  1. Evil Mastermind Gender: Male. Occupation/print on torso: Dark Bluish Grey business suit with Black dress shirt and Dark Red tie. Type of headgear: Peter Venkman's hairpiece recolored in White. Type of facial expression: Puckered grimace with red-lensed monocle on one side, maniacal smile with same monocle on the other side. Color on torso/legs: Dark Bluish Grey with Black shoes printed on the legs' toes. Accessory: Titanium Metallic recolor of the traditional laptop piece with a bold, red-lettered "INITIATE DESTRUCTION SEQUENCE?" message printed onscreen. Also, a Black recolor of the newly introduced Harry Potter rat mold with Bright Red eyes. Vampire Knight Gender: Male. Occupation/print on torso: Dark Red torso with Titanium Metallic chainmail prints and a coat of arms evocative of Fright Knights' Basil the Bat Lord. Also, a Titanium Metallic recolor of TLBM Nightwing's armor would be slipped on over the torso, with Titanium Metallic Chima bat wings and a Trans-Red 1×1 round tile added on to it. Type of headgear: New, cowl-like helmet mold in Titanium Metallic with fangs and swept-back bat wings. Type of facial expression: Cold, lifeless expression with Bright Red eyes printed onto a White head, including an additional snarling expression on the opposite side. Color on torso/legs: Dark Red with continuation of torso's Titanium Metallic chainmail prints. Accessory: New sword mold in Titanium Metallic with bat-winged hilt and S16 Frightening Knight's shield printed with same coat of arms as printed onto torso. I just love this one! How many more of these ideas do you have, whether they're rendered or not?
  2. This set from 2016 had a recolored one: Brickset - 70172 AntiMatter's Portal Hideout
  3. No, I do believe they are slated for a January 2019 release date. Can you really be sure of that though?
  4. For me, while I can definitely single out my favorites for this year, it's hard for me to judge this year's worst offerings, as my opinions would most likely be unwarrantedly subjective. So with that said... Best Theme: A tie between LEGO Ideas and Creator (Expert and otherwise). Best Minifigure/Figure: A tie between TLBM Series 2's Jor-El and General Zod. Best Set: Creator Expert's 10260 Downtown Diner Most Anticipated for 2019: Anything The Lego Movie 2 will offer, Disney's CMS Series 2, and Series 19.
  5. Not mention, as I've expressed countless times before elsewhere, the Creator theme can be a haven for an infinite number of homeless themes and genres. That encompasses Castle, Space, Pirates, and so many other lines and settings that currently don't have a place or never had to begin with within Lego's lineup. This is, after all, where this very discussion topic started off!
  6. For me, it's more about representation for fantastical spacecraft making its way into a theme that isn't exclusively constrained to a particular subject matter or setting. That's the beauty of the Creator theme compared to other lines, yet it is soooo underutilized, never taking advantage of its fullest potential.
  7. As modeled after previous years' discussion topics, share and discuss your thoughts on this year's best and worst offerings from The Lego Group, as according to the below posted criteria: Best Theme: Best Minifigure/Figure: Best Set: Worst Theme: Worst Minifigure/Figure: Worst Set: Most Anticipated for 2019: If you'd like to discuss the best and worst of recent years past, here are each of their respective discussion topics: The Best and Worst of 2017 by @Khscarymovie4 The Best (and worst) of 2016 by @BlockLogo The Best (and worst?) of 2015 by @BlockLogo The Best and worst of 2014 by @Robert8
  8. It would be great if topics like @danth's Favorite/Inspirational Sci-Fi MOCs, @LegoModularFan's Inspirational Modular and Castle MOCs, or @LegoMonorailFan's Best Lego Ideas projects could have a chance to be frontpaged.

H-Wing Deep Space Interceptor by siuliano Unicorn's Spaceship by aubrysylvain Thunderbird 3 by Krynoid Retro Space Hero's Spaceship (and Spacebike) by Nuno_0937 Classic Spaceship Station by CARLIERTI So am I! I hope this one has better success than previous LL928 homage projects that came before it.
  10. Hmmm, well, perhaps building techniques for other's modular MOCs could be shared and discussed here? The problem with that suggestion though, is that you already have a few other topics that would be more suited for such discussions; so, besides that, I'm at a sort of loss for other suggestions. Perhaps we simply keep this topic on hold until new creations worth mentioning here come about?
  11. Hmmm, I'd guess it really wouldn't fit into either the Steampunk or Dieselpunk genres, as its color scheme immediately calls into mind many Steampunk MOCs, yet it sports what looks like an internal-combustion engine. Granted, it does look it there's a small smokestack sitting right behind Metalbeard, but behind that there are exhaust pipes too. So, I'd roughly classify it as a sort of hodge-podge, post-apocalyptic Pirate-Punk ride of sorts, which is pretty much what Metalbeard and his Sea Cow would be classified under too.
  12. YES! I believe that may be a first for the Creator theme, as there has never been a Sci-Fi spacecraft of any sort represented within either the Three-In-One or Expert subthemes. I mean, we've had plenty of robots and/or mecha over the years as Three-In-One sets, but never any sort of fantastical spacecraft.
  13. Huh, I'm wondering if Batman will be playing the part of a post-apocalyptic cult leader of sorts for Apocalypsburg's citizens. After all, it looks like that's where they're seeking refuge, his former Batcave.
  14. Thanks for the heads up! I've just updated the main post with all of @tormentalous's box art images from Flickr (just the front box art, that is) via your link to his article.
  15. Since it was made available for free on YouTube for Black Brick Friday, I rewatched The Lego Movie since I had nothing better to watch.
  16. Despite its lack of a third floor, I'd have to agree!
  17. ...not to mention TLBM Alfred's coattail and bowtie pieces too!
  18. That would be great! Considering that a surprising number of your very own all-time favorites fit more at home within the Castle theme compared to Town, that's all the more reason to start such a topic! Plus, it could definitely act as morale booster for the many starving Castle fans there. You're most welcome! Here are a couple other active projects of his: Medieval House by oms5134 Medieval Market Street by oms5134
  19. Hey, there's an idea... an Orchestra Conductor CMF! * * Sorry, that was a little off topic.
  20. Well, scratch that. Looks like Castro's character isn't a costumed CMF archetype after all:
