broader audiences on both sides of the Atlantic over Doctor Who for those speculated reasons.
  10. Well then, what other recolors would you perhaps wish for yourself? Off the top of my own head, I'd probably also wish for the torso print template for the Series 3 Pilot so I could superimpose it onto either a Black or Dark Brown torso, while my other wish would be for the print templates to the Series 17 Retro Spaceman of course.
  11. It's interesting that this Aquaman figure dons a Draco Malfoy hairpiece instead of his typical Bright Yellow "skateboarder" hairpiece.
  12. Hopefully, if this launches off, I'd like to see them expand this product's options beyond just white torsos and personalized prints. I mean, imagine if they made available all the torso print templates from past non-licensed CMFs, allowing for customers to utilize those templates for different colored torsos and legs, such as, for instance, the prints for the Series 6 Intergalactic Girl superimposed onto minifigure components in Earth Blue, Olive Green, Dark Red, Dark Purple, Flame Yellowish Orange...
  13. Is it perhaps a glitch? Before the upgrade, sometimes the Action Figure and Technic subforums would temporarily default back to that format on occasion, but those seem fine last time I checked.
  14. I don't at all keep up with it myself either (never watched it in fact), I was more commenting on the villians' overall aesthetics from superficial first impressions.
  15. Now it's already past a thousand supporters! Sounds like the intergalactic equivalent of City, which would be most extraordinary to see for a Space theme! If we were to ever see such a multi-subthemed line of sets, I think it should be named LEGO Galaxy.
  16. Honestly, I think they're best described as simply being Post-Apocalyptic, though I suppose you could describe them as Dieselpunk if you were to use that term very loosely. In my opinion, Dieselpunk should be almost exclusively reserved for anything with more of an alternate historical World War II vibe.
  17. Well, if Benny does indeed have his own ride again in this sequel, the least we can hope for would be some new Trans-Yellow recolored canopies from it.
  18. Again, I know it's somewhat off-topic for this discussion, but I just finished the second season of Amazon's The Man in the High Castle last night.
  19. That's pretty much what I'm primarily wondering, but you phrased this question better than I did.
  20. This is only partly related, but has anyone here read about this yet? The Brick Fan - LEGO Minifigure Factory Debuts in Denmark
  21. Apparently Alex's post is being reported by at least The Brick Fan: The Brick Fan - LEGO DC Kingdom Come SDCC 2018 Set by Alex Ross
  22. Oh there wouldn't be a lack of vehicles, not at all understandably, only that they'd be more ClockPunk/DaVinci-like in their nature instead, conceptually relying on steam/rocket/clockwork propulsion. How so? Nexo Knights, if anything, was more heavy on the Cyberpunk than the medieval than Ninjago ever was.
