Awesome photos, you should definitely take some outdoors! My favorite is the one where its climbing the Hammerhead.

Before anything else... HoF worthy!!! The performance is epic, I love the body roll while cornering... All it needs is some LifeLites!

Chevrolet C10 1972
Leonardo da Bricki replied to KikoTube's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The body is stunning! Excellent reproduction of the classic design, though I think seat in a different or darker color would be better. Does the gear selector switch ever catch on something while the truck is driving? @Aventador2004 The tailpipe is the pump handle. -
@Didumos69 Thanks! I will make a video when the parts arrive and I add them to the gearbox! UPDATE: The parts order has been shipped, it should be here by Saturday! (Cinco de Mayo, Revenge of the Fifth, 05/05/2018!)

Oh boy! A La Ferrari Aperta! It's one of the cars on my "future builds" list, so I am excited to see this topic! Following now! That gearbox is massive! I love it already! The interior is excellent as well, and the bb in the front is a god way to distribute the weight.

SUP BRO

Awesome car! I too am disappointed by the friction of those wheel hubs... Did you need more purple parts than what's in the 42069? And +1 for chassis photos! -
That buggy is looking better and better! And knowing you, @Didumos69, you could probably pick it up by any point you wanted to!

I like the start you have made here! That suspension looks awesome! -
Thanks! I'm proud of it too. Can't test it fully yet, I don't have the parts, and I still haven't received confirmation of my parts order being shipped.

I like both technical write-ups AND photos, so keep it up! Anytime you can/want to is when to post an update. Even if it has been a month. To assist with photos, you either need to have more/better light, and/or a pale background in order to showcase the model more effectively. If you look at your 1st and 2nd photos in the post above, can you see what I mean? The engines are clear and contrast well with the background, thus making them easy to see/study. Contrary to this, the truck disappears into the dark background like a stealth fighter. Bit of hyperbole, but I have that helps!

UPDATE: Gearbox and Shifter are complete! The gearbox is complete, the shifter is (hopefully) at it's final design, but... I'm still waiting on parts to arrive. They should come before next weekend. I am using some system bricks as the 90degree stepper and to ensure a full shift. 1x2 brick w/ axle hole, 1x2 plate, & 1x2 tile. I know it isn't centered properly, however, it works well enough. I may need to wrap another rubber band, or use a shock absorber to ensure it has the necessary strength, but when I get the frictionless connectors, it should be good. Dang! that's a beast! I agree with at @Erik Leppen about starting with the wheel arches, those are always a bit hard to do. And just keep the body simple, you don't need any curves, and angles are not really needed, except around the wheels. @Bartybum Probably to increase the ground clearance because of how the pendular suspension is using the large turntables.

I figured the new gears were... Just a closer look at the outriggers and how they are extended and driven, if you don't mind.
-
Looks pretty darn good, Igor! And it's just my personal preference, but I would make those red pins on the front black.

The new worm gears will not fit in the requisite space, will they? They allow for better contact between the racks and drivetrain. Can you post a closer or overhead shot of the middle section of the crane with the outriggers?
-
Wow. Very impressive start! I personally do not mind the exposed colored axles, I think it looks cool, and it's quite handy to know which function is which. How do you have the outriggers mounted? And what is the gearing on the large linear actuators?
-
Looks a lot better this way, nice work! And it's not worth buying the one black gear, I considered it for my current WIP model, but no, not worth it.

[MOC] Audi Rally Car
Leonardo da Bricki replied to T Lego's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was waiting for better photos before I said anything. This car is excellent! The front suspension uses an great solution in place of wheel hubs! Some color, either as an accent like @Didumos69 mentioned, or even a two-tone body would help a lot, as some of the shaping details, and the interior, get lost in the solid black mass. I am also looking forwards to a video!- 32 replies

UPDATE: Trouble with the order... I have had some trouble with my parts order, and it hasn't shipped yet. It should be shipped on Monday at the earliest, so no more progress on the model yet. I'll get photos up this weekend, I've been working on streamlining a few parts of the model.

In the past, I have presented models when finished, and they got a few views and a couple replies... Now I have posted a WIP topic for my Ariel Nomad, and I quite like the difference. People tell me what they think would improve it, not just praise or negativity. THE CHOICE TO READ OR IGNORE IS YOURS!!! I don't have to "take offense" at a negative comment, or brag and lap up praise (deserved or not). I don't have to make the advised changes if I don't want to, because it is my MOC to build and enjoy! Another thing to mention here about praise, would be to acknowledge it when it is given! A simple "Thanks @example!" is fine. Concerning negative comments... Politely address what was said, or clarify the matter as needed. Either way things fall, EuroBricks is by far the best Lego forum! Such a scale of opinions, ideas, thoughts is awesome to be a part of!
