  1. Time for TC15! I had to build a working aircraft for a cadet demonstration anyways, so I'm glad this contest has come about. My goal for the aircraft is to have working control surfaces that are also colour coded. Maybe something like a glider will work. Currently I have ailerons and flaps. The ailerons are the mechanism in red. The flaps are the mechanism in white. The damper is used to keep the flaps at any position given. That's all for now, I'll keep y'all posted.
  2. Alrighty, back to work I go! I have started an entry for TC15, and I will host my WIP topic here. My goal is to create something like a glider with working control surfaces. Currently I have ailerons and flaps. The ailerons are the mechanism in red. The flaps are the mechanism in white. The damper is used to keep the flaps at any position given. That's all for now, I'll keep y'all posted.
  3. Hey, this is awesome. I planning on building a glider anyways for a lesson I was going to teach, so why not do it now?
  4. I really like this concept, and from your past projects, I think this one will be great.
  5. Interesting interpretation. Is there a way you could use more SNOT? I think it would make a big difference.
  6. It is just for colour. I built a replica of the hood, but the way everything is hooked up doesn't allow it to open. The A-pillars and the dash are both connected, making it impossible to open, even as a clamshell.
  7. I have been reverse-engineering what I can see, I'll be posting pictures later, but so far, I noticed that the front bonnet will definitely not open, the rear of the car is all tilted slightly to create a higher rear end.
  8. No, it clearly has a pin hole, not an axle hole. Also, I just noticed that there aren't that many stickers, I was expecting more. Edit: I take that back, after a recount of what's visible, I count at least 9
  9. We don't have much right now, just this picture, but it's better than nothing! Personally, I find that they made a good choice with the wheels, but just about every other visual aspect of the car is too flat. The front is too choppy/broken up to be recognizable. We can see there's steering on the front axle, a working V8, and the hood doesn't open.
  10. The arches would have to be printed, because the way that it curves would stop any sticker from conforming without having a slot that would need to be cut halfway through.
  11. Sorry, my mistake, thanks for correcting me.
  12. Looking at it's size, I don't think it's going to be so cheap.
  13. Wow. I'm speechless. This build is absolutely stunning, and I bet it'd look even better as a real-life build. Well done.
  14. I look forward to seeing more progress, as this might be super helpful.
  15. I quite like @Aventador2004's suggestion.
  16. Interesting concept. It makes sense to do add weak points to stress-heavy parts of the model.
  17. Holy wow! I think I'm going to build this.
