  1. @BrickbyBrickTechnic It looks good. It is AWD capable, right?
  2. Thank you for building a gearbox, how long should we wait for you te get the shifter in too?
  3. That's awesome! I was hoping for something like this!
  4. Thanks for the heads-up, but I'm going to leave them in. Extra points if your model uses PF, though!
  5. Yes, this contest is allowed. I believe I brought it up with Jim before I posted it last year. About the voting for last year, I unfortunately just never got around to doing it, which is going to change this year
  6. May 1st, every year. Put it on your calendar!
  7. Welcome to the second installment of the Annual Motorized Set contest, where this year's theme is Dragsters. A few questions that will inevitably arise: What is AMS? AMS is a contest where any Eurobricks member may take any released lego set, and modify it to meet the year's challenge. What is this topic for? This topic is for discussion, WIP photos, and questions on the rules. What is this year's theme? This year's theme is drag modified cars. How do I enter? Entering the contest is easy. You send me, in PMs, two pictures and a video of the final design, along with a small blurb that describes your design, and I will post it in a new voting topic. That way, voting is more organized. How long do I have? The deadline is June 1st, exactly one month from now. Do I have to send you my entry before then? Just send me your entry as soon as you can, once you finish your model. How does voting happen? The voting topic will explain how voting is done. What do I win? The sole prize is bragging rights. No physical prize will be sent out to the winner. What will I be voted on? You will be voted on what original functions of the model were kept, the top speed, acceleration, and originality. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rules The base rule for AMS: The model submitted must be a modification of a set released by Lego for their Technic theme. This includes any B- or C-models. No third-party or modified parts. We would like to equalize the field, and allow more people to have a fighting chance. Does that include Buwizz and Sbrick? Yes, it does. The majority of builders own at least one IR receiver. Sbricks and Buwizz don't have that kind of userbase. What parts can I use? You can use any parts from your collection, as long as they comply with the previous statements. Good building! Let's Build!
  8. I think he's going to pick the latter -- go for more attention.
  9. Alright, so you're on standby. That's right, I forgot about that.
  10. Alright, checking in again. @KikoTube, @Aventador2004, is your job here done? @Didumos69, How's the framework going? do you think you're done? @IA creations, Have you finalized the engine? @BrickbyBrickTechnic, I need you to finish up that gearbox, bud! @Offroadcreat1ons, how are the doors? @TechnicRCRacer, could you start on the adjustable rear wing, please? @Jeroen Ottens, any new progress on the body? Finally, I still need an interior designer!
  11. I'm pretty sure you can straight-up use mindstorms buttons, light sensors, sound sensors and motors on EV3. I do know that you, for sure, cannot use the ultrasonic sensor.
  12. Absolutely stunning! I don't remember how I first found you, but I've been following your Flickr since the first WIP pictures. Your progress was fun to follow. Great final product.
  13. I waited so long for this to become a topic! Great job! You certainly did do it justice!
  14. I am looking for a model not based off real life. Something that looks new, something aggressive. So far, the bodywork achieves this, but pop-up headlights do seem to be an issue. @Jeroen Ottens Just build the headlights as fixed models. @TechnicRCRacer is it okay if I transfer you to @Didumos69's idea, an adjustable rear wing, instead of pop-up headlights?
  15. The pop-up headlights are there to add a an extra feature, so if you can think of a good one to replace it, let me know. @Jeroen Ottens, good job with the bodywork so far, I like the aggressive look! Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking, something not too intrusive, but adds a little more width around the axles. Kind of like this (focusing on the side panels).
  16. I agree with making a low hood, but not copy a Lamborghini. If you can, it'd be excellent if you could try to lower it by 1-2 studs. Thank you!
