  1. Disney's Christopher Robin with Ewan McGregor. I never grew up with any of Disney's animated adaptations of the original stories, as I was only familiar with them from a surface level. Yet, I told myself that I'd might give this a watch on home media after being intrigued by some of its earliest teasers and reading of its fairly positive critical reception. Well, it's a lovely enough film, with a clever retrospective take on its characters and beautiful cinematography; but, given that I don't have the most nostalgic of feelings towards Winnie and company due to the above stated reasons, in the end, it just seemed a little forgettable for me personally.
  2. Pffft, that Dark Red & Orange dual-rotor copter is just hilariously uncharacteristic for the City theme! And wait, cops and robbers in jetpacks? That's the last place I would've expected and wished to see jetpacks!
  3. I'll just say, while I do admit that they're designed quite well, I'm still somewhat disappointed that they utilize printing for their faces. It's just that they would've been more impressive if all their pixalated features were instead brick-built, something I think would've been rather easy to do.
  4. YES! I too am so very glad to see you back, as Eurobricks hasn't been the same without you! Do I mind? Not at all! I too have a few finds I've wanted to share here for a little while now: The Temple of Hermit by lafornia Unnamed by Jeff Friesen Old Police Station by Bricky_Brick BrickCon 2018 Ninjago City Collaborative Display hosted by The Brothers Brick Aslanic Temple in Baraq by @Gideon
  5. Well, now that we know Series 19 won't be seen for April/May after all, a presumed autumn release date in lieu of a summer one can accommodate those Christmas and/or Halloween archetypes more easily.
  6. This scene you mean?
  7. Uh, that, doesn't even look like Lego... That's some damn deco-tacular work there you've erected there @Xon67! A MOC first I do believe too!
  8. I certainly hope that's not indeed the case, as that's one live-action remake I would love to see happen. Probable speculation at least.
  9. I'm pretty confident we'll be seeing Series 19 for September next year, while a second Harry Potter CMS may instead be released the following autumn to coincide with the November 2020 theatrical release of the third Fantastic Beasts film. As I stated on the previous page of this topic, designers for the Collectable Minifigure line have assured us that we should see at least one non-licensed CMS per year.
  10. ...and I also see you've just submitted it to LEGO Ideas today! LEGO Ideas - Olivia's Get-Away
  11. Well, despite the presumed push-back of Series 19 to September of that year (hopefully), this is the one licensed CMS follow-up I've been eagerly anticipating for awhile now. I'd imagine that some of this year's and next year's theatrical Disney releases will most certainly influence its line-up. So, with that said, I'd predict that we'll see some Winnie the Pooh characters (taking after this year's Christopher Robin movie), a Jasmine and/or Jafar CMF (to tie into the live-action remake), at least Woody as a companion to Series 1's Buzz (to tie into the fourth movie), Frozen's Anna and Elsa no doubt for the sequel, and perhaps Mary Poppins (?). Also, being the unofficial face of the Disney Princess franchise, I expect to see Cinderella take a slot in the Series, though I'd personally prefer to see Snow White in her place being the titular character of Disney's first ever feature-length motion picture.
  12. If we are to believe the theme's designers according to that New Elementary interview I shared a little while ago, it should arrive in September at the line's last stop for the year. As you may remember, they assured us that we should see at least one non-licensed CMS a year from here on. So.....
  13. Well, I'm glad to hear that next year's licensed CMS will indeed be a follow-up to Disney Series 1 instead of Harry Potter (or God forbid, The Simpsons Series 3) ; but, can we still expect to see Series 19 for September next year instead?
  14. I just love the Earth Green roof and Olive Green masonry of the Hat Shop in particular.
  15. Will you be submitting an entry yourself?
  16. With and without the red-lensed visor, I really dig his face prints apart from the entire figure, as I could see others reusing it for various random Sci-Fi figbarfs.
  17. It looks like it would make for a most perfect, completely encapsulating playset fit for the movie; but, doesn't it still fall under LEGO Ideas' preexisting license clause?
  18. Here's a parts-centric review of the set by the one-and-only New Elementary blog: New Elementary - LEGO® IDEAS 21315 POP-UP BOOK
  19. So @just2good and @Ashnflash have just cooked up a Stranger Things CMF draft for Halloween...
  20. Given that we've seen a few fairytale archetypes over the years throughout various series, I was just thinking about the possibility of seeing nursery rhyme archetypes, something we've haven't seen any representation for yet. Particularly, how about Mother Goose, Little Bo Peep (a.k.a. Nursery Rhyme Shepherdess), and Humpty Dumpty (a.k.a. Egg Man) as future CMFs? The former two in particular would potentially give us new goose and sheep/lamb molds if we did ever see them. I wonder why we did receive such a headgear mold in the manner we did anyway. Perhaps it was originally intended for a shelved Frontiersman archetype meant for an earlier rendition of Series 12? Your lack of optimism doesn't sound like it bodes well for Series 19, as if it will be a Costume Party 2.0.
  21. 2017's cinematic adaptation of Stephen King's It and Pixar's Incredibles 2. With the former, it was a fairly well done, atmospheric horror film with a good ending which I specifically appreciated; but somehow, it just overall didn't leave much of an impression on me after the fact. As for this year's sequel to The Incredibles, it had its moments, but I just couldn't help but think about the many different directions they could've instead taken such a sequel.
  22. Claire's facial expressions are both quite nice, while on the other hand, Owen's are rather odd.
  23. Bucky's my favorite of the four in this pack, primarily for that torso print of his. If I were though to take the time to obtain this pack, I'd likely pluck out his "metal arm" replacing it with another unprinted Earth Blue one, as so I could reuse the torso elsewhere. What's there to dislike, it's a pretty decent print!
