That is an interesting solution to the LAs range problem. I'm excited to see what other cool solutions go into this model :) -
How long do you keep mocs or sets together?
BrickbyBrickTechnic replied to Aventador2004's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Not long. With intact sets, the alternate model ideas come to me within hours of building them, so a few days later, the alternates models come together. A good amount of my MOCs get instructions, so those get broken after a few weeks at most. In terms of MOC part, I have around 3000. -
That's a LOT of bend. Good find! Is there any longer video (like the one for 42070 and 42068) for this model?

Thanks for your comments. The body has been much changed since the pictures shown above. I will post them in today and you can see again how close/far it is from the ram.

Hello everyone, I have recently picked up a 42054. Immediately I noticed the insane amount of backlash and resistance in the steering system. Here's how I fixed it: 1: Finding the problem: The problem was one of these: It was adding lots of friction which caused the grand majority of the backlash. It is added in this step (step 57 substep 2): 2. Replacing the piece. This was relatively simple, I replaced it with one of these: I had to hold the other piece in before placing it into the assembly, but it was totally worth it. There is little to no backlash and resistance. So, that's it! Thanks for reading! BrickbyBrickTechnic

Awesome! I've seen all of these on YouTube. I especially like the mechanism to spin the spinners.

Interesting concept, but you would probably want to go for a bigger cylinder for the second stage of the boom. The small ones don't allow as much range and weight capabilities.

Well, I translated it to English so iI can read it (thank google). Thanks!

Awesome! I'm building a Ram 1500 right now, so I guess we are pickup truck buddies? ;) BTW right now the truck looks kinda flat. Try making it taller. -

It is, in fact, a jacked-up ram :) You're completely right about the proportion, and the hood needs reworking to as it is crude. Thanks a lot @kbalage !

Modifications have been made. The steering has been modified, but I'm not too sure about the new solution. Bodywork has been added. PLEASE GIVE ME TIPS. The model will be done around Thursday of next week. Thank you.
